  • Peter Noone was remarkable.

    by 12funpeople on 2010-03-07Deerfoot Inn & Casino - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

I organized 12 friends of similar age for a nostalgic fun evening out!! It was a success, fun was had by all. It was a trip down memery lane with a fab sing-along and dance in your seat event! Peter has done a great job preserving his vocals most admirable.

I have always liked his songs, but never realized how funny he can be. Some of his song leadins were hilarious . He sang mostly his own songs and sang them as I remember them, he didn't change them beyond recognition like some of the artists have been doing.

  • Peter Noone & Herman's Hermits

    by Hofner1 on 2010-03-07Deerfoot Inn & Casino - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

We're seen Peter Noone and the Hermits now 3 times and I have to say I thought his voice sounded stronger this time around. He is a very funny entertainer who can mimic many other singers and his comedy routines are very good as well. It may be the 'same' routines but I always find myself laughing at them. He can work a room like no one. The Hermits band are very talented and the keyboardist is especially good at handling the 'bass' parts as well as the needed flourishes ie. strings. Mr. Noone is a very gracious person who will sign and greet his fans after the show. Highly recommended for those who love the British Invasion type tunes.

A fun evening, although the seating arrangement is deplorable...

  • HERMAN'S HERMITS has an edge!

by mikw on 2010-01-22River Rock Show Theatre - RichmondRating: 3 out of 5

The music was the invasion brit-rock from the 60's and the current lineup did a decent job of reproducing the original sounds (although most of the band has changed). Peter Noone is cheeky. During this show he made questionable references about; overweight people, Asian people, South Asian people, old people, Coquitlam and his band.

  • HERMAN, NO LONGER A SHY HERMIT

by Mcco on 2010-01-20River Rock Show Theatre - RichmondRating: 4 out of 5

Hard to know what to expect when you haven't seen him for decades, from the time he was the shy clean-cut boy next door. Well, the kid grew up and, wow, what an entertaining, relax showman. Forget the glitter, the big fancy stage, the paraphenelia; WHAT WE GET IS A LOT OF FUN IN ALL SIMPLICITY. In a word, NOT TO MISS, especially in the middle of winter. A good laugh and a sing along does a lot of good for your spirit. And Peter was the man. Now, if someone asked you who you went to see, NO-ONE was not the right answer!

  • Hermans Hermits

by Hermelda on 2010-01-19River Rock Show Theatre - RichmondRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was super - I have seen 3 of their shows so far. Once at Red Robinson Theatre & twice at River Rock. Peter Noone puts on a good act, as he adds quite a bit of humor. He is still a great singer, so we enjoyed hearing those songs we heard in the 60's & 70's.

by Carolsquared on 2010-01-18River Rock Show Theatre - RichmondRating: 5 out of 5

What an amazing show!!! Peter Noone wowed us with his humour, stories and hits from the 60's. The show was non-stop laughing and singing along. We walked out with others who were smiling, still laughing and talking to those around them of what an excellent evening we had just shared. I would definitely go see Herman's Hermits again.

"Herman", Peter Noone doesn't just belt out the tunes sounding alot like he did 40 years ago when I saw him, but he entertains, jokes, and talks to the audience. he also through in a number of cover songs which were done very well. A lot of fun!

The music was excellent and sounded authentic to the original version which was great. What was not expected but made the night was the laughter that was created by the sense of humor of Peter Noone.
