    who was that?

by folker on 2022-05-12Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

we have been to see Shakey twice and were really excited to see him again. Between the lights, and noise....yes I will call it noise as it was not the great sound we were used to. I did not recognize one song...i knew the words but it was like i was seeing a totally different singer. i get maybe you wanted to change things up for the younger crowd who were drinking their faces off and high..but what i saw was someone who semed to have indulged himself before the concert and decided to play whatever he wanted because the event was sold out. will never see him again or recommend him to others...total disappointment.

    Great concert setting

Loved the option of being in a mosh like pit on the floor and a low key balcony on the top!

    Begonia / Shakey Graves

by Woody on 2022-05-11Coors Event Centre (formerly known as O'Brians Event Centre) - Saskatoon

The venue was disorganized from getting in the building to the show actually starting. The show was over an hour late to start and there was a significant gap between the opener and the headliner. I left the show early so that I could get home at a decent time and was very disappointed in the whole experience.

Great show - venue gets 0/5

by Core Why on 2022-05-11Coors Event Centre (formerly known as O'Brians Event Centre) - Saskatoon

Showed up 30 mins after doors, somehow the lineup to get in took 45 mins getting harassed by homeless people the whole time. Not sure how 2k capacity with all pre-sold tickets can possibly take that long. After the show Coors locked all the doors except one and had people trying to funnel out sneaking past the merch line. Staff was trying to usher and me friends out and we suggested that us waiting where we were was significantly safer than being stuck in the mod of people who couldn't escape. Coors managed to create possibly the worst bottleneck of people I've ever seen for an exit. Massive failure for a centre designed to hold this many people. I understand that you have to make sure people don't leave with drinks but only onlocking 1/4 of your exits and bottling on the same Side of the merch booth was a mistake. Coors has invested so much money into renovating their venue and done a great job - now they just need to hire staff who understand that safety and convenience are things that customers value. Shakey Graves was unreal as usual

    Shakey Graves delivers.. and how!

by Chopper on 2022-05-05Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

My son is a Shakey Graves fan, I am an old duffer stuck in the 70's. I bought tickets for him and myself to have a father-son evening out. Begonia, the opening act was the perfect intro. Seems like a lot of Vancouver folks already knew about her and she really does have a good voice and great audience connection. When Shakey came on, I really did not know what to expect. Well, I must admit, he rocked the house and I found myself completely absorbed by his style and musicality. Would I catch his show again? In a heartbeat!!

    Mindblown

by Leslie on 2022-05-05Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

Shakey Graves was incredible!! Loved that he brought out his whole band but also did a lot of the show solo too. The theatre was stunning and sound was excellent. I already can't wait to see them again.

Maybe I am not a fan

by BlueOnBlue on 2015-11-11The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

I go to lots of shows roughly more than 20 shows per year. I go to local bands shows, small venue and big shows as well, and I am a huge fan of music. I was very excited about this show. I won't say this show was bad but I am not impressed the way other reviewers are impressed. It was okay I had a relatively good time. But some of the songs that I like were performed with less quality comparing to the recorded version. Lots of people there, were die heart fans. I was just a person who really cares about music and loves some of Shakey's songs. I think the guy is really talented but I wouldn't say that was the best show that I've seen.

Shakey Graves is a musical Genius!

by SpookyWagons on 2015-11-11The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

The show was unbelievable, I can't even put words to it! He is incredible and the Danforth Music Hall is a great venue. I found it strange tho that everyone I mentioned him to didn't know who I was talking about yet the show was sold out and rockin! So worth the money, I'd go again no hesitation!

    Amazing show as always!

by Dani1234667 on 2015-11-11The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Great show! His music live is so much better than recordings which is very rare these days. Shakey always has such high energy and makes jokes with the crowd and genuinely has fun on stage. Even if you're not into this genre of music I highly recommend this show to anyone that enjoys live music!

    Shakey Graves is amazing.

by JCatVH on 2015-04-18State Theatre - Portland

As a huge Shakey Graves fan, myself and my two sisters decided to make a roast trip and come to portland for the show. It was fantastic... David Ramirez opened up with a beautiful set, and shortly afterwards, Shakey Graves came on and reminded me of the reason we decided to travel so far. The State Theatre I was a great venue for it. Pretty sure we had a little "stump the drummer" action and his chosen set list was parfait. The encore at the end required about 5 minutes of straight clapping but it was well worth the hand soreness. Thanks Shakey, must be tiring but you're good at what you do... Come to Moncton NB!

Great show. Interactive. He knows how to work a crowd. Amazing talent, tons of energy & a genuine good time. Openers Esme Patterson & Rayland Baxter were amazing as well.
