This event was awesome. My son loves the Monster Trucks. It would be better if there was a bigger venue for this activity.

  • Monster Jam...Gotta love it!

by Cryogirl on 2012-02-13Rexall Place - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

The show was great. Loved the TNT guy and the Canon Lady! Great additions to an already awesome show. The only downside to Monster Jam is the price of kids stuff...way too expensive!

  • not very much action

    by cappy1983 on 2012-02-13Rexall Place - EdmontonRating: 2 out of 5

The show was overall quite boring. There wasnt enough action to keep people entertained and you can see all over getting distracted and restless. At one point my 3 year old son asked if we could go home. The show works like this. They start with quad wars which is a lame quad race that is clearly rigged. Then they have a monster truck wheely contest. Then more quad wars .then the monster truck races. Can you even call it a race when all they do is jump over one pile of cars? 3 second race then five minutes of talking. Then some climbed into a box that exploded. Now its time for intermission. After intermission we came back to a lady who got shot out of a cannon. This was honestly the best part of the whole show. Then more quad wars. Finally monster truck freestyle. It was ok but not nearly enough obstacles for them. I know the venue is small for this but they have a big open space that they could fill with obstacles or throw in a turn in the racing part. Overall the action was stretched out with talking and quad wars which seemed to be that main part of the show. Not enough action to keep kids and even adults interested.

  • mega monster jam

by cufan on 2012-02-13Rexall Place - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

For my first monster jam i was expecting more action than what was delivered. I had high hopes that the performance would have been closer to what was advertised on the commercials, that being said, it was entertaining. I don't think that there was a bad seat in the house, as you could see everything that was going on. My 7 year old son and 10 year old nephew had a wonderful time.

  • Worth Every Penny

by maxzak on 2012-02-13Rexall Place - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

We took our 3 year old son and our 18month old son and it was all we coiuld have hoped for. Our 3 year old didnt blink for 2 hours. Our 18month old was a little scared but did ok with the noise. Of course you need ear plugs or ear phones for your little ones. We even used ear plugs for this event.

Anything that can hold my kids attention for that period of time is well worth the money! Great show and very entertaining!

  • by Anonymous on 2012-02-12Rexall Place - EdmontonRating: 1 out of 5

the show was not worth the money I paid for our family to go there... Way over price for the show quality and length of the event

  • A great night out with the family!

by Anonymous on 2012-02-12Rexall Place - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

The are only 3 complaints; 1.would be the fact that there were only 5 trucks (one of these broke an axle before the show started), but was able to finish the show. 2. the show only lasted just under 2 hours, incl. intermission (good for small kids, but I wanted more for the bucks). 3. Arena gets you close to the action, but is a small area for the freestyle

  • Monster Jam was Loud and just plain awesome!

by Joshuakayne on 2012-02-12Rexall Place - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

I thought that the Monster Jam that occurred on Friday February 10th was very entertaining. Loud engines, dirt flying! However I wish it was longer and they did more tricks. But it was a very great show, it needed some more action and entertainment such as presentation with fancy lights instead of just music. And they needed to involve the crowd more. But I absolutely loved it! And so did my girlfriend! Happy 30th Grave Digger!

  • First Time attending

by Anonymous on 2012-02-12Rexall Place - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5

It was nice but very loud, I would advise others to take ear plugs. The show itself was good but I wish the track was twice or three as big with more obstacles etc. to really show what those trucks can do. We had two trucks break down which diminished the competition.

  • Blasted good time

by Sassychx on 2012-02-12Rexall Place - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

The only bad thing was the quads as really they were not that exciting to watch and the track was too small. The rest of the show was good, with the monster trucks ruling the show, best of which was Northern Nightmare.

  • Monster Jam was good

by deanster on 2012-02-12Rexall Place - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5

Northlands (Rexall) should have removed all the lower seats from the arena and not just the ends. It was pretty tight for the trucks to move around. I was expecting races but because these seats were not removed, they could not race. I think the show in the fall at Capitol raceway is much better.

  • Awesome!!!!!!! Fantastic!!!!! Great!!!!

Grave Digger was my grandson's favorite. This was his first time. He is 4 years old and I think that this may have to be an event that we go to everytime it's in town. Thanks for the great show!!!!!!

Awesome show! My family and I took a lot of pictures at the pit party. We liked how every minute was fill of something - motorcycles, buggies, cars, the trucks. The organization was perfect. Definitely, we are going again next time!
