About

Nickelback is one of the most commercially successful rock bands in history. Since the release of their breakthrough third album — 2001’s Silver Side Up — the Canadian post-grunge rockers have sold over 50 million albums worldwide, with multiple Top 10 hits, four Grammy nominations, and 12 Juno Awards. Career-defining hits like “How You Remind Me,” “Photograph,” and “Rockstar” have made Nickelback a diamond-certified selling group, and the second best selling foreign act in the U.S. in the 2000s (behind only The Beatles). “How You Remind Me,” a No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, was named the most-played song on U.S. radio (in any format) in the 2000s by Nielsen Soundscan. Since forming in 1995 in the town of Hanna in Alberta, Canada, the high-octane rockers have been on 12 consecutive sold-out world tours, playing to over 10 million fans worldwide.

    Nickelback didn't play!

by qnofrock on 2009-08-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

I received my ticket on fathers day and hid it from my daughter till we got to the doors, she was so excited. We watched all the bands which all ROCKED. Then started a lightening storm, they cleared out the lawn seats, the rest of us had to wait to see if the storm would pass. About an hour and a half later they cancelled the Nickelback show. Dissappointing as it was, i understand totally. I know when they come back to replace this show they are going to put on one heck of a show. Thats just how Nickelback is. Their still my favorite band EVER!!!!

    Torrential Rains

    by My1obsession on 2009-08-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

The bands that played were awesome. Saving Abel, they were great opening to the show, then Papa Roach, they totally rocked, love that Jacoby comes out in to the crowd. Hinder was amazing, never seen them live before, they are awesome, my kids were impressed and they appreciate that they put on a good show. Then came the rain and NIckelback could not play, that was pretty sad. It was my birthday too, but I can't wait for the rescheduling date, I can celebrate my birthday all over again.

    watch the weather

by CBWatcher on 2009-08-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

The opening acts were great but the organisers pulled the pin way too early on the concert because of the weather. The line of thunderstorms can easily be tracked on any weather website. It was obvious even from my Iphone that the weather was going to be passed Toronto by 22:15 or 22:30. They cancelled the show at 22:00. Very disappointing when so many people have travelled from so far and spent so much money to have someone cancel the show with so little knowledge of what is happening.

    They didn't even play!

by sadfan on 2009-08-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

Even though the tickets say "rain or shine" they didn't play. 3 opening acts played but by the time they were to come out, which was late anyways, the rain and lightening had started. $20 to park, $40 for food and we live an hour and 1/2 away...all to see three bands that I really didn't want to see. They promised to reschedule but I don't want to go.

    Nickleback - Rained Out

by ROCKINOVERFIFTY on 2009-08-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

It was a great concert, Saving Abel, Papa Roach and Hinder, until the lightning storm rolled in, so Nickleback couldn't come on. Better safe than sorry. Now we're waiting for a reschedule date. Seen them in March at the ACC and this time around we brought our teen sons. Not a big inconvenience for us, but I feel bad for the people who came a long way. Never miss a chance to see Nickleback.

Torential down poor made it quite the memory!!!

by nofear on 2009-08-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

Wish I could give it a better rating, but we never got to see Nickelback as they postponed the concert due to a severe thunder and lightening storm. Nickelback should be proud though, they have adoring fans that stood in that torential rain storm for over an hour waiting, just waiting to have them come out on stage before we found out the concert was postponed. We were absolutely soaked, which made for a more memorable experience.:) I must say that we were able to see Papa Roach and Hinder before the storm came in and they did an awesome job. All in all it would have been great to see Nickelback last night, but they have promised we will see them soon and for us to hang onto our tickets. So for now we wait to find out when.

    Nickelback rained out

by Jackaboo on 2009-08-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

I would like to say that this concert was great, however mother nature had another idea. At 8:30 the voice of Chad Kreoger was heard telling the audience, that for their safety they needed to evacuate the park as there were severe weather warnings in effect. At that time the skies openned and the rain came. From what I understand it is their intent to reschedule.

by catmike on 2009-08-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

what a wicked storm causing the rest of the show to be cancelled, however Saving Abel, Papa Roach, and Hinder did not disapoint. the rest of the show was light show in the sky. Still would have liked to see Nickelback for the third time!

    Ruined by T-storm!

    by LP123 on 2009-08-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

we were so disappointed by having our concert ruined by severe thunderstorms, that rolled in just as Nickelback was about to begin. As we had lawn seating (1st concert ever for my boyfriend and his 2 kids), we had to leave and run during the severe weather back to our vehicle, through torrential rain and lightning. Since we had to run through 6 inches of rain in some places, we were so soaked, that we could not stay to return if the storm let up. 8 of us travelled from 2 hours out of town, and were extremely disappointed at the loss of our concert, and the time, money, and planning that had gone into the trip. The other bands were OK, but we really came to see NICKELBACK! We are hoping there may be some compensation. We were totally prepared for rain, but no T-storms!

Papa Roach and the lightning was awsome!

    by Daddy2008 on 2009-08-10Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto

Concert was packed, Saving Abel was a good opening act. Papa Roach almost stole the show, but then the rain and lightning showed up just before Nickelback took the stage and then we waited....and waited...and waited. The show ended up being postponed. So I don't actually know how Nickelback was but the rest of the concert was great!
