NHL Heritage Classic Tickets

The game, the atmosphere were fantastic solid 10/10 the seats were excellent at upper bowl, presentation and concert were great too. The one thing that prevents a 5/5 comes to how horrendous the Commonwealth staff were. The majority of fans missed the warmups because no crowd control, leaving thousands clumped together without any ideas where to go, it nearly ruined an absolutely spectacular event, there were lines leaving the bathrooms too, it was absolutely ridiculous crowd management that nearly ruined an absolutely breathtaking event.

Venue was awful, the stadium needs upgrades to concessions and bathrooms. Spent 1/4 of the game in line ups and was not worth the cost of admission.

Worst Stadium Event I have attended. The game itself was good. The event on the other hand was poorly organized, staff on hand had zero control. You couldn’t give me free tickets to attend again.

The game was a great experience and glad that I went to see it live. There was next to no ushers or security guards around as we had 2 drunk guys that were very rude and looking for trouble. Line ups for everything took way to long as well.

The overall experience was good. The concourse and flow of people was BRUTAL. Merchandise stands clogged up the concourse from the second you walked through the gates. Took 30 min to get thru the concourse to our seats, 30 min to go to the washroom. There was ZERO flow in moving people. Missed half the game just being stuck in the concourse. I can’t imagine what they would do if there was ever a medical or safety emergency. Very disappointed.

It was a great time and the weather was fantastic.

Excellent event we can not afford to go to many event or games this was well worth the money , great game, atmosphere and an awesome concert by Nickle Back . The only down side was they need more washrooms , concessions (maybe food trucks ) and a lot more beer concessions maybe tents , what a event loved every min of it

I've been to NFL,MLB,NBA,NCAA Somehow these organizations draw on past experience and have it figured out!! Lets start with Traffic control, other city's have police controlling the lights to keep traffic moving. Moving the crowd and providing some barricades to keep the flow moving does not seem that hard to do! 45 Minutes in the lineup got us into the stadium. Once inside getting to our seats another 20 minutes. It was absolutely Brutal. Do not SAY A Renovation required!! WE were at the stadium at 4:15 All it would have taken was some ACTUAL PRE PLANNING. and CROWD MOVING CONTROL. Now Food and Beverage lineups was ridiculous I could buy a beer in 5 minutes, but missed 1/2 period for 2 coffee's. City of Edmonton, Stadium Management should be embarrassed.

Game was great! Crowds on concourse between periods were nuts, couldn't move! Needed more ushers and beer vendors.

Good event, enjoyed it too bad big screen crapped out and didn't show clock after first period. More stats updates woulda been nice. Overall good performances and sight lines good. Too bad fly over didn't fully line up with anthem and pregame. Washrooms and concessions during breaks huge issue. Transit only loading one door on buses bad. Need to incorporate $5 into ticket price and go green and go like elks games. Clear bag vs women's purse size allowance on bags bad practice in cold weather - stick to elks/Commonwealth policy as that is a bit better. Need line flow on building high traffic areas inc. for concessions and washrooms and two corners where people need better walking lines instead of 5 in one direction 2 in other and 1 a mix. Slows down and inefficient to move to covered areas.

It would have been nice to se them play out doors in my home town

The stadium surface was a great hockey design with the Oiler & Flame player. The game was great. The sound was good. The flyover of the 2 military jets, twice, was awesome! Some good giveaways. The second intermission band was a good show. But the line ups to get in & get any food & drink were unacceptable/horrendous! Should have opened the doors an hour earlier.

The seats I got were section Y row 4, sitting right close to the the action I knew we weren't going to have the best view but I did however think that their would be screens or at least more then their was! The one and only screen was at the other side of the coliseum and wasn't the best to see! We were sat behind all the action so we couldn't even see the stage and when nickleback was playing we couldn't see them at all, and on the screen it was just a big ticketmaster add instead of them showing the concert. The hockey game itself was too far to see on the screen and we were too close to see anything on the ice. I do not regret going to the game because the atmosphere was amazing! But I do think that they should have more screens to see the game next time or take away the frist 10 rows as they're usless and you can't see anything!

Entry was great. Lines were good to get in to stadium. Once in we were face with crazy lines everywhere . From getting to seats and no ushers . To trying to get food or beverage. The concourse was horrible you couldn't move around. I will have a hard time attending another one of these

I had a fantastic time even though the flames lost. Even though we were up in the clouds 4 rows from the top of Commonwealth. It was a great experience although the food and beverage was an issue. I don’t know if it’s a commonwealth Stadium issue being old and insufficient maybe but I don’t think the infrastructure was prepared for 50,000 people. The east concourse was so jam packed I managed to make it roughly 30-40 feet from our stairs in 10 plus minutes. I just wanted some food and a beer but being face to face, shoulder to shoulder for that long was less than ideal. I feel like maybe we needed more beer servers or food kiosks or something because it was not worth the effort to get a beer and food. Possibly more merch tents as well but other than that we had a great time!

I loved the experience and the atmosphere. It reminded me of what the Eskimo games used to be like. And too all the people that complained about line ups and the chaos what do you expect to happen with 55,000 people. The staff and security and the police did a great job.

Overall a fun evening. No issues from a ticketing point of view although some may have balked at the prices of some tickets the NHL set for the event. I got to the stadium just as the gates were opened because getting there between 4:00 PM- 5:00 PM would have been hectic. I've been to Super bowls and the security gates open as early as 4 Hours before game time. The gates only opened 2 Hours before game time. Now granted the stadiums for Super Bowls generally hold 70,000 people. Getting 55,000 people trying to clear security and get into the stadium with 4 main gates in half the time even with the smaller stadium capacity is a really short period of time. A 2:00 PM opening with more in-stadium pre game entertainment may have helped. Port-a- potties set up in the north end zone would have helped. When nature called even when you went during the extended intermission, people didn't make it back to their seats without missing significant playing time. Merchandise stands could have been set up in all 4 corners of the stadium. One was set up in the south end zone which is already a narrow concourse when there is 2 way traffic. The Home team won which made for a better atmosphere and Nickelback were a good choice to play the event. Positively received.

The Heritage Classic did not focus on the fan experience. There was limited visual of the ice surface and not enough technology to enhance the viewer experience. Other than expensive merchandise stands, there was nothing extra at the stadium for fans who were told to arrive early. The transportation following the event was challenging. I think that for what tickets cost, there should have been a better focus on fan experience. Next time I will watch from the comfort of my own home.

Perfect weather, a great crowd and a much needed win for the Oilers. Nickleback was awesome too! Only negatives were; access into the stadium took too long, stadium seats are terrible and lineups everywhere which I guess was to be expected. Oh , our LRT train broke down on the way there and we were stuck on it for an hour. Good thing we left with plenty of time but just made it in just before 5.

The even was good. Only down side was the crowd control as it took about and hour to get to my seats and to get to the washrooms or concession lines were a mess and not organized.
