  • Santana was great but getting in was a nightmare

by Stella on 2022-08-10Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was great but getting into the facility was ridiculous in the stifling heat and the gated crowds. We parked as usual at Exhibition Place but they had huge fences around what used to be an easy area to manoeuvre. We will think twice about doing that again. And then the facility’s gates limited entrance so despite arriving at 6 pm we didn’t get in until the opener, Earth, Wind & Fire, were almost done. I’ve been to dozens of shows there and this was the first time we were herded like cattle and on such a crazy hot day. So ridiculous.

  • Santana and his band were phenomenal.

Cindy is the most energetic drummer I’ve ever seen. She brings perfection to a new level. While all band members were entertaining, the two main singers kept the crowd moving. Earth, Wind & Fire are fantabulous and worth seeing again and again. Too bad the two bands didn’t collaborate at one point during the show.

  • Concert was amazing...Entry to the Venue was Chaotic

by Big Fan on 2022-08-10Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

First, let me say that both Earth, Wind & Fire, and Santana were amazing!! Everything I could have hoped for and more. It was pure joy to be witness to these incredibly talented musicians who are masters of their craft. Unfortunately, I must also share my deep disappointment with the way entrance to Ontario Place for the above concert was managed. After receiving an email from Ticketmaster on Sunday morning suggesting that people take public transit, we chose to take the Go Train to the venue. We arrived at the Exhibition GO Station at 6:20pm The concert was to begin at 7:15pm as outlined in Ticketmaster's email. We spent over an hour waiting in line to enter the venue. It was completely unorganized and there was obviously not enough time for all of the people who had tickets to enter the gates in an hour and 15 minutes (I understand the gates to the venue opened at 6pm). You would have thought being at the venue 55 minutes early would have given us plenty of time to get through the gates and to our seats. Unfortunately, that was not the case and we did not get to our seats until 7:45pm and we missed Earth, Wind & Fire's first few songs for a concert I have looking forward to seeing for over two years. I have been to many concerts at the Budweiser Stage and have never experienced anything like this before. It is a shame, as the Budweiser Stage, in my opinion, is the best venue to see a live concert in Toronto, but if this disorganization continues it will turn people off of choosing to attend concerts at this location.

  • Santana

Santana was fantastic! The musicians are extremely talented. This is my 5th Santana concert....a must see!

  • Show Great, Venue Awful

by Ken on 2022-08-10Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

Access to the venue was disappointing to say the least. There was a huge line up and I am sure some folks missed Earth Wind and Fire. I have no idea why but this is unacceptable. Budweiser Stage needs to revist whatever they are doing and fix it

  • BEST SHOW EVER

by amber & melissa on 2022-08-10Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

amazing show by Earth Wind & Fire! Had a great time, will be going back if they decide to perform again!

  • Great Concert Great Experience

EWF & Santana did an amazing concert, was dancing the whole time, the crowd had great vibes

  • Great concert, not so great venue experience

by Risa on 2022-08-10Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

The show was amazing! One of the best performances I have ever attended. The venue was a nightmare. The fact that parking was almost non-existence and the 30 minute wait to get into the venue made us late.

  • Facility

by Stretch on 2022-08-10Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Crowd control outside entrance was lame. Post some security out there. Exit and entrance from seated are of venue is insanely narrow if 16,000 people needed to be evacuated quickly.

  • Loved Music, smoking bad!

by Fdp on 2022-08-10Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Concert amazing, location fantastic but why allow people to smoke marihuana on the seats? This ruin it for me. I dont smoke and the smell was horrible , nobody controlled or patrolled the sitting sections , why allow this? We arent all pot smokers!!

  • Awesome concert

by Amanda on 2022-08-10Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

The bands were very nice, and they started playing on time. Nice concert. The only problem is that the concert space, specially the lawn is completely disorganized. They shouldn’t allow people to bring chairs, or if they do, they should have some restricted area on the back of the lawn for them. The way it was, a lot of people put big chairs right in front of the lawn and people who were sitting on the grass like me couldn’t see a thing

  • Great show…. Disgusting entrance to venue

by Barry on 2022-08-10Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Arrived at 5:55 pm. Took till 7:05 to get to our seats. Felt like cattle being herded. Many people near our seats missed first 30 minutes of the concert.

  • Great Music… Bad Logistics

by TSYO dad on 2022-08-10Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Music was awesome. Both EWF and Santana sounded amazing and put on great shows! The entrance to the venue was a fiasco. We had VIP tickets which we had to pick up at the Box Office. We were forced to cut through massive lines of angry patrons. Once at the Box Office we were then directed back towards a small white tent where we physically picked up our tickets, and then directed to just wade back through the crowd and lines to get VIP access. It was a major commotion and just pissed everybody else off. The venue needs to find a better way to organize entrance logistics.

  • Éxitos

by Abraham on 2022-08-10Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Europa … I love you much … etc etc !!

  • Unorganized, good concert could have been better

    by Maria R on 2022-08-10Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

To get in the venue was nuts, because of security? They hardly check the bags! As for the music was fantastic but Santana had way more music from his past era that he really missed, I can't believe he did not play Europa and Samba pa ti.

  • Concert was great, Budweiser stage dropped the ball

by Muni on 2022-08-10Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

It took us over an hour to get into the venue, long lineup for security and ticket checking forced the long lineup in the heat. While thousands of us waited from each side of parking lot and through the ex, earth wind and fire started.

  • Garbage

by Grumpy on 2022-08-10Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

Long wait to get in - that is just a major event thing which you expect and bothered pretty much everyone else more than my son and me. What did bother me was that I probably ingested more 2nd hand weed that night than I had in my whole 57 previous years - we have a problem Canada..... Booked decent seats in 201 and staff were efficient enough in getting us there. Fun to see EWandF still having a go and enjoying themselves. 'SANTANA' arrived on stage punctually (21:00). It was exactly 28 minutes before either my son or I saw the stage as we were sitting in the seats for which we had paid, behind a rows of middle aged, over-weight want-to-be session vocalists gyrating around like demented blancmanges. Finally, when the thrombosis overcame the geriatric wall of blubber before us, and they sat down, we realised that they had actually been shielding us from some seriously poor sound mixing, which was so rediculously over based it was physically uncomfortable. It appeared to us that we were watching a pair of amateur street vocalists, who thought volume was an acceptable substitute for correct pitch, pronunciation, melody, being backed by a still tallented, but relegated, musical icon. So, after about 4 minutes, the whale chorus staggered to their ulcerrated feet again and blocked out the stage for the rest of what we could stand of the performance. I tried to hold out for a full hour but, after 50 mins I suggested that we withdraw gracefully - my son had been ready for some time. We exited the stadium amongst a sea of like-minded disappointees, relieved to return to our regular, unassisted breathing patterns. This birthday present to my son was a disaster - just as well we practice low stress management of our lives and didn't let it get to us. Last time for me at a "big name" concert .

  • Phenomenal!

by Brenda on 2022-08-10Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Both Earth, Wind and Fire and Santana had the entire audience on our feet moving to their great music!

  • Spoiled by slow lineup

by Paul on 2022-08-10Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

We arrived 5 minutes after the published gate opening time, but missed half of the opening act due to the longest lineup we have ever experienced at this venue. Fortunately the thunderstorm predicted did not happen. Having waited two years for this concert due to Covid delays and travelled to attend, this was disappointing. Budweiser Stage has been a favourite venue for years and hopefully these delays will be remedied. Front of house sound was excellent for Earth Wind and Fire who performed a tremendous set. Santana is always a joy with the percussion section without a doubt this concerts highlight.
