About

RUSH took rock music into uncharted territory and to unmatched heights fueled by the once-in-a-lifetime interplay of Geddy Lee (bass, keys, vocals), Alex Lifeson (guitar, vocals), and the late Neil Peart (drums, lyrics). Selling over 45 million albums worldwide, garnering seven Grammy Award nominations, tallying billions of streams, and earning induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, the pioneering trio’s incalculable influence has spanned generations, attracting one of the most ardent audiences in history. These musicians effectively reimagined and redefined rock without boundaries, striking a balance between elite instrumentation, anthemic vocals, provocative lyricism, and timeless storytelling both sonically and thematically. RUSH notably achieved “the third most consecutive gold/platinum studio albums by a rock band behind only the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.” Furthermore, their accolades have included becoming Officers of the Order of Canada in 1996, achieving the Canadian Governor General’s Performing Arts Award in 2012, and receiving recognition with both a star on the Canada Walk of Fame and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The world tragically said goodbye to Peart on January 7, 2020 following his battle with brain cancer. Honoring Peart and the legacy the band had forged together, Lee and Lifeson celebrate RUSH on tour in 2026. It’s a moment for new listeners to finally experience this music live in all of its glory and another chance for the group’s faithful fanbase to rally again.

  • Still, after all these years...

by mindfx on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I've been a Rush fan since the early '70s, and have followed their career closely. I haven't been to every Rush concert, but I've now been to four of them. This was definitely the best concert event I've attended - ever. That Geddy can still reach those high notes, that Neil can still play better than any drummer even half his age, that Alex is still riffing the way he did when I was still a preteen - that all just amazes me. They're about ten years older than me, and they have more energy than I do - and they show it! Because they love what they do. And as always, some people get Rush, and some people don't. But if you do, you will LOVE this concert. These guys are the best concert performers I've ever seen. Their musicianship shows not only professionalism, but perfectionism. And the stage show seems to out-do itself every time they come up with a new theme. Well done, boys! Looking forward to your next concert.

by WheatKing on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

LAST NIGHT WAS AWESOME! I think every canadian should see these guys. They were really good they sounded just as good live as they sound on their cds. They played many favourites and a couple of new songs. There were some feedback issues for a couple of minutes but it was really good. They played lots of funny video clips which really tied the show together. Pearts drum solo was jaw droppping! i have never seen such an amazing drummerin my life. He is truly the best drummer in the world! Geddy's voice was amazing and Alex went crazy on his guitar solo. I loved it! would see them again in a heart beat!

  • One of the best shows I've ever attended!

by TomSawyeeeee on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The show was completely flawless. To start off the night, they had an intro video which was hilarious, into one of the best openers I can think of, which was The Spirit of Radio. As the night progressed, Rush played old classics, and a few newer ones. Then there was the intermission, which was followed by another intro video into Tom Sawyer, which was followed by the whole Moving Pictures album. After Moving Pictures, they played a brand new song, then Neil Peart did an amazing drum solo. They then finished their set with a few old classics, including Closer to the Heart, and the first two parts of 2112. The encore was two songs, which were La Villa Strangiato and Working Man. The night was amazing overall, and Rush is a show that I would recommend very much to anyone to go to next time they're in town.

  • Rush is Young Again!

by scotteh on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was definitely the best Rush concert I've seen since the Roll the Bones tour. The light show was spectacular, close to Pink Floyd quality, and they played with more enthusiasm and energy than they have in many years. Most importantly, the sound was very much improved. I've been very disappointed over the years as their concert sound got thinner and thinner (unlike the boys themselves! And the rest of us!) but finally it's back to it's former glory. Very powerful bass!! I will never forget first seeing them at Maple Leaf Gardens in 1984 and noticing that whenever they stepped on the Taurus pedals the entire place would vibrate. That hasn't happened since. Until now! You could feel the drums and bass pounding through your chest just like the old days, just like it should always be!

  • AWESOME!

by SKYSTHELIMIT on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Other than some minor technical issues, the concert was everything I expected and more. The large screen was great for far away seats giving us a close view. These guys are creative, artistic and true professionals.

