  • Simply Awesome band, and very personable fellas

by Sheepstein on 2013-04-01Louis' Pub - SaskatoonRating: 5 out of 5

Punk, country, folk, rock, blues, poetic writing. It's all there. Simply genius stuff. Much, much respect. Hope the road treats them well and not too lonely for home. This is a a band that needs to be introduced to more people. They touch all emotions and they kick ass too. Seeing these guys in an intimate environment like Louie's pub on campus with 200 or so people from ages 19 to 60 was very, very special. Ben slows it down a bit and says something like..."Sorry to play so much slow shit on your Saturday off...'. I say, no. Bring it all on. The slower material is heartwrenching, beautiful, therapeutic stuff. Ben is very personable with the crowd too. And after the show, they mingled with the crowd for while. Got a couple of pics with Benny and my buddy. What a poet, what a band, what a great group of musicians. Ben mentioned Saskatoon was a place he never imagined playing at. Well, thanks for making the trip up to Saskatoon. Come back again please. And, HUGE thanks to Louie's for bringing so much good music to town over the years.
