GLASS TIGER IN CONCERT:
Canadian rockers Glass Tiger are a fierce five-piece band that's been hammering out the hits since 1986, and they sound as fresh as ever nearly 30 years later. Lead singer Alan Frew still knows how to command the stage with his sharp, impeccable vocals and rich guitar strumming while his bandmates shred out solos on hits like "Someday" and "Don't Forget Me (When I'm Gone)". With their popular alt-rock tunes and on-point musicianship, Glass Tiger always brings the house down when they perform for eager ticket buyers on their can't-miss tours.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
The members of Glass Tiger – singer Alan Frew, keyboard player Sam Reid, guitarist Al Connelly, bassist Wayne Parker, and drummer Michael Hanson – first got together in 1983 and performed under the name Tokyo. They earned their big break a year later playing for sold-out crowds as an opening act for Boy George and Culture Club on tour. They attracted attention from several labels at the shows, eventually signing to Capitol Records and changing their name to the current moniker. They earned widespread acclaim with their four-times platinum-selling debut Thin Red Line, which featured the smash hit "Don't Forget Me (When I'm Gone)" – a song that peaked at No. 1 on the Canadian Songs chart, earned the band three Juno Awards, and launched them to international stardom. Glass Tiger continued to enjoy success with their follow-up releases Diamond Sun (1988) and Simple Mission (1991), which they supported with extensive touring throughout their native Canada. After a hiatus that saw the band's members pursue various other projects, the group got back together in 2003 to perform local shows. Although the band has had a lineup change since reforming with new drummer Chris McNeill, Glass Tiger still knows how to rock a crowd and deliver a hit-filled live show.

Glass Tiger was awesome. The band was great and the lead singer was funny, interacted with the audience and generally looked like they were all having fun. The music was so good and their voices were exactly how I remembered the songs. Great concert and would definitely see them again.
Glass Tiger put on a great show, she sounded just as great as they did in the 80s. I loved the Scottish song with the accordion as well.

All was great but delaying start to 9 after everything was set up already, not cool. Also, guy that looked like he was playing his CD player in his mom's basement could have read the crowd a little better.
I have to say that Glass Tiger not only have amazing Music and Lyrics but they come across as some beautiful people. With hilarious stories that made me laugh out loud. I enjoyed every minute of the concert and would see them again in a heartbeat!
This is the second time I’ve seen Glass Tiger and I was not disappointed. The original group was all back and performed flawlessly. Really enjoyed my time with them. Outstanding show and lead singer Alan Frew has retained a very strong singing voice all these years. High energy concert and great interaction with the audience. Two thumbs up. Fun show.
Glass Tiger canceled a concert here about 3 years ago due to covid. Then they moved their show from Friday to Thursday which is hard on the working fans, but worth the wait! While they were supposed to be on at 9 p.m. & we waited until 9:45, they put on a show!! Such a great bunch of guys, so kind during a fan medical emergency, and they had everone singing & dancing for the entire performance! Hey, the pre-show do even kept the crowd entertained. Come back soon GT -- we love ❤️ you all!
Was a totally epic concert. Seen them twice this week alone. Once at the River Cree in Enoch and again in Calgary two night later. Couldn’t have asked for a better show!

What a show!! These guys (and girl!) can still rock it like it was 1986. Great mix of songs. Had us on our feet more than once, singing (shouting) along to all their greatest hits. Alan Frew’s voice still sounds the same as it did 40 years ago. Loved every minute. 100% would recommend and would definitely pay to see them again. 10/10

My friend and I had the BEST time at Glass Tiger Saturday night. Amazing crowd and performance. We were right up front at the stage the whole show. Thank you for letting us be so up front and personal. It really elevated the experience. Your voices and musicality were fantastic. I’ve wanted to see you for ages and am thrilled I finally got to see you and dance to such a great repertoire of your songs. Thank you!! J :-)
One of my fav bands. Personable, interactive with the audience, and great music! Saw them in ‘86 and they are still amazing and going strong in 2025!
Hey Fans if you want to stand please go to the floor , have some respect for your fellow fans. Great Performance by the Band. many many what seemed like hardcore GT fans. Surprisingly this was a very emotional crowd really also noted by the Band at one piont No slight against GT at all but this was not a super band concert but many seemed to think so by the extreme emotions displayed. Oh well Vancouver crowds always seem this way even for Hockey games emotions running wild, over emotions good or bad the concert was great thanks GT.
