Lots of fun. A good 'clean' show. Suitable for all ages.
I was pleasantly surprised at how good Herman's hermits was. Peter Noone can still sing amazingly. Great fun in a fantastic venue. Not a bad seat inthe house . We will definately go to more shows here.
We went to the show not knowing what to expect, but having liked the group when we were kids. What a great surprise we got!! If anything, Peter Noone's voice is better than it was when he was younger, and he is really very comical. He doesn't take himself seriously, and the way he poked fun at himself and how he is growing older made us feel really connected to his act, as we are are the same age as him. I couldn't believe how much energy he had, and he didn't even take a break in the show. It was great to hear and sing along to all the oldies. All 4 of us who went really enjoyed the evening. Oh! and Peter is aging amazingly well, despite how he kids about it.
I relived my Calgary experience of seeing the Herman's Hermits in the 60's. Peter Noone has a great sense of humour and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
The show was fantastic, Peter still has a great voice and knows how to entertain. He had the audience involved and it brought back memories. Truly one of the great acts from the 60's. What a great sense of humour and could perform other artists hits too.
What an excellent concert! I didn't know that he was a comedian too! I'm sure that I was probably one of the youngest fans there (I'm almost 34) I love Herman's Hermits! River Rock Theatre in Richmond is really a great venue, I would see more shows/concerts there in the future
As always, the concert was amazing! This is about our fifth time at Hermans Hermits, and we are always elated by it . They always seem to enjoy themsevles up there so much , especially Peter. It was a dream fulfilled meeting Peter., as a teen I would watch him on the Ed Sullivan Show and dream. Well anyway both my wife and I can hardly wait for the next time. Good luck and goodbye, until next time.
We absolutely loved the show. Peter Noone was very entertaining, both while singing his greatest hits, as well as when he was kibitzing with members of the audience. It was so much fun listening to the old songs that made the Hermits such a great band in the 1960s and early '70s. It brought back many memories of those days. It was a high-quality act that he put on. His voice is still there when he sings his songs. It was also very classy to have him stay after the show and sign autographs for the people who came to watch him sing. He stayed there till all who wanted one went through the line. This told me a lot about his class as an entertainer. Bring him back next year!
The music was great, Peter Noone's vocals are as good as ever, and the comical skits were hilarious. Excellent entertainment!
Peter Noone was very entertaining. He had a lot of audience participation. His jokes were funny and he's handsome as ever. Listening to him sing, made me feel like a teenager again. He stll has a great voice. I hope he returns to Winnipeg again to put on another great show.
Still that same unmistakable voice. Very personable and down to earth guy, too. Great show, well worth the price.
Peter Noone is an amazing entertainer! Listening to the music brought back so many fond memories. Loved every minute and would go again in a heart beat! Thanks a million!
Lots of wonderful sixties music including some of their big hits. Peter Noone is a really good entertainer, hilarious with his Mick Jagger impersonation, and fun when he talks about things that are relevant to the city, and sings about the venue he's playing in.
Well worth the money, Peter Noone is a showman who can sing and entertain, he had the audience eating out of his hand. All too soon it was over. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the show. More of the same please!
The show was excellent. He sang all the hits from the 60's and was quite the showman. His voice was just as great now as it was in the 60's. Unforgettable.........................Thank you for a dream come true
I was too young to see Herman’s Hermits on a double bill with The Who when they came to Winnipeg back in the mid-60’s. Fast forward 45 years in time, and I was finally given my chance to catch “Herman” (aka Peter Noone) in action at the McPhillips Street Station. Peter Noone bounded on stage amid fanfare and applause, dressed in a black suit and looking like he’d barely aged a day, in sharp contrast to the appearance of the vast majority of his 60’s British Invasion peers. But then Peter was only 16 years old when Herman’s Hermits scored their first No 1 – “I’m into Something Good” in 1964. The 62-year-old Noone’s voice is instantly recognizable and he’s lost none of his boyish looks, energy, charm or appeal as evidenced by the sold out McPhillips Street Station audience – largely consisting of baby boomer females. The “Henry the VIIIth” hitmaker’s 4 plus decades onstage have made him a consummate showman. The crowd loved Noone’s irreverent humor and storytelling almost as much as they did listening to his numerous hits. The singer’s ability to adlib and poke fun is formidable. He’d often eschew Herman’s Hermits hits to banter playfully with the audience and toss off totally unorthodox 60’s era songs (for a British Invasion act) such as Johnny Cash’s “Folsom Prison” or Johnny Horton’s “Battle of New Orleans”, and still have the crowd eating out of his hand. After much teasing and kibitzing, Noone finally gave the crowd what they came to hear, knocking out hits like “I’m into Something Good,” “Listen People,” Silhouettes” “No Milk Today” and “Leaning on a Lamp.” Noone’s pipes are still extremely strong, and his tight 4 piece backing band did a fine job of the arrangements. Remarkably, even though he’s probably played these songs literally thousands of times, he continues to bring great energy, freshness and enthusiasm to the numbers. Noone brought the night home with a crowd participation packed power medley which included, “End of the World,” Can’t You Hear My Heartbeat,” “Mrs Brown You’ve Got A Lovely Daughter,” “Henry the XIII” and finishing with “There’s Kind of Hush” which brought the packed house to it’s feet and left them milling out at the end of the night with shining eyes, clearly having recaptured their youth if only for a few brief moments, courtesy of Peter Noone and company.
Hearing all the songs we loved by Herman`s Hermits was so much fun! And Noone and the band have an abundance of energy and humour. A great time was had!
Fantastic Peter Noone was brillant. I shall go and see him again when he comes back to Winnipeg
This show was one of the best I have seen at the casino. Peter was most entertaining, his voice sounded very similar to what it was years ago.
The Hermits are from the era of my youth and I went to the concert without too many expectations as I thought that time would have taken its toll. Instead, Peter Noone's voice sounded as powerful and distinctive as it did all those years ago and his stage presence and gift of entertainment were of the highest quality. I was proud to be English and to watch this group perform so wonderfully.
