Canadian rocker Serena Ryder is a rare talent who's trailblazing the way for a unique breed of folk rock. BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in Canada, Serena Ryder got her start penning songs at 11, drawing inspiration from legends like Leonard Cohen and the Beatles and learning to play guitar a few years later. Before long she was sharing her music with the local community, performing at local gigs in the Quebec arts community and singing alongside bands Three Days Grace and Thousand Foot Krutch. She scored her first record deal at just 18, leading to her major label debut in 2005 with Unlikely Emergency. With eight Juno Awards, a number of Top 10 hits, and several gold and platinum-certified records under her belt, Ryder has definitely made a name for herself in her native Canada. Back on the road, she gives ticket buyers plenty to look forward to as she heads out for an exciting Canadian tour.
Serena Ryder is a dynamic, amazing talent! I loved how she changed up some Christmas classics, and some she performed close to the original. Her non-Christmas songs were also very good!

Serena went beyond excellent in Christmas Kisses, enchanting us with the full three octave range of her captivating voice, especially belting it out on Blue Christmas. And what a delight to watch on stage and as she ventured up the aisles to get close with us all. I’ve been a big fan of Serena since I first heard Little Bit of Red. Now I can’t stop playing her music. She’s on all my playlists.
Amazing concert, did not disappoint on any front. Love how she engaged with the audience. Her voice and energy are fantastic. So much emotion and range in her songs. I really like how regularly she acknowledged her band, a great artist all around.
Serena put on an amazing show Sunday evening. It was a great mix of Christmas and her original music. She engaged the audience and left us wanting more! Will definitely see her again!!

My wife is a huge Serena Ryder fan so getting to see her favourite artist with her was an absolute pleasure! Serena didn’t disappoint. She played a lot of her hits with Christmas tunes sprinkled in as well. She can really belt it out, even more than you hear on her cd.
My daughter and I attended together and loved every minute! Serena really connects with her audience and her talent is simply amazing. Her voice is the best I’ve heard live in a long time and her guitar skills are some of the finest. She really put on an excellent show. Merry Christmas Baby and Weak in the Knees - loved these songs!
I love the honesty of this great Canadian singer/song writer. Enjoyed the spin she put on the old Christmas song. She touches my heart with her fight to win the effects of depression. I enjoyed the concert and hope she does more songs in the future.
Serena Ryder is such a terrific entertainer, and pair that with one of the best female vocals EVER, and an amazing band accompanying her and you get one of the most enjoyable concerts you can imagine. Sooooooo affordable, and we had some really great seats. The Jubilee Auditorium is a wonderful venue, small and intimate with great acoustics. I honestly cannot believe this girl is not world wide famous. Don't miss a chance to hear her if you get the opportunity.
From the usher telling us to take the empty seats closer to the front to being allowed to bring our drinks into the concert hall, I was impressed with the service and the hospitality of all the staff! The concert was spot on! A little blues, a Little Rock and roll and some Christmas Classics with a new twist to get you into the holiday spirit! I have a great time at the Jub!!!! Oh the art was fantastic too!!
Serena is a uncut diamond. Her voice and her ability to personalize songs is a Canadian secret.!
I didn't know much about Serena Ryder prior to attending this concert - but now I want to know everything about her! Delightful concert with a great mix of Christmas and non-Christmas songs. Great voice, charming banter, huge energy, wonderfully Canadian sense of humour! This girl can rock and has fun as she does it. The band was great as well. I appreciated her openness about her own mental health struggles and her "put on your own mask first" message resonated with me. All in all a wonderful evening. Awesome job Serena!
Serena was playful with her audience and engaging. Her voice is even better live than in the studio ... pitch perfect, strong and emotional. Such a nice blend of christmas music and her hits. Great show.
We really enjoyed the dialog between songs and how she had us sing along with her. She's really funny! Also liked the mix of Christmas and her regular hits. A very fun evening!
