  • Fantastic Fleetwood Mac Show

by Shayna on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I saw Fleetwood Mac about 5 years ago and they put on a great show then and an even better one now. They just sure know how to give it their all. Fantastic experience.

  • As good as 1980

by drolltroll on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Not much changed in the 29 years since I first saw them, with the exception of Christine McVie's absence. 3 solid female backup singers helped, but some of the great tunes are her voice, so... As with the Tusk tour, it was a tight professional delivery. Modest stage. Mick was wide-eyed beating the skins. Stevie wore 3 different shawls. Most impressive was Lindsey Buckingham's solo acoustic performances, including 'Oh Well' again. Buckingham turned a very good pop show into a ROCK concert. Down side - this time it cost close to $220 per seat, including Ticketgouger's portion. Are we concert-goers gone mad? My stub from 1980 shows a cost of just $12.50+!!! Having said that, pay what you have to to see Buckingham when he solo tours again.

  • Fleetwood Mac Rocked

by wooly on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutly amazing concert, Except I lost my t-shirt! Lindsay Buckingham rocked and rocked and rocked, he is my new favorite guitarist. Mic Fleetwood---OMG crazy, who wouldn't want to party with him? And Stevie, she still has an awesome voice, and ya gotta love the high heeled granny boots. Love, love love this band and concert, most excelent!!

  • Fleetwood Mac Still have it going on!!!

by cabe on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

It sometimes is hard to go to a concert and listen to a band that you heard growing up. Fleetwood Mac did a amazing job!!! Their music was just as good as I remembered!!!

  • Fleetwood Mac was older but better!

by seeley on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

I thought the concert was great. It's a treat to see real "artists". They are definitely showing their age and I'm happy I got to see what will probably be one of their last tours.

  • Fabulous Fleetwood Mac

by HunDogs on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was excellent! Sure, some of the higher vocals had to be dropped into a lower key, but it was still bang on! Very impressed with Lindsay Buckingham's skill on the guitar. Of course, it was disappointing that Christine McVie wasn't with the band on tour.....and the only other negative was the recording of crickets being played before the show started - extremely annoying!! It was way too loud and went on far too long. We had to cover our ears, as did many others.

  • Fleetwood Mac delivered!

    by BCLion2 on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Never fully appreciated Lindsay Buckingham's contribution to Fleetwood mac's Success - but wow, was he geat. His impact on the music was evident during the entire concert! Fleetwood Mac had us all singing along, clapping and dancing in our seats throughout the night! Great time! Let's do it again!

  • Fleetwood Mac was awesome

by smoki on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I've loved their music for as long as I can remember and had never seen them in concert live. I didn't know what to expect but it exceeded my expectations. The songs they sang and played were all time favorites, they kept it simple with their stage props and they entertained us all.

They still got it. From beginning to end everyone was on their feet. Ages ranged from 14 to 60 and every one had a great time.

  • Fleetwood Mac

by RickC on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

I was waiting a long time for your tour, but it was not as energy packed as I thought it might be. Your voices didn't sound like I thought they would...and overall energy was a little low. The songs you pic were OK, but more of the hits please.....that's what I was hoping for. Overall not bad.....still love you guys......but I don't think I'd go again if you come on tour in the future.....sorry.

  • Best concert I ever been to!

by Suave on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

The energy was amazing!! The crowd was electrified. Even though the band is in their 60's they still sound like they did 20 years ago!! Stevie couldn't hit the odd high note but most of her songs were perfect!!!

  • Fleetwood Mac incredible show

by djrockin on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

The energy and excitement during the concert was incredible...well worth the money spent. Stevie and the boys put on a show that still brings back so many memories with their songs...even though it was rumoured that she was not well, you could not tell. Incredible show from Stevie, Mick and Lindsay and the rest of the band, definately see it again any time...they truely appreciate the fans as much as the fans appreciate them...Don't Stop.

