Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Tim Hortons Field
Tim Hortons Field has been the home of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats since 2014. Built on the site of the long-standing Ivor Wynne Stadium, Tim Hortons Field was built for the 2015 Pan American Games and has become a vibrant hub for CFL action. At “The Donut Box,” Ticat fans can be heard cheering along with team mascots Stripes and T.C. and sounding off the longtime "Oskee Wee Wee" chant led by Pigskin Pete. The 23,218-seat multi-purpose stadium has hosted two Grey Cup championship games, including the 2021 matchup between the Tiger-Cats and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. In 2023, the capacity record for the stadium was set at 28,808 during the 110th Grey Cup game.

I love the new stadium, I have a great time every visit! However I wish the seats were heated! It was very cold!
Everything went well. Seat location was excellent. Upper deck 40 yard line. Concessions, washrooms, etc. All up to standard. All stadium staff [Ushers, Security & Ticket Scanners were all very courteous and helpful. We're not from Hamilton and this was our first visit to Tim Horton's Field
The product on the field is good. Seats were good. No obstructions and can view the game play well. I gave an overall rating because the facilities at the stadium were subpar. Long line-ups everywhere including during game play. The washrooms were repulsive and they did not appear to be cleaned all during the game, despite extremely long line ups. Basically the number of facilities available are inappropriate for the number of people and the stadium was only about 2/3 full. Given the long line-ups at the concession it isn't even worth purchasing anything because you miss half the game to do so.
We traveled from SK to attend the Hamilton Tiger-Cats home game on labour day Sept. 4, 2017 vs. The Toronto Argonauts. We were also visiting Toronto during this trip. We had never been to this stadium before and were excited to check it out. We took in the tailgate party outside the stadium before the game and that was fun, great atmosphere! No problems finding our seats either. The game itself was not that exciting at the start, but was getting better and then the lighting and rain started! There was a two hour plus delay of the game but unfortunately we did not stay until the game resumed, we left early. But the weather is no one's fault! We enjoyed the time we spent there and the Tiger-Cats eventually won the game!
Losing 39-12 to Winnipeg at home has to be the lowest point of the season. Will not be attending another game this year. Would rather watch McMaster Marauders. At least, they have a winning football team and play with heart and passion which is foreign to this year's TiCats.
Great to see the Ti-Cats new stadium and even better that my Bombers won
New stadium is a slight improvement on ivor wynne, Still not a great area to have a sports facility. Municipal parking lots are not well marked so parking is $10. Tiger_Cats are just awful so they didn't make a competitive game as I didn't really care who won.
Had a great time at the game July 20th. Wonderful atmosphere in the stadium. Comfortable seats and great people! We were visiting from Edmonton, wearing our colors, and the folks around us were very welcoming and engaging. CFL fans are awesome!
we sat in the stands facing west. the sun was BRUTAL, in our face and hot, until it set behind the opposite grandstand. Way too often, the announcer urged the crowd to make noise when the Hamilton defence was on the field. It was really annoying to listen to. He took away any crowd spontanaety; he should let us think and react for ourselves. The music before the game, and during breaks, was WAY too loud. I could barely talk to the person with whom I attended the game. The sales clerk who sold me a cup of coffee had no idea where I could get milk and sugar. She pointed me in the wrong direction.
its was awesome...food wasnt great but we had a great time
Arrived 15 min before kickoff. Hundreds of people at all gates lined up. They were scanning every person with a wand and it was obvious that they didn't know what they were doing. DISASTER! Missed almost the whole first quarter. What bright light thought this one up. They have been searching bags for years. Why this now? Was there a code red we didn't know about? I will not attend another game if this continues.
First time at the new field, it is fantastic! Service all through the event was top notch. Great fans they were respectful and enjoyable to be around, even for my 12 year old! only downside was getting a shirt that said $119 for my son but because it had a players name and number it was also $70.00 more so watch out for that if you are not willing to spend it.
I had a GREAT TIME, The game was exciting, everyone made me feel so welcome. SUPER experience, I would definitely do it again.
So much excitement and hype!! Great layout, short lines, not as awful prices as some! I cant wait to go back!!
Hamilton fans are a LOT louder than Toronto fans... just a warning. They are mostly friendly.... they like a friendly rivalry. I wouldn't take kids to a game though as the fans are very loud and there's a lot of yelling throughout the game. The stadium is fantastic! great views from every seat I've ever sat in. Food is good - LOTS of givaways and activities before the game. I am an argos fan but I love going to the games in Hamilton, it's very exciting to watch the fans get so wound up about their players. Security and staff at the stadium are friendly and very helpful.
Tim Horton's Field is a beautiful facility to see live football. Watching my Ticats dominate the Riders at my very first game at Tim Horton's Field was very gratifying and I plan to travel to see more Ticat home games in the future!! Oskee Wee Wee, GO CATS GO!!!
best game around. ticats football is always worth your time to see some canadian men play the game that has been around longer then the nfl. Oskee wee wee. go cats go
By far it was the worst game I've ever been at including high school or even the UW Warriors. Talk about underachieving. No field goals, and at $100 per seat that works out to about $33 per point, and a very poor return on investment. Entertainment wise, the cheerleaders were terrific and it was good to see the new Tim Hortons field, finally, and the flyover of Lancaster bomber VR-A, and the fireworks on Canada Day.
I can not believe a professional sporting venue could be operated so poorly. How does a place called Tim Hortons Field run out of COFFEE! ???
Tim Hortons Field is a great venue. Too bad that the TigerCats didn't show up to play. They lost to B.C. Lions 28-3. If the TigerCats play like this all year, I wouldn't recommend watching them at Tim Hortons Field or any other venue. Don't waste your money on them. They played like a second-rate team, a bunch of also-rans.
