    Excellent golf

A wonderful venue, easy to get around, great viewing areas. On the downside; bus service to and from parking area was terrible. Food was somewhat pricey.

by Rawsie on 2019-06-10Hamilton Golf and Country Club - Hamilton

Until the rain it was an incredible day. Many thanks to all the pros that were friendly and relaxed. Highlight- My daughter telling Justin Thomas "You're really good at golf" answer "Thanks, I appreciate that" Will remember forever

    FGL @ RBC Open

by Amy on 2019-06-10Hamilton Golf and Country Club - Hamilton

Location and parking was great! The sound could have been louder, it was kind of quiet from the back. Drinks and food were expensive.

    Loved it

by Nicky1313 on 2019-06-10Hamilton Golf and Country Club - Hamilton

My husband and I are always watching and playing golf. Being at the Canadian open was a dream come true for both of us. This was our first time, but definitely not the last. The staff and volunteers were very friendly, nice and polite. We would recommend others to go there at least once.

    RBC Canadian Open 2019

by Mikey on 2019-06-10Hamilton Golf and Country Club - Hamilton

The experience to see all the golfers was great. However, the course was not designed for people to watch golfers up close. If you don’t have a spot at he rope, you won’t see anyone. And even when you do have a spot, it’s blocked by the caddie or security or other staff. They need to improve the setup to allow as many people to see golfers hit the ball as possible. The Friday concert sucked. It’s like I was playing a stereo in my backyard trying to hear it from my front yard. How do they have a concert and not know how to set the volume. Absolutely ridiculous.

    Amazing!

by DyDy on 2019-06-10Hamilton Golf and Country Club - Hamilton

Loved the venue, and the crowd was good overall. Maybe they should manage how many people pushed up to front, but not much you can do there. Parking/shuttle was good but we left an encore to beat the rush as we knew it would be harder to get out.

    Great golf but poorly arranged

by Golfer? on 2019-06-09Hamilton Golf and Country Club - Hamilton

Traffic jam with poor parking signage. Parked at Ancaster Fair grounds and were directed mistakenly to a boggy area and got stuck in mud. Pushed out with tractor resulting in damage to the rear bumper of the vehicle. On the grounds there were no water stations to prevent dehydration. Course map was confusing. Food and drinks overpriced. Coming back to the parking lot there was a 45 minute wait for a shuttle bus as most of the buses were required for school busing. In conclusion, they were not ready for 15000 people and the next 3 days were sold out the crowds would be larger, Golfers put on a great show.

    Great day but

by Greywolfcoad on 2019-06-09Hamilton Golf and Country Club - Hamilton

It was a wonderful day but it was totally spoiled by the long wait we had for the shuttle bus. Since you had to take the shuttle I would have thought they would have been prepared. Horrible transportation management. Golf was great and the venue was wonderful.

    Disappointing

by willie on 2019-06-09Hamilton Golf and Country Club - Hamilton

Lineups for shuttle were ridiculous. Hamilton has hosted before and 1/2 hour to an hour waits for shuttle were horrible. Paying almost $100 for one day is bad enough but Golf Canada obviously don't care much about fan experience

    Great Golf Course !!

by Bevy on 2019-06-09Hamilton Golf and Country Club - Hamilton

Golf course fantastic. In great condition. What a hilly, challenging property. For the 75th anniversary of D-Day, Thursday was named ‘Canadian Armed Forces Day’. There was a tribute opening ceremony at 6:30am at the War Memorial on the 10th tee plus a WWII Heritage Warplane flyover at 12:10pm. The flyover included 3 planes that actually served on D-Day !

    True Canadianna

by J. C. on 2019-06-09Hamilton Golf and Country Club - Hamilton

The event is most memorable because of the number of top Canadian and International golf stars! The organization was adequate but some details especially fan transportation was a distraction!

    Terrible Shuttle Service

by S. M. on 2019-06-09Hamilton Golf and Country Club - Hamilton

Shuttle service was old yellow school buses which was shocking and when leaving there was a 2 hr lineup waiting for the shuttle buses....very very unorganized event...I heard there were new owners in last year and they don't have the experience enough

    Canadian Open

by G. on 2019-06-09Hamilton Golf and Country Club - Hamilton

The golfers were gracious and very good to my 11 year old son. Logistics, wait time, parking etc simply awful. Poorly organized and disappointing. We left home from Vaughan Thursday 630am and were not on the grounds until 9.

    ScruffyMcDuffy

by ScruffyMcDuffy on 2019-06-09Hamilton Golf and Country Club - Hamilton

The Hamilton Golf and Country club was in excellent shape and the field of golfers were a good mix of top golfers along with 26 Canadians. The downside is that this particular course is not very viewer friendly.. Finding a level spot to sit by a green and be able to see the putting on the green was next to impossible..

    Long lineups

by Barb on 2019-06-09Hamilton Golf and Country Club - Hamilton

We had to wait 45 minutes to get into parking. 50 minutes for a shuttle from the course to the parking. Ran out of food. Washrooms too far away.7

    Excellent except for parking

by PGA Canadian Open on 2019-06-09Hamilton Golf and Country Club - Hamilton

Once we arrived at the HGCC everything was amazing. Quickly through security. The Hamilton Fare had the best food selection. The golf and plays were fantastic. Really the only thing that was terrible was the parking. It took us almost 45 minutes to drive 1.1 km to arrive into the parking at Ancaster Fairgrounds. Should have had a few entrances open to get the people in. Once we parked we were able to get on a bus to take us to the venue rather quickly. We had to leave for 4:30 and when we went to the road for pickup - the line was sooo long. We were there close to an hour and others ahead of us were there over the hour. It seemed that they had a shift of buses start at 5pm, because at 5:20 6 buses arrived at the same time. This needs to be addressed. We have never had this experience at Glen Abbey or any of the LPGA at Whistle Bear or Grey Silo.