  • Fleetwood Mac was absolutely incredible!

by Lydiajane on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I have been listening to their music since I was a kid but I only became a big fan over the last few years. When I went to this concert, I went into it knowing what songs were my favourites. I left this concert, however, being completely amazed at how much I loved their other songs as well. When they sang "The Chain" I was actually floored! It was never a favourite of mine, but it took my breathe away. Hands down, best performance I've ever seen.

  • Unleashed Karma

by LadyD on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I waited 30 years to see FM live...after wearing out several vinyl and tape versions of Rumours and waiting months for the concert date to arrive...I lost (or someone stole) 8 tix to the Rumours concert in 1977. We did not discover the tix gone until we were unroute to the Pacific Coliseum in Van BC - needless to say I was not popular and my b/f was ticked off. I could never really enjoy their music the same again. My brother enouraged me to attend their Unleashed tour and as this is the year of my big 50th...,I figured it was time for closure on my FM trama...lol Of course the concert was sold out solid ...so I hit Craigs list...found someone wanted to sell best seats at cost to a fan..so ...I wrote them my story sad but true...they agreed to sell me the tix. Being smart I went to the TM site to verify the seats and tix cost....and shazam....2 tix in the 8th row centre floor came up available...! I bought them ...and printed them pronto...2 mins later not one tix available on TM...hmmm I thanked the FM Karma gods and connected a friend with the Craigs list sellor. To say I was not dissapointed would be an understatement...I attend at least 10 concerts a year....have seen many greats and this ranks as one of the best ever. While of course having Cristy McFee included would have been perfection....I have to tell you that John, Mic, and Stevie...were incredible. I did not sit down through the entire show and they played till they were ready to drop. Both Stevie's and Lindsays vocals were over the top as was Lindsay on guitar... John and Mic were fabulous and even interactive with the crowd...Vancouver loved them and quite frankly they knew it and seemed to appreciate it ...which showed in their performance. Well worth the wait and now FM is playing loud and proud for me again. LOVED IT ...DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW!!!

  • Fleetwood Mac can still put on great show!

    by Sarah08 on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Fleetwood Mac can still put on a great show! Stevie Nicks can bring you back to the 60's and Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood had great energy!

  • Fleetwood Mac was awesome!

by arubarun on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

The Fleetwood Mac concert was awesome!! They rocked the house. So many different age groups were entertained that night and especially the drum solo from Mick that seemed to last forever!! Stevie looked good!! We are so glad they came to Vancouver, and we were the envy of most of our friends and they all admitted that was a concert that they would of loved to seen.

  • Full Circle Moment

by neveradullmoment on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

I went to this whow with my parents and my brother, i'm 27, and it was a life event for us. We have been fans since, i as born, and my parents long before that, the songs that made an even bigger impact live were, Storms, Big Love, Gold Dust Woman, all so special. They did a great job, wasn't the highest energy i suppose but we were on our feet the entire time...and we felt what we paid to be on the floor was worth it.

  • Big Mac Attack?

    by Pharaoh63 on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

Was this what we waited for? A breezy stroll through the hits? It was what was advertised but somehow it all felt so sterile. Oh don't get me wrong, there were some great momentsbut there were just more moments where sitting at home listening to my CDs would have provided the same level of emotion. The ladies loved it, it gave them all they wanted, but it left me wanting. It was a pleasure to watch the inimitable Mick bang the skins and I was thoroughly impressed by Lindsay's energy but felt completely detached from Stevie and John. Stevie's voice is not what it was and perhaps that can be blamed on her health, which we were told wasn't 100%, but her signature was her range and without it, she's not woman we all loved from the '70s. John was content to keep to the shadows, almost as if he was dealing with stage fright, rarely facing the crowd. Overall, a nice evening, but certainly not one I'll reminisce about for years to come. Perhaps finding a way to coax Christine back would be one way to liven up the show. so with all credit due, 3.5 out of 5.
