About

RUSH took rock music into uncharted territory and to unmatched heights fueled by the once-in-a-lifetime interplay of Geddy Lee (bass, keys, vocals), Alex Lifeson (guitar, vocals), and the late Neil Peart (drums, lyrics). Selling over 45 million albums worldwide, garnering seven Grammy Award nominations, tallying billions of streams, and earning induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, the pioneering trio’s incalculable influence has spanned generations, attracting one of the most ardent audiences in history. These musicians effectively reimagined and redefined rock without boundaries, striking a balance between elite instrumentation, anthemic vocals, provocative lyricism, and timeless storytelling both sonically and thematically. RUSH notably achieved “the third most consecutive gold/platinum studio albums by a rock band behind only the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.” Furthermore, their accolades have included becoming Officers of the Order of Canada in 1996, achieving the Canadian Governor General’s Performing Arts Award in 2012, and receiving recognition with both a star on the Canada Walk of Fame and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The world tragically said goodbye to Peart on January 7, 2020 following his battle with brain cancer. Honoring Peart and the legacy the band had forged together, Lee and Lifeson celebrate RUSH on tour in 2026. It’s a moment for new listeners to finally experience this music live in all of its glory and another chance for the group’s faithful fanbase to rally again.

  • Rush Rocks Hamilton!!!!!!

    by Rich2112 on 2013-07-10Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

Possibly the best show I have ever had the privilege of seeing! Rush are a hard working and touring band who give their fans their monies worth! They deliver night after night the best and most authentic rock (hard to just limit them within that genre!) around. Clockwork Angels is an incredible album that was brought to life in the middle of dazzling solo's and unforgettable works of art that spans throughout their entire ,mind-blowing, career! After 3 hours of incredible music, I was floored. They didn't let up one bit and played so good it was surreal. The entire show was out of this world, Geddy's Playing/Voice were amazing, a true great! Alex sounded like a wall of guitars, with such amazing melodic and piercing solo's and the mighty Neil Peart was jaw dropping as always, with a drum solo I will never forget!GO SEE RUSH NOW!!!!

  • RUSH Rocks better than ever

    by RUSHFan4Ever on 2013-07-10Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

RUSH is definitely my all-time favourite Rock Band. This concert was bloody brilliant. My estimation and respect for Alex, Geddy and Neil has increased dramatically after seeing them live again. They are ever the consummate musicians that they have always been, their stage show is really engaging, their sense of humour is obvious and the crowd Loves RUSH to the max. RUSH has impressed me once again. They are superb on stage and they clearly love to perform. This concert was simply EXCELLENT.

  • Rush was awesome

  • RUSH was totally amazing!!

    by Sadie7272 on 2013-07-10Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

As always, RUSH put on another unforgettable performance at the Copps Coliseum last Saturday night! I took my 10 year old son who is now just as much a RUSH fan as I am. This was his second RUSH concert in a matter of months. We love their new music almost as much as the classic stuff!! Absolutely loved the strings added to the Clockwork Angels set.

  • Rush was Wicked

    by 13docs6924 on 2013-07-10Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

They were great, was not expecting it to be that good. Good stage setup and and screen use and the screen skits were funny! Great drum solos! Was not a huge Rush fan but am now. The new music is very well done! I will be seeing them again!! the only slight neg was sound could have been better - think it is the arena.

  • Rush: An Entire Evening of Wonderful Rock!!

    by Auto0072 on 2013-07-10Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

Great music, sold out crowd on there feet the entire time. 3 Hours of Old/New/Old music. Good olde drum solos by the best in the business Neil Peart. Effortless on the guitars by Alex Lifeson........& Getty just thumpin' that bass and still with the high pitch voice all night long.

  • What a RUSH!!!!

    by Vertigogo7777 on 2013-07-10Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

The first time I saw Rush was in 1974 (with John Rutsey), the last time (so far) was July 6, 2013 at Copps Coliseum, and I've seen them dozens of times in between. I have never been disappointed at a RUSH concert and this time it was no different. They are amazing and I love the fact that they have a good sense of humour on stage. They look like they are having fun and they love performing and it's contagious with the audience. The stringed section was different and it showed this band is constantly evolving and they are not satisfied with being stagnant. I do wish they played more material for their first 6 albums though!

