King's Plate Tickets

The Queen’s Plate experience at Woodbine is not the same as it used to be. It seems that the standards for class have fallen. The lines are longer, the food and drink choices are lacking, the prices are inflated and the track is a huge jumbled mess. It seems that if you want an elevated experience for what is supposed to be a classy event, you can pay extra for access to an open area but then you lose any chance of getting a decent seat and vantage point. The information on the Woodbine website for each ticket package is extremely vague and the only way to get a guaranteed seat is to pay for a seat (and then be relegated to fighting with the masses for crappy food and drink). I remember the experience being way more classy when I was younger. Woodbine could take some cues from Saratoga or Gulfstream and pick things up a notch. People dressed to the nines would be willing to pay for it.

If your looking for a fun time the Queens Plate is definitely a vibe! From taking in the scenery and people watching with their Sunday Best to having a thrill of betting and seeing the horses race. Queens Plate is something you should experience for yourself. It is exhilarating!

Not like it used to be before Covid. The area outside used for pre race activities and food trucks is really lacking and not up to the standards expected for a high class event like the Queens Plate.

I purchased the Premium Track side tickets for myself and a friend. When we arrived, the security staff did not scan us even though they were holding the wands. They were busy talking to each other. After our tickets were scanned, there was only one person that could tell us where we are to go. But after the initial directions we got lost because of the lack of signage. I must have asked at least four staff members and none of them knew what kind of tickets I had and either did not know where I was to go or gave us wrong information. Finally I found one very helpful female staff (manager type) and she actually walked with us to the area we were suppose to be. One of the reasons she walked with us was because she wanted to make sure the 3 young women at the entrance would let us in. She explained some other patrons before us were turned away at the entrance to the track side area because the staff did not know that their tickets were for this area. There is a definite lack of training. When I purchased my tickets I was lead to believe there was to be indoor and outdoor seating and that we could move between both areas. There was only outdoor seating and not enough seating for everyone in that area, It was extremely hot that day and there were not enough umbrellas to shade all of us. We had to complain several times to the young women at the entrance before another staff member (most likely management) brought us umbrellas from the giftshop. Also it should be advertised as to what was to be on the menu. I was shocked as to what I had to choose from, hamburgers and sausages. I will most likely not attend another Queens Plate event again for the price of the tickets.

There were a lot of people. I wouldn't pay to go again, I would rather go on a regular day.

In the Covid era, I believe the event was above average in terms of customer satisfaction. If there is space available, I would suggest there be more outlets for food beverages and in-person betting booths. I found the line-ups for food and beverage were excessive. More sales, better customer satisfaction equals more revenue. Thanks, TR

All woodbine staff were great. It’s my first time at the races in a long time. Staff were eager to assist me in finding things and how wagering and redeeming vouchers works.

I personally witnessed multiple fist fights moments from starting up. Hours long lines for food Absurd lines for drinks and total disorganization Absolutely never going back to woodbine unless I’ve been strictly assured that it will never be the same or I am offered a premium experience in replacement for what I experienced that day. Appalling lack of attention and untrained staff.

it was awesome as always is the Queensplate,, Except the seats and rows should be marked better so its easy to find where you sit etc.. recomend highly to see Queensplate

My husband and I took three of our grandchildren for the day to the Queen’s Plate. Their parents were at a spa out of town celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary. It was the most enjoyable and exciting experience since the Pandemic began. The children loved it!

Crap food..music on speakers was terrible, too loud, just overall a dud of a time...rating 1 to 10?...2 is best I could say.

Great experience. Beautiful horses, fashion, an event that is so much fun.

This is my 5th Queens Plate in attendance and I have to say it’s an experience that never disappoints. Everyone looked so amazing and the energy was very uplifting. The live band and DJ music was just pumping. Looking forward to next year.

Fantastic venue. All facilities were of very good standards. Staff were informed and well mannered.

As well as the racing we also like to attend the Casino. The problem was that the you could touch each other but you had to go outside to get to either one, it was long walk and being disablerd and having to walk with a cane kit took about ten minutes each way to get to either one. Not impressed.

So fun to dress up in British style. We were impressed with the number of people who wore hats, fascinators etc. The race was exciting ! I was disappointed with the short duration of the entertainment ( Jim Cuddy...15 minutes) But overall a very fun event

No outside events...not as crowded but also not as fun. Staff really not informed of what was going on for events, concerts etc. Came home a double winner so all in all a great day to be out! Perfect Weather. crowds were dressed to the nines!

Watch when you go as pricing listed for all food and drinks are not updated. I was told by staff after purchased when I question my receipt that pricing and menu boards NOT updated since 2019 . Example pop stated $3.50 but charged $5.00. With a BIG event going on these should of been all updated. Staff (I think outside company) were clueless about seating . location.

Many issues which could be fixed with a better entertainment coodinator. When we arrived and shoed our tickets to 3 different people we were told that they didn't know, directed us in the wrong direction and then the 4th prrson was great and walked us to our sears but because there were no #s on the seats couldn't be sure of the seats. When the bands were playing someone needed to turn the loud speakers off in the stands. Just simple stuff which anyone should know.
