  • Amazing

by Sanfan on 2019-08-09Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The Doobie Brothers were good but Santana was amazing. At over 70 we can still play the guitar like just about no one else. There were very few pauses and he moved from one song to another - it was non-stop entertainment. Saw him quite a few years ago when he toured for Supernatural and he has lost a little on the guitar. The music was also very loud and so the vocalists had a hard time. All in all a terrific concert.

  • Debbie Brother’s Were Great. Santana was OK

by NWIceman on 2019-08-06Xcel Energy Center - Saint PaulRating: 3 out of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed the Doobie Brothers. They sounded great, had the crowd rocking and the arena was up and pumped. They had a good arrangements of their hits and sounded right on the pitch. Glad they were the opening act. Unfortunately Santana didn’t follow up well in my view. His band was excellent, particularly the percussions and his wife the drummer was crazy good. But the singers didn’t seem to fit his music. He strayed from his music to try some modern stuff and rapping, not what I came to see. Wanted good old rock and roll which I thought it was about. Only a little reference to 50th Anniversary of him playing at Woodstock which I thought his tour was for. More videos or pics of this would have been cool. Carlos did a great job but the crowd was not rocking like they did with the Doobie Brothers. Was disappointing as it just didn’t seem to meet the hype.

  • A great show with a true legend!

    by The902guy on 2018-04-13Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 4 out of 5

What a great opportunity to not only hear this amazing musician play but to also listen to him express his love of the human race! Santana grew up in an era many generations before my birth, his message through his music and in the times he took to address his gratification to the crowds exudes his sincere devotion to peace and love in the world. So happy I got to see him play!

  • Great Show

I have seen Santana many times, and this show rated near the top. The first 40 minutes were devoted to songs from his first two albums.

  • Awesome Concert - truly amazing

The whole concert was great - I bought the tickets for a friend and went with. Truly surprised at how great Santana is and the action and entertainment of the show. A must see.

  • Awesome performance.

The tickets said that the band would start at 8 pm. They started right at 8pm. There was a lot of energy from all the band member. They were also top notch musicians and I don't think they missed a beat. Carlos had three singers that also played instruments. The main singer had a lot of energy. The sound system was good, It didn't blow you away. They guys that did the light show were great also. There was a lot of movement of lights that were in sync with both sides of the stage.

  • Santana was a dream!

by Yogaleela on 2018-03-31FirstOntario Centre - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

GREAT concert! I like Carlos Santana speeches, too! The music was fantastic. All the musicians are talented, esp. the one who sang Roxanne just like Sting (a real treat!) I would have liked a bit more in the encore, though. it felt as if it ended a bit too quickly.

  • Santana - Divination Tour 2018

by Ouisie on 2018-03-30Bell MTS Place (Formerly MTS Centre) - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed the show. Santana was as good as ever and they played non stop for 2 1/2 hours. It was amazing! And towards the end of that performance, his wife performed an amazing drum solo that lasted over 15 minutes. It was just incredible and we totally enjoyed it!

  • A great show

by Muzicue on 2018-03-27Bell MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Santana - Divination Tour 2018 was one of the best I have seen in a long time . Carlos and the band put on a show where the focus was on the music and how it made you feel . They went to great lengths to make you feel good . Cindy's drumming was delivered with real emotional feel and Musicality. They played for 2hrs and 20 minutes with little grand standing or BS chatter . It was about the music . Equally important the show was reasonably priced and ticket sale went smoothly without having to buy memberships or vip packs to get decent seats . More musical acts need to follow this way of concert sales and presentation, instead of Greed with 1,000 tkt pricing for prime seats , must join fan clubs options and excessive vip packs & merch sales .

  • Santana was amazing

by freshstart on 2018-03-26FirstOntario Centre - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

Santana hit the stage with a 9 piece band. Every musician was the best of the best. The sound in a large arena was spectacular. Very impressed that the show started promptly on time, and lasted 2hrs 20 minutes with no intermission.

  • Santana!

by LoveLiveShows on 2018-03-25FirstOntario Centre - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

It was a hippy trippy show. He played classics, hits, and obscure material. His audience engagement between songs was interesting - everything from peace and love, to political messages, to embracing your own positive energy and sending it out to the world, be kind and helpful to others...all good messages. And, of course, the way he plays that guitar just left me in awe of his legendary talent. Omigosh, it was moving.

  • Carlos still brilliant

by trudydogwood on 2018-03-24FirstOntario Centre - HamiltonRating: 4 out of 5

I last saw Santana in 1980 at Knebworth festival supporting The Beach Boys. That was a great day out in itself.Fast forward thirty- eight years and Carlos still has a magical touch and sound.A ten piece band with three percussionists. They played Samba Pa Ti, Oye Como Va and Black Magic Woman relative early in the set.Smooth was held back for the encore. No support band and two and a half hours of brilliance. Two excellent vocalists.Enjoyed the rendition of The Police's "Roxanne". A great night and hope I get to see them again a little sooner next time.

I would recommend them to my friends if they came back to Hamilton sometime. Playing for over 2 hours with no break was awesome. I didn't miss having a break. There message and songs about peace and love were appreciated.
