  • Fleetwood Mac Still rocks

by Debjean on 2009-07-13General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Lindsay Buchingham was unbeleivable, he sure has alot of energy for an old guy! I was concerned that Stevie was not up for it because of the prior cancellations but you would have never known it from her performance! Fleetwood and Mcvie were as always ...phenomenol. It was worth every penny!!!!

  • Feel the Mac

by Rickitwist on 2009-07-13General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Fleetwood Mac put on an amazingly long show! They were as good as I had hoped. Although Stevie was sick and couldn't reach high notes, they still pulled through and amazed all of us watching. I would go again in a heartbeat.

  • fleetwood mac still have it!

saw the concert. first thing we noticed was stevie nicks was very nervous. about three quarters of the way through she seemed to relax. that's too bad - heard "rumours" that something's up with her voice. the guitar and drum solos were awsome. wished they would release a new album. they have always been one of my favourite bands. all in all it was great to see them and I wish them the best.

  • A trip down memory lane

by scousepirate on 2009-07-13General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Despite the lack of Christine McVie's distinctive vocals on a number of songs, my overall impression of this show was that it was fun for both the crowd and the band. Like many people around me I had taken one of my adult children to this show and it was wonderful to see that two generations could both appreciate the music as well as be able to take a trip down memory lane as each one of the hits was played. So many memories! I could vividly picture exactly where I was when I first heard "Rumours" in it's entirity. (Fort Lauderdale on a ship loading grapefruit bound for Japan, by the way). With an average age that passed sixty a number of years ago, I doubt that we will see these guys again. My advice to anyone who is thinking about seeing this show is to do it now. A chance to relive this many good memories doesn't come along very often.

  • Fleetwood Mac delivers!

by fotog on 2009-07-13General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

I've been to a few "classic" rock concerts in the last while - Dylan and Van Morrison basically said screw you and walked through their sets in either a totally unintelligible blur or obviously completely bored. In either case they showed neither respect for the audience or their own art in my opinion, and yes, I know that's "what they do", but they can do it on their own dime as far as I'm concerned. Sting/Police and Annie Lennox at least looked like they were having fun, and John Mayer kicked ass on guitar and gained a whole lot of my respect by reworking his own material in a live venue to be even better than the originals. Fleetwood Mac were't breaking any new ground, but they delivered punched-up versions of classic tunes I've heard a million times, and made them fresh again. Stevie Nicks (not my fave of the female side of FM) was stiff, but Lindsay and Mick played with manic energy and basically carried the show. Buckingham is an awesome player and, for almost two hours, didn't back down. Missed Christine McVie, but not that much. All in all, great value, and if you loved the originals, you won't be disappointed.

  • This was unbelievable!

by Aliy on 2009-07-13General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Great concert. Lindsey Buckingham rocked out hard and loved Fleetwood's shoes! Great energy from everyone. Stevie is still surreal. One of my top 5 concerts for sure. Glad I got to see this show and would go again and again!

  • Fleetwood Mac was an experience!

    by 2Tigers on 2009-07-13General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

We purchased tickets in Vancouver's GM Place and spent the weekend in Vancouver as well. The concert was a little late starting but was not shortened as a result, and it was absolutely fantastic!! Reminded me of the touring days of the great bands of the 70's where the evening was truly a once-in a lifetime experience and the artists put everything they had into every performance. Wonderful to see *professionals* work - so many younger groups don't know the meaning of the word. Stevie Nicks' vocals were solid after a very brief warm-up, and Lindsey Buckingham's guitar was on fire. Mick Fleetwood drummed like a demented Santa Claus in his solos, and John McVie's bass underpinned the entire event like a rhythmic heartbeat. Wonderful - we loved it. Long live Fleetwood Mac!

  • Best Night of my life

    by mama64 on 2009-07-13General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I attended the concert with my 18 year old son - who is a huge fleetwood mac fan as I was I at his age. We don;t spend alot of time together anymore, so we had a full night of dinner then the show. Talked about everything in his life. The concert was the best part though we were on the floor, danced and sang every word to every song. Lindsay was outstanding, and Mick Fleetwood was having a blast, the smile on his face was Unforgetable and it really was the best night of my life.

  • Totally Enjoyable

    by Foxy333 on 2009-07-13General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

I thought the sound was really good and I enjoyed listening to all of their old hits. It was nice to sing along with some of my favorites. I wish I was sitting closer to the stage but it was still a nice view sitting up high. I thought the band played well together after all these years.

  • Amazing night!

by firsttime on 2009-07-13Tacoma Dome - TacomaRating: 5 out of 5

The show was fantastic! It sounded great! The band blended and mix all of their great songs. Lindsey rocked the guitar for 3 hours, including an amazing solo. Stevie Nicks has a sexy sounding voice. Mick and John sound as good now as they did in the 1970's.

  • The most amazing concert I have ever seen!

by Johnson on 2009-07-13General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Fleetwood Mac is one of the classic bands and I was very excited to see them. They put on an awesome show and Lindsay was of the charts. I can't wait for them to come back.

  • Fleetwood Mac rocked the house

by timbercat on 2009-07-13General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Not too many concerts that I want or need to see anymore, I've seen some great ones. The only thing that may have made this any better that it was would be if Christie McVie were there and if I had better seats. It was truly awe inspiring. Lindsay's guitar playing is a amazing at it was the first time I heard them 30 years ago. Stevie, Mick and John are the consumate act. I came, I saw, I sang, I danced. I even bought a T shirt and bragged for weeks that I was there.

  • Too old to tour

by Keeblemomma on 2009-07-13General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 1 out of 5

I went to Fleetwood Mac years ago & they were amazing. This year Stevie should have cancelled Vancouver. She sounded terrible. I heard she was sick. To spend the money on the tickets, drive downtown Vancouver, pay for parking & to go & be that dissapointed & think what a waste of money. All of my friends that I went with felt the same way. She should have cancelled & we should have got our money back.

  • Fleetwood Mac was an awesome concert !!!

by Rhoda on 2009-07-13General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Lindsey Buckingham was unforgettable - what an amazing guitarist. Very talented. I loved the interaction between the 3 of them (Nick/Stevie/Lindsey) on stage ... especially between Stevie & Lindsey. Great music - great memories - great times.

  • Fleetwood Mac FABULOUS!

    by Hanna10 on 2009-07-13General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Great show, the first time I have ever seen them, I was very impressed!

  • Fleetwood Mac: a night to remember!

by niknikj on 2009-07-13General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Fleetwood Mac delivered an amazing show. Lindsey Buckingham is completely under rated. He falls in to the category of guitar god. Mick Fleetwood still rocks it out like 30 years ago. And Stevie, I don't even have to say anything. Go, go, go,....an experience you won't forget!

  • Fleetwood to stay!

by Orchid on 2009-07-13General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Went to Fleetwood Mac, it was awesome as expected except Stevie was still nursing a cold or flu, so she was off stage an awful lot. But they were truly amazing and i would see them again any day.. would love to catch them in small event (if possible!)

  • loved it - takes you back

The whole concert was unbelievable - so talented as a group as well as individually. The solos were great.
