About

My Chemical Romance are a rock band composed of lead vocalist Gerard Way, bassist Mikey Way and guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero. Formed in 2001 in New Jersey, MCR have become highly influential for their blend of rock, pop-punk and emo music along with unflinchingly open lyrics and theatrical live performances. Beginning with 2002’s I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, MCR have released four studio albums, two live recordings and three compilations. The band unveiled their major label debut, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, in 2004 behind their first charting singles, “I'm Not Okay (I Promise),” “Helena” and “The Ghost of You.” In 2006, MCR’s third album The Black Parade reached a career-high No. 2 on the Billboard 200, while lead single “Welcome to the Black Parade” peaked at No. 9 on the Hot 100. After touring 2010’s Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, MCR did not perform together again until 2019, followed by a reunion world tour between 2022 and 2023. The band headlined Las Vegas’ When We Were Young Festival in 2024. In 2025, My Chemical Romance embarked on a tour in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their landmark third studio album, The Black Parade.

This was a fantastic show and the whole evening moved smoothly. Entrance and direction to our seats was easy and quick. The show was absolutely amazing! Exiting the Rogers Centre was a little hectic but to be expected with thousands of people all exiting at once. Overall, great experience.

  • Best band in the world

This was my 15th time seeing My Chemical Romance live, I’ve been to their gigs since the 2005 Revenge Tour, and they just keep getting better and better (and weirder and weirder). It was very emotional to see them play a stadium. It is so well deserved. The band of my life, I graciously thank you and can’t wait till next time.

Amazing show! Great sound and organization! The only thing I was missing is medical emergency support as I passed out during the show and no one came up to help except my boyfriend even though there was a lot of security!

  • Long Live

by Lauren on 2025-08-25Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Incredible, as they have always been. My Chemical Romance has never stopped being a band that cares about their music and their artistry. The lore built around the most recent Black Parade tour is meant for the newly initiated, and the many-years-long dedicated. Gerard Way is an amazing singer and frontman, he is engaged with a captive audience. Ray Toro is a deeply underrated guitarist who deserves the highest praise, especially for the Venom solo. This is, of course, not to discredit the talent, passion, and genuine love for the band of both Mikey Way and Frank Iero. Great on stage actors and musicians, incarnating clowns, blind singers, or simply excellent cellists. A night to remember for many years to come.

  • the band is too good not to tour

by old rock guy on 2025-08-25Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I remember MCR when they were first out but only listened when they were on radio. Last year I got into black parade and then all their other albums. One of the best bands I've ever heard. Concert was amazing and their stage show was a ton of fun. I can say in 30+ years of concerts I can't name a band with more devoted fans who made the whole show a huge party and celebration of one of the best albums ever made.

  • The best concert ever

  • Best Concert Ever, Highly Recommend

by littlemsmusique on 2025-08-25Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

By far the best concert I've ever been to. Totally worth the hundreds of dollars spent, minus the ridiculous fees from Ticketmaster. Had a really good view from the nosebleeds.

  • Amazing

by Melissa on 2025-08-25Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Simply amazing. The band is engaged with the public and giving it their all. Gerard's vocals are still amazing. Had the time of my life! Been waiting for it since my teens, I'm almost 30 now and still so worth it.

  • Amazing!

by Missy on 2025-08-25Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Love MCR and the show was amazing!! Wish the sound of the band was lower than the vocals it was hard to understand what was being said or hear what being sung.

  • Dream concert

by Kairo on 2025-08-25Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was literally a dream come true to see this concert. I’ve loved mcr since I was a kid and getting to see them live is an experience I never thought I’d have. It was even better than I expected and they played all my favourite songs! My only complaint was with the venue itself, on the Roger’s centre website bag dimensions are posted as 16x16x8. When we got to the venue they wouldn’t let my partner in with the bag even though it was well below those dimensions and said that the actual dimensions permitted were 7x7x3. We had to beg security to help us out and they finally sent us to a hotel to check the bag. Otherwise it was an amazing experience!

by azducky on 2025-08-25Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Top 10 shows ever without a doubt. The Black Parade was like a theatrical event and the post BP performance was just as exciting. Would definitely recommend if you don’t have tickets to see them yet.