  • Rush Hamilton

by Bruinsnow on 2013-07-10Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 4 out of 5

Great show. Rush was right on as usual. 3 hour show from 60 year old musicians is truly remarkable. Inspiration to all. Their music keeps getting better. Can't wait for their 40th anniversary tour. Their set list was the only thing that kept me from giving the show a 5. Too many songs off their clockwork angels album.

Rush put on a fantastic show! They sure gave you value for your ticket. I just wish they would have played more classic vintage songs from the 70's & 80's. It was really nice to see younger fans at the show. It was unfortunate that these kids had to smell marijuana strongly in our section!!

  • Awesome rush !!

    by ggau62 on 2013-07-10Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

This had to be their best performance ever. I have been to 3 before. They had a group of violinists and a cellist on the background... Peart gave 2 drum solos ... Lifeson and Lee were on fire too... Awesome show. They are sooooo underestimated ... There is absolutely no one of their generation playing as good music as they do... They are by far masters of their trade Keep it up guys!!

  • Rush: Top of their game!

by Bookmom on 2013-07-10Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

I agree with the boys, Rush is playing better than ever. Interesting set list - a few songs from every sound era of the 80's, 90's, and 2000's with a progressively darker more wall of sound, sound. Excellent entertainment factor with great pyro, popcorn machine, video clips and video screen. Loved the live string ensemble playing songs other than from Clockwork Angels. Loved seeing how much the boys enjoyed playing and appreciating the audience. Neil played 2 fantastic solos - so cool to hear what his electronic drums can do! Excellent solos from Alex and Geddy too! Overall a good time was had by all.

  • Rush rocks Copps!

by Rushvirgin on 2013-07-10Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

This was the first time I've ever seen Rush live and I'm now kicking myself for not seeing them years ago! Just an outstanding show. Lots of the classics and a good bit of Clockwork Angels too. They give you your money's worth - 2 hrs & 35 minutes of music! You really begin to appreciate just how good musicians the 3 of them are - man can they play - Geddy with great bass riffs, Alex wailing on guitar and Niel is an unreal drummer.

  • RUSH

by oldenough on 2013-07-10Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

we had a great time , the show was awesome , the only thing that would have been better would have been able to go backstage with our buddy Gerry McGhee (Brighton Rock, lead singer, who is also making a come back in Britain). Have to say that Rush is one of the greatest Canadian Rock Bands.

  • Rush... Just keeps getting better!

by JEMSquirrel on 2013-07-10Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

Been a Rush fan for many years... Loved the Time Machine tour show, this one was even better!!! This was the best concert I have ever seen bar none!

  • Rush amazing as always.

    by JayJay64 on 2013-07-10Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

Once again Rush put on a fantastic show. From the opening bars of "Subdivisions" to the last note of the 2112 finale, Rush showed why they are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Fantastic sound made the show even more memorable. Sure they're getting on in age, but Geddy, Lifeson and Peart still make the bands of today look sick. If you have never seen Rush in concert, check them out you won't be disappointed.

  • Awesome show by an awesome band!

    by cyberbilly1 on 2013-07-10Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

This was my 10th time seeing Rush in concert and it was easily one of the best shows I've seen. The new songs from Clockwork Angels all sound magnificent and the string section was a very welcome addition. As always, the band had great energy and was really feeding off the crowd. As a good part of the setlist was centred around the 80's albums we got to hear quite a few songs that haven't been played on recent tours.

  • by Anonymous on 2013-07-10Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

Rush was excellent. Geddy was in top form. I really liked the new album set .

  • Another great show!

by teaudio on 2013-07-10Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

The quality of the Rush performance is never going to vary: always excellent. Seats bought morning of the show: closest seats ever! Almost better than front row floors as I was slightly elevated. Wow.

  • RUSH was GREAT!!!!!!!!

Exceptional performance and show, 2 hours and 45 minutes of Canada's greatest band.
