Helping bring commercial metal to the masses since the early '80s, Poison remain at the top of their game well into the current decade. Their Glam-a-Geddon tour in 2011 commemorating their 25th anniversary was a huge success, reflecting the band's now legendary status as a forerunner of American pop-metal. The same can be said for their 2012 tour with fellow rockers Def Leppard. Poison's live shows often combine raucous fun with serious musical entertainment. Ticket buyers were in for a night of loud, high-energy concert rock, not to mention the onstage antics of the notorious C.C. Deville, whose amazing guitar solos are known to exceed nine minutes. Poison's 2011 Double Dose: Ultimate HIts compilation album preceded their summer tour and features all their hit singles that topped music charts.
It began in 1984, with frontman Bret Michaels, bassist Bobby Dall and drummer Rikki Rockett. Deville joined the band shortly thereafter, and the spirit of Poison was born. The glam fashion and metal attitude were a surprisingly effective mix. The 1986 hit Look What the Cat Dragged sold over two million copies, peaking at No. 3 on the Billboard Top 200. With the release of 1988's Open Up and Say... Ahhh!, the super-smash anthem "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" cemented Poison firmly in their place in musical history. Their 2002 album Hollyweird reunited the band's original lineup after years following a falling-out among members. The reunion seems to have reinvigorated Poison, as it holds true to everything the band ever was and everything it ever will be in the public's eye. Songs like "Wishful Thinkin'" and the title track are hard-driving, good-old-fashioned rock and roll with a pop-metal edge. Fans could not ask for anything more, and a whole new generation of fans got a good glimpse of what the legendary Poison was all about.

Great concert ..had lots of fun...drinks were too expensive
Good show, Brett Micheal is a great front man, band was solid and crowd was engaged. Had a very good time.
Great show! Cheap Trick sounded amazing and really got the crowd ready for the night's headliner. Poison was filled with high energy. Bret Michaels always delivers the goods night after night and year after year... My only concern (which is like most bands just doing summer tours for the past 20 years) is they ONLY play the hits and the show is very short. 3 Solos take up the time that could be used for some other songs that us the true fans want to hear and haven't heard in years. That would be my only Negative! Poison is always great! a def must see summer tour
Seen them 22 years ago and they are as good today as they were then
What a great show! Engaging, high energy, light show was fantastic!
the sound mixers must have been asleep the overall sound was terrible especialy when we where only in section 2 all the people around us felt the same. Cheap trick you could hardly make out what songs they where playing.
Absolutely awesome playing all their classics, the energy and showmanship was as good as it was back in 1986!!! A “ must-see” for any 80s Rocker!!!
Great show, would recommend to family or friends!!
We loved the flashback to our younger years. Throat is sore from singing along with both Cheap Trick and Poison.
Poison put on an amazing show as usual!! Seen them every time they tour and they never ever disappoint me. Cheers
While Poison doesn't have the largest library of music, what they have, and what they do with it is nothing but fun when seen live. Very high energy, the crowd was on their feet for nearly the whole set.
Had an awesome day with my bestie! Love the Venue! It was a Blast from the past! Poison was awesome!
Poison was so much fun! I knew every single song they played and there was no downtime. Standing and dancing from the start!
We went to see Cheap trick - had seen them 9 years prior in Vegas - and they still rocked it! Loved every minute of their show, esp Tom's song. Caught a couple of Rick's guitar picks he threw out into the crowd, awesome souvenir. Robin's voice is still amazing after all these years. Loved them so much. Poison was entertaining, Brent talked a lot - likes to hear his own voice. CC's 10 minute guitar solo was too long, he was losing the crowd. Same with drum solo. Those solo things are passe - unless you are Neil Peart or Chad Smith. Sound for Poison was echoing so it sounded muffled down by the stage.
Awesome...poison always puts on a great show. Can't wait till next one.
Great show! Cheap Trick left the crowd wanting for more, and Poison ended the night leaving everyone singing and dancing.
Still one of the best live bands that I have ever seen
First off, I grew up a huge Poison fan. They are one of my favourite bands. So when I heard this tour was coming to Grand Forks, I had to go. The show was amazing, and the band sounded great. They played all their big hits. But...they didn't play anything past 1990. They only played off of their first 3 albums. The show was only 11 songs. When your a band that's 30+ years old, you gotta give the people at least 18 songs.
I was happy to be there but would not ever see them again. Not worth the price value. Poison played approx 45 min only.
Such a great show! I would never and could never get tired of watching them... their music lives on 30 years strong already
