Blues rock guitarist/singer Jared James Nichols is widely considered one of the best guitarists of the 21st century. Originally from Wisconsin, he's the frontman of a power trio that performs under his own name.

With a dark, atmospheric take on rock music reminiscent of Cream, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Soundgarden, Nichols has made a name for himself landing on several outstanding guitarist lists and even has his own signature Epiphone Les Paul guitar named after him.

In 2010, Nichols moved to Los Angeles to pursue his music career and won the Gibson Les Paul Tribute Contest and the Musicians Institute Most Outstanding Player Award. He then formed the Jared James Nichols trio, which made waves on the legendary Sunset Strip and released the EP Live at the Viper Room.

Three full-length albums followed, including Old Glory & The Wild Revival (2014), Highwayman (2015) and Black Magic (2017). Nichols has also toured around the world with renowned musicians including ZZ Top, Kid Rock and one of his musical heroes, Lynyrd Skynyrd.

With aspirations from a very young age to play classic and blues rock for a modern generation for as large an audience as possible, Jared James Nichols spent thousands of hours practicing guitar when he was growing up in Wisconsin. At the age of 18 he discovered that he could play the guitar more adeptly and create sounds that he couldn't when using a pick, so he became known as one of the few professional electric guitarists who doesn't use a pick.

Nichols' story and determination were chronicled in Honda's Uncharted mini-documentary series, which received more than 7 million views the first month it was released. It also illustrated the love and support he received from his father when pursuing his dream of becoming a renowned classic rock and blues guitarist.

Nichols has traveled the world touring with the likes of Living Colour, Blue Öyster Cult and ZZ Top, as well as some of his heroes, including Slash, Peter Frampton and Steve Vai. Now he's well on his way to becoming a guitar legend and household name himself.
