    Fabulous

by Sandi on 2022-07-08Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Excellent cast. The singing was amazing. I had a hard time getting all the words in the rap parts but I knew the story so that helped. Loved the 2nd half the best as there was more singing than rap. Costumes and setting was perfect. Not great seats for me as I have a knee that doesn’t bend well so fortunately there were a couple of seats across the aisle that I could move to that were better.

    Terrific show!

by Scully on 2022-07-08Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Really enjoyed Hamilton: the music was great, the set design was so good you forgot how small the space actually is (and then you think later "How did they do all of that???"), and the performances were terrific.

    So ❤️ Hamilton!!

by Dea on 2022-07-07Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Mine and my sister's family all went together along with my Dad. Most of us know the songs by heart. Fabulous!! Some of us saw H in San Francisco, and so great to have the same performers as Hamilton and Burr from there! Also saw in New York and the touring show very comprable!! So glad is finally came to Alberta! Go. See. This. Best. Of. Musicals!!

    Sound Problems

by SM on 2022-07-07Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

The sound in the Jubilee was really bad! It was really sad - you can't hear Washington at all, and can barely understand Lafayette/Jefferson. The women's voices are crisp and clear, but anything deeper is lost. I am very surprised the audio engineers/director isn't catching this. My sister went a few days before and had the exact same experience of not being able to hear any of the male cast voices. It is a huge shame because it ruins a fantastic musical. please fix the sound! Also - the Jubilee was quite empty, and they should offer seats to fill it up - there are so many people who would LOVE this play.

    Wow!!

by JennEX on 2022-07-06Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

The show was spectacular!! The actors really brought it for the second act! Only issue we had was with people beside us with their phone lit up looking for their next musical and talking during the second act. Something that could have waited until afterwards-and enjoy what was in front of them.

    Poor Audio Mixing

by Mori on 2022-07-06Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Broadway Across Canada continues to struggle with sound mixing at the Jubilee theatre. Unfortunately, this muddied up a ton of the vocals and at times the performers were drowned out by the orchestra. The cast itself, with the notable exception of George Washington, were exceptional, however they could not make up for the sound issues.

    Great show with compromised execution

by Minu A on 2022-07-06Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Brilliant musical but some of the actors were hard to understand clearly, particularly George Washington and Lafayette/Jefferson. Made me regret watching Hamilton here in Canada instead of the original cast in Broadway itself.

    this show is beyond words

by Tyler the tank engine on 2022-07-06Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

When the cast started singing, I could see that they were not afraid to speak loudly and I'm very sure that everyone could hear them clearly when singing. The show was funny and interesting. This was a very good experience for me and I hope other people get to see this show. One small note, I noticed that Eliza Hamilton was supposed to be casted by Victoria Ann Scovens but was instead casted by Charlotte Mary Wen. This show was awesome and I finally got to see Hamilton live.

    Exceptional

by Audrey on 2022-07-06Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I had incredibly high expectations of this performance and had to budget to make the ticket price and it was worth every penny :) The cast put their own spin on the individual pieces and made it their own while still maintaining the integrity of the show and sticking to the authenticity of the original. I absolutely loved it. I would like to mention that the 'microphone work' in the congress scene had very distorted sound and was difficult to understand. I hope this was a one off for just the Canada Day performance.

    poor sound, but good show

by Colin on 2022-07-06Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

The sound was poor to the point where you couldn't understand some of the vocals. Too much reverb on the vocals probably the result of the room/building. Hard to follow the story when you can barely understand the lyrics

    Great show, sound needs fixing

by J. S. on 2022-07-06Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Saw a matinee well into a run. It's a great show, but I am not sure why the sound production isn't making adjustments for the large space - levels were low and much of the dialogue did not carry up to the first balcony. Performers didn't compensate and were often in rushed and low tones, I'm not sure why overall this issue is not identified and adjustments aren't made. If I wasn't already very familiar with the show it would have been extremely difficult to follow this performance.

    Great show, sound needs adjustment

by J. S. on 2022-07-06Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Great show, very familiar with the soundtrack. We saw a matinee well into the run and it was surprising that the sound was not corrected - much of the dialogue and

    Great show…hard to hear

by D. S. on 2022-07-06Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

The show itself is absolutely amazing but the microphones were terrible to a point you couldn’t understand what was being said allot of the time.

    Lyrics hard to understand

by Sally on 2022-07-06Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Hamilton is a big show and the history is an important story. The lyrics, however, were mostly indecipherable to me so the narrative was hard to follow. Excellent talent on stage and beautiful costuming.

    Review of Hamilton

by Bruce on 2022-07-06Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

The venue was unsafe for the singers and the audience. There was supposed to be a Health Chek by the Jubilee to confirm vaccination status. This was not done. Announcements were made in the auditorium saying that masks were required. This was not enforced. As for the musical, I would give it a 2 out 5 since the plot was hard to understand; a combination of acoustics and singing in rap. Overrated!

    Amazing!

by Kim on 2022-07-06Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

A completely entertaining show start to finish. The music, the talented singers, the choreography, the story...beyond what I have seen before. A show one could see mutiple times!

    great show

by Calster on 2022-07-05Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Production, choreography, singing was top notch! A stronger narrative was need to pull it all to together...and I expected Hamilton to have it. This Musical sometimes felt like a Seusical. The best musical based a Politician this year was not Hamilton...it was the local production of Hot Boy Summer...very loosely based on Jason Kenney
