Four Tops Tickets

We knew that there were only going to be three "Tops" that night and the pianist did a great job of filling in the fourth voice. As a matter of fact, the band was excellent and I gladly would have listened to them for another hour after the SHORT one hour performance by the Four Tops. I feel that for the money we paid, the performance should have been at least 2 hrs long. We have been to several other events at the RRT and this was the shortest in duration and I was disappointed.

They were short a Top, and only performed for about 45 minutes, with no encore. It was only mildly entertaining, and not worth the price of admission.

For a group that I followed as a teenager, I expected them to deliver way more than they did. I've been to Gerry & the Pacemakers, Herman's Hermits, Little Anthony & the Imperials, Johnny Mathis and Rain. All these concerts were well worth seeing. To perform for less than 60 minutes is shameful for a group as great as the Four Tops. They didn't even perform some of their greatest hits. I felt a little cheated to say the least. Good singers but didn't deliver enough of the goods!

I like the old music that I grew up with . the new stuff is I don't know how to describe it? Even that the group had 3 of them they were excellent and I would go again, I have gone to quite a few this year 8 groups and all were great!!!!!!!!!!!! I will keep on going too!! I would like to see more of the old Bands and groups from years back. I always take customers from my business and have never had a negative remark. NOW !!! for the only negative part and you cant control it is the ROADS to get to you!!!! it will be a blessing to get that finished PS don't like to wait if it is to start at 8 it should not 835 I am a stickler on on time appointments Sorry!!

Drove through traffic on a dark rainy night to see the 4 Tops, but after around 20 mins. or so delay we were told there would only be 3 Tops. I now wish we would have left and were refunded our money. Most of the singing was done by one guy and understandably he was probably tired but they were there to put on a good show. The original Top was very out of breath and the other two were more interested in a few flirty women flaunting around at the front of the stage. Only one encore song did not cut it for me especially when we did not get what we paid for.

I really enjoyed the concert, my only complaint would be in regards to the length. A 1/2 hour longer would be more in tune with the money I spent.

I enjoyed the music and the performance by the group. I would have enjoyed it even more if the giggling emanating from the women dancing in front of the stage had been dealt with by the security staff. I didn't pay good money to listen to them laugh while the lead singer was performing a solo.

Unfortunately one of the Four Tops was called to a family emergency so they went on with the show with 3 of them (plus the backup band). A refund was offered by Red Robinson prior to them starting the show, which was admirable. However, first of all they started 20 mins late & did not offer explanation. Then the show was okay but there were few of their own songs, perhaps that is the problem with seeing a band who had just 3 or 4 really recognizable hits. The mauve colored outfits did not really stand out on the stage. The harmonizing was not nearly as strong as I would have thought, because individually they all seemed to have great voices. And perhaps the missing fourth Top would have made a difference. Then, they played for only an hour, it was over so quickly. And finally, no curtain calls. When they were done, they were done. We've seen a few shows at the Red Robinson Theatre, this was not one of the better ones. And those folks around us all commented similarly as we left the theatre.

The music was wonderful, both the band and the singers. They were great entertainers. This was the first time we had been to the Red Robinson Theater. It was really nice that Red Robinson was there to introduce The Four Tops. The seats were comfortable and I don't think there is a bad seat in the theater. I laughed and I cried during the performance. Thank you for a great evening. PS; I wouldn't recommend the restaurant.

This was their second show, they were at the Richmond casino the previous night. Red Robinson came out just before the show was to start to tell the audience that one of the Tops was not going to be there, he had an emergency. We were told we could get a refund right now if we wish. Well I had brought my Dad, 86, in his wheelchair and it was a lot of work to do so and so I was not going to leave, besides I expected that the three would go above and beyond to make up for this. I did not find that to be the case. Theo was amazing, his voice and energy are not what I am writing about. The other two just seemed tired, it seemed as if they decided to go ahead as a threesome because they were already in town and wished to get the second night's pay. I felt the show was slow, sleepy and short. I regretted staying. Next time if there is such circumstances I believe I would leave.
