    Awesome Canadian Open

by Par3 on 2023-06-14Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

Great day from entrance to exit. Easy to get around venue as we could print the venue map ahead of our visit and knew the layout. Prices at food, drink and merchandise a bit pricey but to be expected. Shuttle to and from parking was fast and comfortable in coaches. Koodos to the volunteers and Big round of applause for all the golfers who played.

    Best Can Open ever

by The bear on 2023-06-14Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

We had awesome seats at the 18th greenside. We watched all the players come in. The playoffs were heart wrenching but the final 72' putt was absolutely amazing. Yeah Canada.

    1904 Club- over sold/cold food

by ErinT on 2023-06-14Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

We enjoyed our time at the Open, but found it really difficult to find seating in the 1904 club, even before peak times. We also paid a hefty price tag for a cold hamburger (not even lukewarm). Otherwise, we found the volunteers very friendly and helpful, and found the shuttle service efficient and easy to use.

    The 72ft miracle

by Rico on 2023-06-14Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

Overall the golf was amazing on Sunday, was a little disappointed in some of the food venues being limited on food, the lack of hygiene and water available at some of the outdoor washroom facilities. The set up of the drink venues was well done. It was all more than worth it and would do it again, witnessing that miraculous 72ft putt to win the playoff will go down in Canadian Open history forever!

    BUCKET LIST

by Dan on 2023-06-14Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

It was a very impressive experience. I can now say, "Been there, Done that". Watching the best at a sport I play (not well) was cool. The course itself was beautiful. Lots of things for kids and adults to do. With reference to Oakdale, I understand not only myself but the PGA players themselves were not overly happy with the location of the driving range. We had hoped to see the players maybe even get autographs. It was on the far side of the course. Expensive....oh my God, concession stands not cheap. I also paid for parking but good luck finding it. I ended up parking on a side street and walking to the course. Having said all this, it was exciting. The Adam Hadwin tackle was different. What a finish Nick Taylor, Canadian lad and first since 1954.

    Incredible day

by D on 2023-06-14Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

Great day. Nice golf course. Easy to get around. Incredible show. Decisions for placing the garbage collection area right at the entrance was odd. The Angels food and beer distributors regularly added tip without buyers knowledge and offered to for them to tap. Minutes after purchasing I realize I had been charged a 25% tip on two beers. This happened on multiple occasions and I heard others complain about it as well.

    Exceptional

by J_Marks on 2023-06-14Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

Most amazing experience I’ve had in a long time. To be green side watching N. Taylor drain a 72ft Eagle Putt to win the tournament was absolutely electric

    Fantastic!

by tGuthrie on 2023-06-14Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

Overall the entire event was fantastic! Lots of friendly support staff, several easily accessible washrooms, manageable concession lines and everything was well organized. Shuttles were easy to locate. Entry into the event was a breeze. The only two negatives were the concession stand selling out of multiple items by 12:30pm and it was hard to locate water refill stations.

    More public viewing areas

by Ron on 2023-06-14Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

We were at hole 18 and the way the hole was sloped you couldn’t see what was happening on the green from where the standing room was sectioned off. A tv with the live viewing would have been nice for the public that couldn't see.

    Deserves the Longest Drive!

by TeeOnTop on 2023-06-14Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed attending the Canadian Open this past week. While it was our first based on the positive experience won't be our last. We appreciated the availability of "any day" tickets to match our moving calendar availability. The parking, food, availability to sit on any hole watching tee-off or putting on the greens was unbelievable. Looking forward to buying tickets for 2024!

    Canadian Open

by Melissa on 2023-06-14Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

Overall it was a pretty good experience, other than the parking situation. In all the years I have attended it has never been sold out. People come from everywhere. There should have been way more spots available.

    Great event

by Maxie on 2023-06-14Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

All good except that there were not enough food stalls. Long lineups and then only to find they had run out of just about everything! Very frustrating! Golf event was great!

    Excellent

by CarinA on 2023-06-14Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

Absolutely amazing experience. Everything ran smoothly. Will definitely buy tickets again. We had ground access and were able to visit every hole. Improvements/suggestions: Mobile ordering although advertised to speed the process did not work properly for food and drink orders at the stands amd caused confusion. Drinks and food ran out at most stands by the afternoon.

    Amateur hour

by Brandon on 2023-06-14Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

Overall an averge experience compared to last year. Parking - signs not clear. Volunteers didnt check prepaid ticket. Sitting around with no supervision or direction. For drivers . Concessions. Food ran out around 4 pm at stand near the rink. Eating area next to this stand was disgusting. Garbage everywhere. No clean up. Prices? Ridiculous No water to wash hands at washrooms. Transportation to parking area was good. Concert was great.

    Perfect organizing

by El on 2023-06-13Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

Everything was organized so well. No long line ups, no running out of food at the 1904 club. Plenty of shuttles to and from the venue. Very impressed with The Landing. They kept the club very clean.

    Parking and course planning

by Da1 on 2023-06-13Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

The tournament was good, but the parking was not adequate, and we had to park away from the course and walk quite a distance. The layout of the course did not allow enough access and exit from the street. Had to walk a long way to get out of the course. Not nice like Glenn Abby Considered Glen Abbey next time.

Great experience at the Trophy club

by Gracie on 2023-06-13Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

We had a great time at the event. There could be ways for improvement like the volunteers had no clue where the “trophy club” is located. It would be great to have more signs at the location

    A Golf Wow!

by Average Lisa on 2023-06-13Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

As golfers, my husband & I loved the course, the hospitality of the volunteers and the friendliness of the spectators. Toronto is an amazing city & was the perfect host for this event!

Great golf, some changes would be nice

by Michael on 2023-06-13Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

Golf and atmosphere were both great. This event could benefit from a couple of things in the future. 1) Increase golf knowledge for volunteers. Telling people to be quiet around the green when the golfer is 120 yards out in the fairway is not necessary. Similarly when the golfer is 'around the green' but doesn't even have a club pulled. 2) Volunteers/Security being more cognizant of being in the way. Around the greens, these folks will stand right in your line of sight with their hands in the air making them as big as possible in an attempt to get spectators to be quiet. At every other event they are much more cognizant of appearing 'out of the way' while doing their job. Furthermore, when the higher profile groups come through, there are even more of these folks following them around. Imagine waiting all day to get a good view of Rory putting just to have some large individual come stand right in front of you. Does not make for a good experience and having attended many golf events other than this one, there are other/better ways to go about this.
