    Bring back the booklets

by Alex on 2023-06-13Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

Bring back the booklets.. making us use the golf Canada app for tee times and map was awful. I felt like I spent more time staring at my phone, trying to figure things out than watching.

    It’s different

by EP85 on 2023-06-13Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

Watching golf live is different. It’s much harder to follow than on TV. Live golf is not a great spectator sport. I love golf and watch a lot of it but not a fan of it in a live setting - I’d rather experience other sports as a spectator instead - hockey, baseball, basketball, football. The concert was well worth it. Golf I can now cross off my bucket list.

Amazing event but the price gouging was too much!

by NBester on 2023-06-13Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

The event was very good for the most part. The prices everywhere were atrocious ($6 for bottled water, $5 for small bag of chips, $90 for two burgers with two small bags of chips and two pre-mixed drinks, etc.). Just awful. We gave up waiting for Alanis to come out to sing. Way too long of a wait sitting on the ground after a very long day. Overall, it was pretty clean everywhere. The security and access to VIP areas went out the door during the playoff rounds. People were standing on tables, chairs and railings everywhere in the 1904 Area. A lot of people were in there without wristbands. It got to a point that it was not safe to be in our seats anymore., The outcome was amazing though!! Nick Taylor!!

    Alanis was Amazing as always!

by K Arthurs on 2023-06-13Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

my friend and I arrive expecting to park On site as per my friend paying $25. for on site parking when she purchased ticket for Alanis concert following the golf tournament Saturday evening. We arrived to be told All parking is at Downsview Park (7 km away). Got a shuttle to venue. Returning was worse. Shuttle driver told us he was going to all parking lots yet dropped everyone off at one and we had to wander in the dark and ask strangers where lot 6 was...inside the golf course we found Very unorganized, no one knew anything about where people would be let in for Alanis concert. The Only water station to be found was at entrance, at the top of a big hill. Not impressed. Once we finally were allowed into concert section, we all find a fenced area which we are not allowed close up, but golf people and other Non Alanis fans were permitted and disrespectfully did their own chanting and selfies while Alanis was performing, extremely rude. It was obvious they were not there for Alanis, but to drink and party. The opening act (forget her name) was pretty good. Alanis and her bandmates were Fantastic!

Least fav Canadian Open experiance in recent memory

by Jess on 2023-06-13Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

Event parking was sold out and having to park locally was a nightmare. The course was in a not so great area and I didn't feel safe leaving my car. The event itself was quieter than it usually is - I don't know if it's the course lay out or where the vendors were set up in regards to the course but the environment wasn't there for me this year. I've been to the past 4 events and can say confidently this one was the worst one for atmosphere.

    Fantastic experience

by Mr Ice on 2023-06-13Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

The hospitality of Matt & Steve’s was exceptional, as well as the product. The atmosphere at the rink was so much fun. All of the volunteers were helpful and kind. One of my best days ever.

Awesome time! Food and drink way over priced

by Ryan McEachen on 2023-06-13Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

Would 100% go back next year, but they gouged you for food and drink was absolutely ridiculous… small hot dogs costing 10 bucks… tall boy beers 14 bucks… water 6-7 bucks… could not believe how over priced food and drinks were

Alanis was amazing but the crowd was not!

by MP on 2023-06-13Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

Alanis delivered an amazing show, as always! But part of the audience was composed by drunk people who were attending the Golf Tournament: they were rude, obnoxious and made the whole experience terrible for the fans. I will never attend a concert at a Golf tournament ever again.

    Amazing experience!

by Ted on 2023-06-13Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

Really enjoyed the fun atmosphere. 14th hole was the best!! Only complaint was the quality of the food on the course - it was a long walk back to the entrance to get better quality food. It would have been great to have some of the higher end restaurants sprinkled around the course. Also washrooms ran out of water for hand cleaning by 1 pm. Concert was also great! Biggest opportunity for improvement at Hamilton next year would be higher end food sprinkled around the course. See you next year!

    The concert was too quiet

    by D. K. on 2023-06-13Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

It was okay. The lines for beverages were too long and it wasn't loud enough - even when close to the stage.

    Great experience with suggestions.

by Jeremy James on 2023-06-13Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

I loved most everything about the RBC Canadian Open. I loved the course and how close we could get to the athletes. I'll be a returning patron for years to come, definitely including the 2024 Open in Hamilton. The one thing I would suggest is having better general way finding signs around.. especially exit signs. I know the course was kind of 18 made out parts of 27, but even with the App, and the official signs pointing you to holes general direction, no real course direction was available,

great tournament even without the finish.

by murf on 2023-06-13Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

parking was easy and quick returns back even for those that forget which lot the bus is going to. thought there were plenty of concession and washrooms around the course. everything was reasonably priced. RCA and Oakdale did a great job. would like to see a few mid hole seats for the old guys who like to see where the drives land and the shots in.

Wonderful outcome but customer experience not so great

by TrinityO on 2023-06-12Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

Context: I am 70 years old, avid golfer, really wanted to see the players. The tournament was great. The aspects of the customer experience that need work included: 1) $20 dollars for a cold hamburger and small bag of Miss Vickies is way too high...no excuse for serving a cold burger at that price. 2) Too many carts telling me I needed to move over for them. I think that the gorgeous old course is really not big enough for fans. The drivers of these carts need to find another way to be less intrusive. 3) The exit was poorly marked. Most of the volunteers did not have a clue how to get back to the exit. 4) Gold Canada/RBC should be more transparent about the parking situation before selling tickets. It would have been easier for me to take the TTC.

Great, price a bit steep if you dont go to concert

by Brett on 2023-06-12Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

There needs to be just a golf specific ticket thats cheaper for Fri-Sat if you dont want to go to the concert. After walking around the course for 10 hours I dont care about the concert. Other than that great, great to see so many canadians make the cut!🇨🇦

    Rbc Canadian open

by Bengie on 2023-06-12Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

Great event, but $51 for 2 cheeseburgers a beer and a coke is just plain silly. Especially when the cheeseburgers were cold and the buns dried out. Other than the food it was a good event.

    A great show

by Hickman on 2023-06-12Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

Our overall experience was excellent. A couple of things that could be better were the lack of good signage for public parking and isle markers. We ended up in the wrong lot on Friday morning with many others. Isle markers would make it easier to find your car especially at night. Also there was an inadequate supply of potable water at the hand wash stations.

    Great event

by Lynnette on 2023-06-12Oakdale Golf & Country Club - North York

Quite well organized - my only negative comment would be washroom facilities. Very dirty and not maintained.
