About

RUSH took rock music into uncharted territory and to unmatched heights fueled by the once-in-a-lifetime interplay of Geddy Lee (bass, keys, vocals), Alex Lifeson (guitar, vocals), and the late Neil Peart (drums, lyrics). Selling over 45 million albums worldwide, garnering seven Grammy Award nominations, tallying billions of streams, and earning induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, the pioneering trio’s incalculable influence has spanned generations, attracting one of the most ardent audiences in history. These musicians effectively reimagined and redefined rock without boundaries, striking a balance between elite instrumentation, anthemic vocals, provocative lyricism, and timeless storytelling both sonically and thematically. RUSH notably achieved “the third most consecutive gold/platinum studio albums by a rock band behind only the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.” Furthermore, their accolades have included becoming Officers of the Order of Canada in 1996, achieving the Canadian Governor General’s Performing Arts Award in 2012, and receiving recognition with both a star on the Canada Walk of Fame and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The world tragically said goodbye to Peart on January 7, 2020 following his battle with brain cancer. Honoring Peart and the legacy the band had forged together, Lee and Lifeson celebrate RUSH on tour in 2026. It’s a moment for new listeners to finally experience this music live in all of its glory and another chance for the group’s faithful fanbase to rally again.

  • Rush still shows us how it's done

by alexgeddyneil on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

With almost 40 years of music making together, and pushing 60 years of age, these guys show why they are some of the most respected musicians in the world, regardless of genre. In this day and age of manufactured pop stars, it is refreshing to see a band so committed to substance over style. No mind blowing pyrotechnics, (a few obligatory explosions and fireworks), no giant revolving stages, no outlandish costumes, makeup, or 25 background dancers, just three guys delivering incredible music. I got tired just watching Neil Peart blast out non-stop poly rhythms at a frenetic pace that boggles the mind. They are the epitome of tight, flawless playing, their virtuoso skills honed by years of creativity and practice. They sound like a ten piece band, but yes, it really is just three guys! Awesome experience, would go again!

  • Incredible Musicianship

by NorthernClassicRock on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Rush have lost nothing with age as was witnessed by a full house at the Air Canada Centre. The level of musical skill by these guys is truly incredible.Geddy Lee,Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart constantly wowed the crowd for 3 hours(including short break) with their individual talents.Geddy Lee on most songs plays bass guitar and synthesizer as well as lead vocals, all at the same time! Alex Lifeson plays guitar with his usual high skill level and is truly incredible with his solos.Neil Peart is a powerhouse on the drums, laying down a solid beat that drives every song.On this particular night Rush played songs from their entire career with the highlight being the Moving Pictures cd played in it's entirety, which was worth the price of the ticket alone. The amount of music that these three guys put out has to be seen to be believed.

  • The Boys only get better with age

    by Bobcat388 on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This being my tenth RUSH show,i figured i was in for great night and i was not disappointed. Geddy,Alex and Neil are as tight playing together as they have ever been, from the opening song right through to the enchore, they never let the crowd down. The set list could have had some more of the older songs but,it was good to hear them play thier new songs ie: BU2B and Caravan and trust me these songs ROCK. I took my daughter to this show for her first concert and she was blown away...especially with Neil's drum solo....the Master on the drum kit. I can't wait untill they finish the new album and hopefully come back for another show....I'll be there and i'm sure so will the newest RUSH fan..my daughter.

  • Rush at the ACC

by bonzos on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

They are like a fine bottle of wine. The older they get the better they are. 3 hrs of nothing but Rush. It dosn't get any better.

It was awesome, a few mess ups in the sound but it was great.

Fanatstic band.A few hiccups in Limelight but overall another great performance by three gifted guys.

  • For I have dined on Honeydew

by agentnnc on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

RUSH: there is no substitue. There were some difficulties which were quickly ironed out during Limelight and YYZ (consecutive songs) but the songs weren't ruined or even close. The light show and visuals were amazing. I can't wait to see them again.

