About

Nicki Minaj is a multi-platinum-selling rapper from the island of Trinidad. After being discovered by Lil Wayne in the late 2000s, Minaj signed with Young Money Entertainment and quickly began breaking records — becoming the first female artist to top Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart in nearly a decade thanks to her 2010 single “Your Love,” which was featured on her Grammy-nominated debut studio album Pink Friday. That album took the music industry by storm, delivering the Diamond-certified smash “Super Bass” and introducing fans to the rapper’s penchant for alter egos among her blistering lyricism and rapid-fire flow. Considered one of the greatest female rappers of all time, some of Minaj’s biggest singles include “Starships,” the Grammy-nominated “Anaconda” and “Chun-Li.” She scored her first solo No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2022 with “Super Freaky Girl” — the lead single off her fifth studio album, 2023’s Pink Friday 2.

Good but 3 hours late is not cool

by Kits on 2024-05-03Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Huge Nicki fan myself but no matter how big a fan, I'm not down with waiting for her to come out 3 hours after the show was to start. No preshow stuff to keep the crowd awake and engaged except one dj for 20 minutes. It was also a work night and the rest of non rich people had work in the morning, and last call times for trains to get home. The Scotiabank arena also should be held accountable where there is some protocol that prevents artists from doing this. Get them out there no more than 1.5 hours after show time in my opinion. I had to leave before the show ended and probably missed some of my favourite songs because I couldn't miss the last GO bus out of the city back to the East end. The venue and the artists need to do better

    LITT

by Tay on 2024-05-03Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

I had the best time ever, I had so much fun I was always singing on the top of my lungs and screaming. Also it was easy to find my way to my seat. The lights and everything was fantastic it made the concert 10x better. Overall a 100/10 experience!

AMAZING CONCERT - 3 HOURS LATE

by Sofia on 2024-05-03Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

She was super late, was supposed to start at 8:30 but didn't come on until 11:30, on a Tuesday too. People were getting upset and tired. But, once she came on the whole vibe changed. It was a great set and she did an amazing performance with costume changes and everything!

    Love love lovee

by Jinta on 2024-05-03Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

I loved the Nicki concert soooo much. I mean minus the fact that she was a little late and the DJ hyped up the crowd and then left us to fend for ourselves, this was a 11/10 experience and don’t regret going one bit! Amazing guest performances on this second show! Also the staff at the Scotiabank Arena were extremely helpful and shout out to RBC Express entry <3

    Best Tour Ever

    Great performance, poor time management

by Ads on 2024-05-03Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

The performance was great, lots of amazing sets, two amazing special guests, and a great performance from Nicki. However, being 2.5 hours late pushed the show to end far too late. The DJ got everyone excited and then we had nothing for about an hour whilst waiting. Outfit changes in between songs took far too long especially since the show was already late. Would have liked to see our city native (Drake) perform more songs but he also seemed to want to leave. Considering the last train stops before 2am and many people rely on our subway system to attend these concerts, ending at 130am was far too risky for many people to not be able to make it home. Additionally, it was a Tuesday night. People had work the next day. Overall a good show but an unacceptable wait time.

    Love!!

by Dee on 2024-05-03Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

After watching Nicki live I am a bigger fan! Waiting for her to hit the stage after 11 wasn’t great, but she puts on a great show and I would definitely see her again!

    A MUST SEE ARTIST

by Dennis on 2024-05-03Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Nicki Minaj proved why she is one of the greatests of all time. A concert filled with the rapper’s greatest hits (of which there are plenty) as well as amazing songs from her latest ‘Pink Friday 2’ album. The entire production, from set to lighting to visuals, added to making this an incredible performance. However, it was Nicki herself who was the star of the show. Her and her mic is all that is needed to keep us entertained. She oozes star power and her stage presence is on a whole other level. She is an artist that everyone needs to see at least once in their lifetime.

Way too long to come out...

    by Dd21 on 2024-05-03Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Traveled from Oshawa and came a little later at 8 pm, but also nobody came out til 930, not even the opener, and then Nicki Minaj we were waiting on until 11:20. The sets were amazing but the waiting was a lot especially cause I had work in the morning. Didn't get home til 2:30 in the morning. Beautiful sets, enjoyed the music, but was hard to hear at times in the level 300's. Disappointed.

    Annoyed

by Dd on 2024-05-03Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

The event started too late. Was 3 hours late. I was also annoyed with the smell of weed around us. I had children with me.

Good when she was actually on stage

by Noah O on 2024-05-03Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Went to Toronto Night 2 and she didn’t start until 11:15ish. All the fans were just waiting around for hours with no explanation from her or her team. When she finally did get on stage, it was great from the production, her stage presence and her rapping. But the interludes/wardrobe changes took way too long in between acts, especially when Monica finished her set. That wait was like 20 mins of nothing, no visuals just some random elevator type music on repeat. The show ended around 1:15ish but my friend and I had to leave early to catch our bus. This would have been a 4-5 star concert had the waits been shorter. The waits are what really destroyed the momentum and energy for me personally.

    Lunchbag Letdown

by Jennifer on 2024-05-03Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

So disappointed with this show. We were so excited, as we've seen her before, but we're so let down. Not only was she almost 3 hours late, there was sooo much down time for costume changes. They were so long that people were falling asleep. She also didn't sing a whole lot. We paid good money for tickets to watch her perform, not to make faces and half ass dance to her tracks. There was no acknowledgement for being late either. Cool that she brought Drake out, but overall the show was awful.

    Great Concert!

by Dizzle on 2024-05-03Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

This concert was amazing! I had to deduct one star due to the too many wardrobe changes without anything happening in between. We were kind of just sitting there waiting. She also came out three hours late, but she made up for it with a great performance and she also brought out Drake which was a bonus!

    Great Performance poor planning

by SF on 2024-05-03Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Spent more time waiting then the concert itself

by Barbinwaiting on 2024-05-03Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

The show was supposed to start at 8:30 and Nicki didn’t go on till after 11pm. Between all the breaks for outfit changes and INCLUDING the opener, the show was barely 2 hours. I heard she was late from other shows so I drove in otherwise if I had taken the train I would’ve been stranded in Toronto for the night. As a performer who has people paying to come see you, it’s disrespectful to us and our time to be so late and not even acknowledge it. This was a Tuesday night many of us had work the next day and were coming from out of the city.

by Mary on 2024-05-03Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Artists: if ur late forget the costume changes or something because we don’t care we just want to see u perform. We shouldn’t have to wait for that too.

    Queen in the 416

by Tea on 2024-05-03Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Great Concert!! && Performance!! Only upset was how late she came on over 2 hours late, venue had stopped selling liquor by the time she made it on set. Her being so late, cause extreme travel issues for thousands of people as the concert ended close to 1:30am, and Go trains were no longer in service. Creating Uber surge rates, and chaos to get out of the city.