  • RUSH IN TO

by phlyerphan on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The time machine tour...great name. It took me back to my 1st rush show which just happened to be the Moving Pictures tour in '80. A familiar face was there, one of my best friends from that time period except this time we brought our sons back in time, they just happen to be about the same age we were back in '80. What a show, hit after hit! We looked over the floors and got a chuckle watching the floors air drum, it was like a scene from I love you man. The sound quality was incredible, great comical skits on the big screen. Theses perfectionists put on a masterpiece of a show. Great Solo's. One of the best sounding concerts I have ever been to. Worth every penny. Hilarious skit at the end of the show...dont want to ruin it. Welcome home boys!!! Loved the show!

  • by zamion on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Awesome stuff !!! Excellent selection of tunes, Lighting & video were "TOP NOTCH" Getty had amazing vocals and hit a couple of notes I did not know exists. Neil's drum solo was typically wonderful, good use of electronics. Alex had his sunburst Les Paul go wankers a couple of times. Over all the show was really good,, Thanks, my son now has a great more respect for Rush.

  • RUSH

by Tanklord on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen RUSH ten times and they just seem to get better with age. They always seem to love coming home to play, and it showed. The skits were funny and they seem very comfortable in the self-depracating department. Geddy was in top form, Alex never disappoints, and Neil is still the best drummer in the world. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and left hootin' and hollerin' as they filed out.

  • RUSSSSSH!

by Polski on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome as always! Greatest band in Canada, hell, this continent. Never missing a note or beat, and the energy!!! Can't wait til next year! Note: A little Fireworks & Flames, different for them. Recyled the washing machines (TV's) into speakers and a Time Machine.

  • Absolutely torrid!

by Mikicicamica on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The event of my lifetime. The only problem with my writing one superlative after another is the perception that choice tickets will be harder to get next time. It was beyond amazing--you need another category for this one.

  • by earandeyecandynerd on 2010-07-18Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Rush was great. They really know how to put a show together. They have a knack for knowing what it’s like to be watching them: where to put good video backing, tri-band shots and moments of no video, just lights, just three guys playing, giving the lyrics just the space they need to settle in us. They know the narrative of a great show. More than a super set list punctuated with steam blasts, heart-shuddering thunder and towering orange fires you could feel from the floor, a great show means bits of random humour and not taking yourself too seriously while at the same time not overdoing it and coming across as a circus act. I’m such a Rush nerd I caught a few wrong notes, but I’m glad for them. I thought Alex stole the night. Such good playing. Such feeling.

  • What a Rush

by Grimley on 2010-07-17Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic as usual!! Amazing how much music they can put out. Alex Lifeson does not get the recognition he deserves.

  • Best Rush show I've been to

by Jerryc on 2010-07-16Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Rush definitely wowed the audience at the Molson Amphitheatre. A good mix of newer material, but enough of the older material for us seasoned fans. Moving Pictures in its entirety was fantastic, definitely a sight to behold. Nothing beats a Rush show in their home town. Alex's guitar work was great for the most part, but really floored me during the solos. Geddy was also energized, you could see he was putting 100% into it. Neil..... well, I'm used to seeing some incredible drumming - this time it went beyond that! Easily one of the best (living or dead) drummers, it will become readily apparent to anyone who's never seen him play why he's known as "The Professor on the drum kit" I enjoyed the show so much I picked up a ticket for Saturday's performance at the Air Canada Center in Toronto. Bottom line - I can't recommend this tour highly enough...... GET A TICKET!

  • Rush Rocks

by Sydd on 2010-07-16Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Rush still can Rock after 40 years. I could never afford the tickets when I was younger but I made it my goal to see them Live when I could afford it. I had Row 7 section 202 in the middle. It was nice to see young and old enjoy a Canadian Rock Band. Except for a few over jelous groupies which security took care of quickly. I'am glad I went. The venue was tough to get out of after the concert. The molsen ample theatre is old and they need a face lift!! There at the ACC this weekend July 17-10. Its a great show!! Go see them if you can go!!

  • Why see anybody else

by jeremysadness on 2010-07-16Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Tight, poetic, energetic, what more can you say. RUSH are the ultimate musicians. July 13 show at the Molson Ampi Theatre was the 7th time I sen them and as usual they were masterful. My 12 year old son was in awe of Neil's drumming.