  • by Ballzy on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

As much as they had my respect. They gained a whole new respect from me with that performance. The amount of power and talent those 3 guys generate is incredible.

  • solid show

by IADJ on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Another impressive show from Rush. Some sound difficulties during the Moving Pictures segment, but it was great overall, and I loved hearing Marathon, Time Stand Still and Villa Strangiato. Would have traded a few (Working Man, new songs, Stick It Out) for some classics I've yet to hear on the last few tours (Anthem, Xanadu). Also - ACC - crack down on the smokers. Why have a no smoking law if you're not going to use it. I know, I know - it's Rush - but even still. Between that and the idiots who require beer every five minutes - it disrupts the show.

  • What A Rush!

    by casd67 on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Let me start by saying that the combination of Alex Lifeson's guitar solos, Peart's drumming and 15 minute solo, and Geddy Lee's bass/perfect high - note vocals MADE MY SUMMER! The clever time machine motif certainly entertained, but did not take away from the lyrics and music of the band. Despite the fact that I am perhaps not as die hard of a Rush fan as the Rush-savy fans sitting around me, I would see them again in a heart beat. When considering some of the commercial/pop crap which currently passes as music, last night was a demonstration of musical integrity - real talent from solid rockers...from Canada no less. Rush rocked. *****

  • RUSH they still got it.

by PopeyeCanada on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Can't believe I wait 28 years to see them again. They are more skilled then ever. Cheers

  • RUSH rocks on!

by Roady on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Once again, RUSH was an amazing show! Excellent sound and Geddy still sounds awesome, Alex can still rock the guitar and Neil is the best drummer of all time. Young and old, we all love you!

  • Disappointed

by tooshort on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

Didn't recognize most of the songs...all the ones they sang in h the first half sounded the same. We left at intermission. Purposely bought lower bowl seats so I would have a clear sight line but everyone stood so I couldn't see much over big tall guys in front of me. Total waste of over $200 bucks.

  • Unbeivable

    by rush2112 on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Im only 16 and i cant express the concert in any words. it was by far the greatest concert ever performed. neil's 7 min drum solo was :O and alex's acoustic solo was just ridiculously outstanding!!!!!!!!!!! geddy sung great and his bass was beautiful. classics like YYZ, closer the heart, freewill, tom sawyer, subdivisions, sprit of radio, working man, la villa strangiato and more plus new hits caravan, BU2B were amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! holy it was the best concert!!!!!!!!! Rush kicked ass!!!

  • Rush Trio are amazing musicians?

by Scalamoe on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Rush still rock! They have not slowed down and are truly fantastic musicians.

  • These 3 dudes put in a hell of a show!!!

by RVDisme on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The show started dead on 8pm, talk about perfection. The entire show had phenomenal sound and there wasn't one person around me that didn't enjoy every minute of it. I was expecting Geddy to miss high notes, but he got them all! A pretty good vocalist for an older dude! During Limelight was the only technical difficulty and it looked like Lifeson was gonna snap! I'm not a die hard Rush fan, but these guys put ok a killer show I would recommend to anyone!

  • by Dgow452 on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Good night drum solo was great. Glad I could see them before I die

  • AWESOME SHOW

by SKATERDUDE on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

My son and husband saw the show. My son is 16 and has seen quite a few shows. He said this was above awesome - spent 45 minutes telling me all the details. Bought lots of merch and had an awesome time. He said their live show was better than the cd's. They are awesome musicians and the stage show was great. Their voices were as real as their cd's. A great time all the way round. A lifelong fan has been born.

  • Rush timeless

by Bruinsnow on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen rush over 25 times and this had to be in the top 5. I can't wait until next year. The sound is much better at the ACC vs the Molson's Amp. The set list was excellent.

  • RUSH

by Stroodlemuffin on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

AWSOME, something happened during YYZ that made alex's gutair screech, but other than that very cool
