Pantera is a heavy metal band formed in Arlington, Texas in 1981 by brothers Vinnie Paul and Dimebag Darrell, and is currently composed of vocalist Phil Anselmo, bassist Rex Brown, and touring musicians Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante. After a number of buzzy releases throughout the 1980s, the band dropped their breakout album, Cowboys From Hell, in 1990, which established Pantera as leaders in the groove metal genre. The first group to land an extreme metal album at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with their 1994 album Far Beyond Driven, Pantera were hailed as torchbearers of the genre, paving the way for a long and successful reign that included two subsequent albums and four Grammy nominations. The pioneering band has sold over 20 million albums over the course of their career and are credited as a musical inspiration by many acts in the metal space. Pantera entered a hiatus in 2001, and shortly thereafter, founding member Dimebag Darrell was killed onstage in 2004. A new era began when surviving members Phil Anselmo and Rex Brown returned to the road in 2023 for their first tour as Pantera in over 20 years. Now, the band is set to embark on a 2025 outing, titled Pantera’s The Heaviest Tour of the Summer.

I never thought in a million years that i would have the opportunity to see Pantera live and oh boy did they kick ass. The Best Concert I have ever been to so far. The crowd was energetic and it was sold out. Phil's voice was really top notch and the zakk, charlie and rex kicked ass as usual cowboys from hell style. Also Phil performed two encores, which is incredible. The opening bands child bite and lamb of god were good as well. Overall, THE BEST CONCERT PERIOD.
First of all, I'd forgotten how much I'd enjoyed Lamb of God. That was an awesome set. The closest thing to a Pantera concert that I'd been to before this was the last time Damgeplan performed in Toronto, so this was a magical experience. This line-up of "Pantera"was actually quite impressive, and Zakk Wylde was an more than a suitable stand-in for Dime. Phil didn't go off on any racist tangents, which was a relief. Phil was actually in good form for this one. The sound quality was meh, which is par for the course at Budweiser Stage. It was nice to see so much pyro being used, though.
Security does not enforce smoking bylaws, I had an asthma attack in thr 201 section. Sound engineer should be fired, could not hear the vocals for either band.
Lamb of God and Pantera had a great show and the venue was top notch. We'll definitely be going back!!
Lamb of God was amazing and Pantera was epic. Only Zakk Wylde could pull off replacing his brother from another mother Dimebag Darryl. It was amazing to see Pantera songs again after 20+ years!
Pantera were magnificent! I have waited 29 years to hear these songs played live again and they did not dissapoint. 2 hrs at least on stage at their age with 3 encore songs finishing with Yesterday Don"t Mean Shit and even after that classic Phil clearly did not want to leave the stage! LoG were no slouches either as always and they were the perfect band to warm the crowd up before the Cowboys From Hell took the stage. One of the best concerts of my life!
I miss the first band. Lamb of God not bad but I can't hear the guitars. Pantera best live ever, perfect production, amazing atmosphere, I put this concert in my personal top3, and I'm attending metal concerts since the 90s
Amazing performance; amazing crowd. So much love between the band and audience. Pantera still puts on a great show! No regrets.
Never get seats in section 402 ..the pillar will cover the middle of the stage
Was a couple of great shows at a great venue! Pantera rocks!!!! I quite enjoy Budweiser stage. The shows I see there are always great.
Ive had lawn tickets many times before and I had lawns for this show. Although I wasn't expecting much of a view from there, the entire show was obstructed because people at the front of the lawns were allowed to sit on the railings during Pantera's set. Typically this isn't allowed, so i dont know why security dissappeared. As a result, everyone behind the front of the lawns had an obstructed view. Disappointing.
Loved the show. They sounded great. Only thing I was a little sad about was they didn’t perform cemetery gates. I loved how they used it to remember Vinny and dime but I truly love that sound and it would have made my day to hear it live
The shows were fkn AWESOME. 1st band CHILDBITE Sounded great, LAMB OF GOD -Sounded fantastic and PANTERA was fkn AWESOME. Haven't changed, sound just like back then. Really enjoyed the show!
Pantera was incredible! The tribute played to their fallen brothers was done with respect and dignity. There was no egos on that stage just straight up talent and raw passion and emotion. The wide range of ages was testament to their fans love and the staying power of the music.
Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rip Dime and Vinnie.
I didn't know what to expect and let me tell you I was blown away. Definitely buying tickets when they come back. It was incredible to finally hear Walk live and the extended outro jam was something else. They didn't play Cemetery Gates and I think that has to do with Phil's vocal range now ? That's the only reason I can fathom as to why they don't play that song. Otherwise his voice sounded great. Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante held it down. Shoutout to Rex Brown for killing it all night. Legacy Intact.
Great show. It would be nice to have porta potties in the parking lot.
The Pantera concert was Amazing!! They put on an incredible tribute to the Abbott brothers!
One of the best shows I've every been too. I got into Pantera way after Dimebag had left us and I remember getting the news about Vinnie on my way to a golf tournament. At that point I thought for sure I'll never hear Pantera live or even a tribute. Here I am many years later still in shock and awe that I got to witness one of my all time favourite bands.
