About

RUSH took rock music into uncharted territory and to unmatched heights fueled by the once-in-a-lifetime interplay of Geddy Lee (bass, keys, vocals), Alex Lifeson (guitar, vocals), and the late Neil Peart (drums, lyrics). Selling over 45 million albums worldwide, garnering seven Grammy Award nominations, tallying billions of streams, and earning induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, the pioneering trio’s incalculable influence has spanned generations, attracting one of the most ardent audiences in history. These musicians effectively reimagined and redefined rock without boundaries, striking a balance between elite instrumentation, anthemic vocals, provocative lyricism, and timeless storytelling both sonically and thematically. RUSH notably achieved “the third most consecutive gold/platinum studio albums by a rock band behind only the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.” Furthermore, their accolades have included becoming Officers of the Order of Canada in 1996, achieving the Canadian Governor General’s Performing Arts Award in 2012, and receiving recognition with both a star on the Canada Walk of Fame and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The world tragically said goodbye to Peart on January 7, 2020 following his battle with brain cancer. Honoring Peart and the legacy the band had forged together, Lee and Lifeson celebrate RUSH on tour in 2026. It’s a moment for new listeners to finally experience this music live in all of its glory and another chance for the group’s faithful fanbase to rally again.

  • Kickass, amazing show -- as always!!

by Anonymous on 2010-08-11White River Amphitheatre - AuburnRating: 5 out of 5

These guys just keep getting better and better!! They are musical geniuses and did not stop cranking out the best tunes ever for 21/2 hours!!! The 3.5 hours drive down to the Whitewater amphitheatre in Auburn (from Vancouver, B.C) was soooooooo worth it.!!

  • by Anonymous on 2010-08-09White River Amphitheatre - AuburnRating: 5 out of 5

these guys are still some of the best in the industry. it's a thrill to watch a true super group at work. I saw them only once before in the mid 70's and they were the back-up band at that point. everyone that came out of that concert talked only about "that awesome Canadian band" My sons and I drove down to Auburn from Vancouver to see them play and it was well worth the time and effort. talking to people in the crowd I'm sure there were some that came from much farther than we did. Rush played for a full three hours...no small feat for any band. The only thing I found was that it was pretty loud. You know what the say "If the music is too loud...your too old to be there" To these people I say " Not a chance...I will rock on till I die!!

  • RUSH is undescribable....

    by Jena10bc on 2010-08-09White River Amphitheatre - AuburnRating: 5 out of 5

I just want to say that for RUSH to play a 3.5 hour show with only a 15 minute break was fantastic. For Geddy to hit the notes he hit, how does it do it? Alex, you a true guitar hero. You did things with your guitar that should be illegal they were so incredible. And Neil, it can not be put into words the domination of your drum kit. Thanks for a great show!!!

  • Great Show..Not so Great Venue .

by Metooted on 2010-08-08White River Amphitheatre - AuburnRating: 5 out of 5

One thing I really admire and enjoy about a Rush show is that it always starts on time. Many other bands seem to have a problem with this concept. Right from the "on-time" start the boys were ON. Lots of energy. The set lists were the best I've experienced at any Rush show. Playing Moving Pictures in it's entirity was a treat in itself but I have to say the highlight of the show was the performance of Camera Eye. It was simply awe-inspiring. Thanks for that guys. Really...I mean it...thanks. Now for the venue. This was my first, and likely my last, show at White River Ampitheatre. The bowl is not nearly steep enough. It was OK when sitting but when standing sightlines were obscured. I'm of average height 5'9" and had to lean left or right or even stand on tip toes to see all of the stage because of larger guys in front of me...even guys three rows in front of me! There were folks behind me less than 5'9"....I can't imagine they saw much at all when the crowd rose to feet. I'd only go back there if I was ticketed to be in any of the 100 sections or in first row of any 200.

Rush was fantastic, as expected..they played a long show full of classics and new material. Sound quality could have been better on the 300 level though (we were in section 321)..higher tones were distorted...overall a great time!

  • by Anonymous on 2010-07-25Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

we saat in section 322 and the sound quality was crap we left before the show was over because it was so terrible. I saw youtube video from somebody on the floor and it sounded good so I don't know what was going on. Never in my life have I left a concert early I always stay until the last encore is played when you pay the kind of money it costs now for tickets it has got to be bad to walk out.

  • Rush A Humbling Experience

by FromKitchener on 2010-07-22Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Having seen Rush in concert 5 times now each moment becomes a special part of my life. No exception with this show in particular as I tried making the experience an unforgettable one for my wife now. Regrettably the humid, smoggy Toronto climate and punishing trek to our lawn seats took a toll on her and we ended up leaving just before the end of the first set. Though I did not get to see my favourite band perform their most superb of albums in its entirety what we did see and hear had convinced my wife that Rush is above all other rudimentary rock groups and have earned a certain level of respect in her mind. I would rate this show higher but since I did not see much more I cannot say I was fulfilled . . . but I'm sure it was all good as any fan of Rush would never be disappointed.

  • Still Blowing the Roof Off

by scatterbrain on 2010-07-21Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

A great show. The guys can still blow the roof off the place. And still using fireworks, explosions and flame throwers, but it all fits! The music was excellent. A couple of small equipment issues, but nothing that took away from the show. A good mix of tunes, a bunch of the newer stuff, but still lots of the classics for us old guys. My only complaint is the crowd. For gods sake peopke, quite running back and forth buying beer and just enjoy the show. And sit down! There is no need to stand for 3 solid hours!

  • RUSH is awesome!!!

by Xanadu on 2010-07-20Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

When was the last time you stood throughout a whole concert! These 3 guys from Toronto are incredible and get better every year. They were tight. Musically they are extraordinary. Only challenge with RUSH these days is that their music catalogue is so big and great that there is not enough time to hear some of your favorites. Xanadu and Trees would be great and a couple of tunes from "Fly by Night". Nonetheless, their music set was great and I enjoyed every minute. Every Canadian (and Torontonian) held their heads up high during this concert. You guys are the best!

  • rush was great

by Syrinx on 2010-07-19Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I saw the boys at the ACC this past Saturday. I can't imagine a more awesome display of musicianship and showmanship! They were unbeleivable! I've seen Rush live 7 times and this is the first time I saw them do Closer to the Heart, the Camera Eye and Time Stand Still live. I almost felt like 3 hours wasn't enough - I could have sat there and listened to them play all day...

  • What a RUSH

by ProperChannels on 2010-07-19Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

I was very suprised that there was no opening act (so were the many concert goers that rushed to their seats once the show started). There was a huge line-up to get in as there were only 3 security people to frisk all of the 400 section people. I was also disappointed that there was a huge bank of speakers that hung down from the side of the stage that obscured the main video screen. Regardless of all of the venue issues, the concert was amazing. The Moving Pictures set was great as was the Closer to the Heart number
