Go out of your way to see this.
by SimonH on 2011-08-29Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5My first ever Santana concert. I 've followed his career since the 70's but never got around to seeing him live. Now I regret not making that effort sooner. Sheer class ! Go out of your way to see this tour a great mix of old and new, the best and tightest band I have ever witnessed.
Santana
by Inspector on 2011-08-29Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5The opener, "Michael Franti" was wonderful. He was able to set the stage perfectly for the main event. He was so personal, he made it feel like we were all in the living room together having a rockin' sing along. It goes without saying, Santana delivered just as expected. An exceptional show! He oozes talent, an absolute master. The whole ensemble played at the Carlos Santana level of excellance. He expressed his faith in humanity, the light and love that we are all born with. I would have enjoyed more music, I could have listen all night long.
Santana is truly Sexy
by Kikacec1966 on 2011-08-29Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5He knocked me off my feet. I could not sit down. I closed my eyes just to feel the energy, to dance and to move like no other man could do! His change of guitar was like the next heart beat. I loved his performance, his words of wisdom, and most of all his talent! He makes me feel so alive inside, and only women can say that in a way I want to but I'm not sure if I can on this page. I loved the concert right down to the last minute/second. I'd definitely go see him again!
Awesome
by Shnefany on 2011-08-29Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5I loved this show, the opener was great, but nothing beats Carlos~ he's consistently awed me... this is my second concert for him and really i'd go again in a heart beat...
Santanta - Amazing as always
by finewine28 on 2011-08-29Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5Santana is my all time favourite artist. His songs have been played at some of my most memorable occasions. I took my daughter to the concert and she was as captivated as I have been so many times. He is a legend. A masterful guitarist and a fine entertainer.
Spiritual
by highlandertcbo1 on 2011-08-29Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5Carlos was in fine form this past Saturday night. Did a cover of AC/DC's Back In Black in a reggae/rap style that was interesting..to say the least; but I liked it.
A night of beautiful harmony
by Domco on 2011-08-29Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5I thoroughly enjoyed the concert as it was alive with beautiful sounds from all the instruments (11 band members). The music beautiful and the musicians were tight and full of energy. It was a collge of beutiful sounds. Carlos Santana is still the king of the guitar and his mellow, music touched the soul. The light show was very good and the video was excellent. An unforgettable experienc e.

Sanatana in Vancouver
by VictoriaFreddie on 2011-08-29Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5We travelled to get to see the show and it was worth every penny spent.
Santanna was a huge dissapointment for us.
by Good2go on 2011-08-29Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 1 out of 5This so called concert was an assault on my ears, mind and body. I have never witnessed such a gross display of outright noise by a group of sound thugs calling themselves musicians. Why in the world do they have to literally blast you out of your seats with such booming noise? The opening 2 numbers were unthinkable noise. This was not musci at all; just blasting noise and banging drums ( 3 sets of drums? oh my God) . The two vocalists screaming at the top of their lungs to be heard was not signing. This was terrible display of non talent. What ever happened to the smooth sounds of Santanna that have turned into such garbage and why so LOUD, LOUD, LOUD!!!
Great show.
by bhqueen on 2011-08-29Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5Carlos Santana is a superb guitarist, and his band was amazing. His two vocalists were incredibly versatile and did an amazing job as well. The mix of old and new music was just what I wanted to hear. It was interesting to hear how he has updated the old standards such as Evil Ways to make it feel current! I also enjoyed the video behind the band, especially the scenes from Woodstock. I didn't enjoy the opening act because I am not a fan of rap, but they did their thing and definitely got the crowd going!
Santana concert was excellent
by NYChick on 2011-08-29Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5Santana was exceptional as always, and his band is so talented and awesome. Opening act of Michael Frampti was great and he really got the audience pumped up. Definitely a show not to be missed!

Incredible Journey
by willis2 on 2011-08-29Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5Carlos (Santana) never disappoints. One word PURE. He draws the crowd to him. People all around us were dancing. Absolutely fantastic. Another great memory! Thanks Carlos
santana
by Berds on 2011-08-29Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5Excellent showmanship and good sound! It would be nice if the arena could purchase mobile and retractable seating racks for the floor so that high ticket payers are able to stand and dance in their row without obstructing the ones at the back. This sort is seating is very common in Europe and Asia.

Santana can still rock
by jjinlotusland on 2011-08-29Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5Absolutely one of the best concerts I have seen in years. The man is still awesome, his band was exceptional and the singers did justice to all of his collaborations. Just sorry he cut short his "Soul Sacrifice" that is one of the best riffs ever.
Santana was all I had hoped for.
by Salnjay on 2011-08-29Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5First off..... the show started on time.... Kudos for that. Santana was nonstop music..... great great musicians..... Wow!
