Journey in Concert

As the original legends of arena rock, few bands in existence put on a show quite like Journey. Anchored by singer Arnel Pineda's thrilling vocals and Neal Schon's unstoppable guitars, the band continues to show fans, both old and new, exactly how it's done as they tear through marathon sets of classics like "Don't Stop Believin'" and "Open Arms." After a short break from their relentless tour schedule, they're primed to blow minds again in 2014, pairing up with Steve Miller Band for select dates that are sure to be the stuff of classic rock legend for years to come.

Journey Background

San Francisco-born Journey is the quintessential arena rock band. Assembled in 1973 from the ashes of Santana and Frumious Bandersnatch, the band has since gone through a number of line-up changes — only stalwart guitarist Neal Schon has been with every incarnation. Despite a rotating roster, the band has sold 47 million albums in the US, and is consistently named one of the ten best American rock bands in history. While the '70s and '80s provided them with the most commercial success, their current manifestation with Filipino singer Arnel Pineda has given them truly global breadth.

Journey/Foreigner/Night Ranger @ the Molson Amp

by Kymberlee on 2011-08-11Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

Great concert - lighting, sound, everything was done quite well, considering it was at the Molson Ampitheatre, which can be limiting. Night Ranger was great, tho I only remembered one song from them - Sister Christian. Foreigner totally owned the show as far as I'm concerned. Journey did well, but the whole "this is from our new album, exclusively available at Walmart" introduction sort of ruined it. Why on earth they'd plug this is beyond me, but whatever. I wasn't keen on the new songs intermashed with their classics (Journey) but I understand it's gotta be done. New singer sounded good. BUT, in my opinion, Foreigner ripped this show right out from under Journey's feet. They were amazing - hit after hit after hit with a LOT of energy on stage. LOVED it.

    Journey/Foreigner/Night Ranger

by Anonymous on 2011-08-11Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

Great show! All the classics were played and it was great to see such an age range in the audience. The only downside was when Journey played 2 songs from a new album. Let's be honest people, we're here to hear the classics. Your peak time has come and we just want to relax and go back in time a little and sing our hearts out to the songs we grew up with. I

3 for the price of 1

by shelz on 2011-08-11Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

Good show, lots of fun and full of classic hits. Not gonna lie, I was essentially expecting a bunch of cover bands as a result of Steve Perry and Lou Gramm not being on the bills any more, but I was definitely impressed...especially with Arnel Pineda - the frontman of Journey. He was fantastic, true to the music, and if you closed your eyes you'd almost be certain you were listening to Steve Perry from back in the 80's.

Just saw Journey at the Molson Ampitheatre in Toronto. Abosolutely the best concert I've seen in years. Foreigner and Night Ranger were also amazing! The concert was so amazing, my wife and I bought another 5 Star VIP package for Las Vegas on October 8th. Who's crying now Steve Perry?

Foreigner and Journey created a musical experience that will go on my list as one of my favorite concerts of all time. Even with the heat they were enduring they gave us their all and it was well worth it. It was the highlight of my summer!

    Journey - Foreigner Night Ranger

by DDBD on 2011-07-31Xcel Energy Center - Saint Paul

What an amazing show from beginning to end! Night Ranger warmed up the crowd - Foreigner got the fire roaring - what a great performance they had - engaged the audience every step of the way. Journey brought it all together with more crowd pleasing interactions with so many of their classics - Would do it over again in a heartbeat! Thank you!!!!!

    Journey still has it.

    by Forest58 on 2009-09-29Amway Arena - Orlando

Night Ranger could add new musicians or songs to their play list. Journey was excellent and should look at producing some new songs

    Journey was great

by Racal on 2009-09-21Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - Alpharetta

The venue was easily accessible, great sound, and easy exit after the show. We didn't immediately recognize Night Ranger until they began to play familiar songs. Journey brought the crowd to their feet and kept them there for the majority of the night. The lead singer, although not an original, was up to the task and preformed the familiar songs without any loss of experience. Thoroughly enjoyed the bands and experience.

Heart and Journeay what a combination

by honeybee on 2009-09-14Verizon Wireless Arena - Manchester - Manchester

Wow, what an amazing show! Sisters Anne et Nancy Wilson came back full force and showed us what they are made of! The songs they chose were amazing altought there are some I would have loved to hear, but again they were on for 1 hour... Ann has not lost anything, her voice is still as strong, simply a great opening for Journey. Journey was also very amazing. The new signer is great, his voice is so cloe to Steve Perry's it's freaky!!! He moves all over the stage and has a great presence. Whta can I say about the other members of the group, simply incredible. All togother it was well worth the trip as we drove 5 and a half hours form Montreal to see them!!!

It's always a great experience going to a Journey concert. This one is just one of them. The venue is wonderful, the atmosphere is surreal, and the crowd truly rocked the house. I will definitely go see Journey again next year - on their tour for their new album. YES!!!
