  • Great Show

    by Mishka89 on 2010-08-12Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 4 out of 5

Very high energy. Sheryl Crow is a true performer. My only criticism is the sound quality was not very good. Either the treble or bass was way too high- the band sounded way too loud overpowering Sheryl.

  • Love Sheryl Crow

by Flashman on 2010-08-12Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 4 out of 5

As usual, Sheryl was very energetic and very entertaining. I was disappointed in the sound as I felt the music was too loud for the vocals. I went to hear a terrific vocalist and came away with sore eardrums. I would have thought that a sound check or a sound person at the back of the hall could have rectified this problem. Great to see her and to hear her vocals on the quieter songs. Would like to have heard Run Baby Run.

  • great performance by sheryl and the new band

  • crow was forgettable

    by jose1 on 2010-08-12Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 1 out of 5

she was 15 minutes late, could not hear what she was singing, has no class on stage, the music was loud and fuzzy, the bass was not right, i dont think they listen to their own music, the music was loud in a painfull way.

  • Cheryl Crow never showed up.

    by Rufus700 on 2010-08-12Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 1 out of 5

First of all, the seating at Casino Rama is very uncomfortable, the seats are hard, very little leg room, and if anyone in the row starts tapping their feet, then you start bouncing. I still have other show to see, tickets purchased, but that will be the last ones. Cheryl Crow who I luv, just didn't hit it, no energy by her of the band, tired?, but they all looked down, Cheryl had no pep, although she was trying it seemed, but it all looked and sounded 'forced'. Missed notes, out of key and flat, just very poor and disappointing.

  • A New Sheryl?

by Maplesucre on 2010-08-12Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 4 out of 5

Sheryl was a dynamo of non stop energy at her performance at Casino Rama on Aug. 11. Her voice maintained a high caliber throughout with very few rest periods. I thought she was trying to show us that she could be and do everything: keyboard, piano, guitar, dance, sing strut about. But sometimes less is more. I was hoping to see more of the original Sheryl, the folksy/rock gal with the guitar. This is how most of us fell in love with Sheryl. Sometimes one changes the package so much that one loses the essence. So I was somewhat disappointed to see her play the guitar on only 2 songs. She has changed into a multifaceted Vegas type entertainer. This may be what some people like today but I think the Canadian audience prefers the lone wolf singer/song writer/guitar playing character.....as witness to our icons....Lightfoot, Murray, Young, Arden, Lang, Mitchell et al.....Shery was stunningly beautiful, mesmerizing and held attention throughout. I thought the audience was quite rude in strolling in and out throughout her performance and that this was no reflection on Sheryl but rather a common and unfortunate display of lack of manners at most concerts today. I am a high school English teacher and also play and teach guitar.

  • Sheryl Crow was amazing!

by Peacelily on 2010-08-12Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 5 out of 5

Sheryl Crow played her new songs as well as the older ones. The show was incredible. She has the most amazing voice. The new band she is playing with is different from the old band. Funky beats and amazing guitar. Sheryl was having a great time. We really enjoyed her concert. We have enjoyed Sheryl Crow's music for many years and she never ever disappoints us!

  • I have something to Crow about!

by Maxwell on 2010-08-12Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 5 out of 5

She came, she sang, she conquered... The best show I've ever seen at Casino Rama. Sheryl's a true rock star! Sheryl has tremendous vocal range through her long list of melodic songs. Her music has a real groove that you can't help but clap & sing along to the beat. She also looks amazing & comes across as ultra cool. You can tell she loves her music as she gets into a zone & moves around the stage in a real jive. The band really complements Sheryl as she work her way through her great song list. I'll be sure to see her again next time she's in town.

  • Disappointing

by KathBruce on 2010-08-12Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 2 out of 5

I like a lot of Sheryl's music but found this show rather boring. She lacks dynamics and connection with the audience. Wouldn't recommend her show to others.

  • Sheryl Crow

    by 29morgan on 2010-08-12Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 1 out of 5

Worst concert I've ever been to. She didn't know where she was - "Hello Toronto". Zero personality. And then the music - couldn't hear her because her "New" band (if she thinks it's an improvement the old one must have been terrible) was so loud. Was hard to recognize even her old songs the performance was so flat in tone and presentation. Apparently alot of other people agreed judging by the stream of people leaving before us. First concert I've ever left early-wish I could get my $$$ back.

  • Sheryl Crow's R&B Soul Revue

    by Driver8 on 2010-08-12Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 3 out of 5

I felt Sheryl's voice was great and the band of 2 guitars, 2 horns, 2 backup singers, bass, keys, a drummer and a percussionist were very tight. Personally I would have preferred to have seen more of a rock show than an R&B Soul Revival but Sheryl delivered an entertaining set even covering Michael Jackson's I Want You Back which seemed to go over with the crowd. I love Sheryl and it was an entertaining evening but if you are looking to rock out bring your dancing shoes babies. Amen!

  • Sheryl Crow

The show was amazing, even though it started last Sheryl played non stop for 2hrs, and the uncore was the best I have ever seen. Good for you Sheryl.

  • Mellow and memorable!

by melhook on 2010-08-12Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 4 out of 5

This was a more subdued and melancholy artist than we have seen in the last ten years. Musicians were excellent and light show was unforgettable. A nice mix of genres and old and new. Not as many old songs as the audience would have liked, yet her performance showcased her voice and her newest release. Entertaining and great music!!

  • Sheryl Crow was STELLAR!
