we had a wonderful time at the circus! the guy on the wheel of death took our breath away, and he made my hands sweat in fear!
My little one had fun and talked about elephants, horses, doggies and clowns when we got home. At intermission, elephant rides were offerred at a very reasonable $7/child. Being held at a mall, parking was free. Many individuals there, were volunteers. Toy items were not overpriced to the point of gouging. I would rate this as an overall funfilled family experience.
i went with my daughter as she wants to see elephants but really disappointed no elephants was there. I am talking about sunday 5.00 pm show at mississauga.
It was an amazing show i will be going again for a second show i can really explain how wonderful it was all the act was extraordinary.... Beautiful.... it a show you can watch over and over again..
the show was great, but it was almost too long when i had a 4 yr old.. Everyone we went with enjoyed themselves... The actual Shriner individuals really made it more fun by letting the kids play with the instruments before the show..
I took my grandchildren and we all enjoyed it very much, the only downfall was the heat inside the tent was a little much at times. Other wise the kids loved it!!!!!
The show was wonderful and we loved it very much, every single bit was very good, but the remission was over 30 mins, terrible, the kids lost their patience waiting for the show to restart, and the show would not restart because they wanted to make more money with the elephant rides!!!
Almost boring, not enough action- too many still shows, not enough action to peak a variety of person's interest.
Start to finish the circus had a lot of energy and was quite exciting. The acts were amazing and the crowd was completely into the event. Our kids loved all of it. There wasn't a moment of boredom on their faces for the entire 3 hour event. Our kids are 6 years and 18 months and typically do not have long attention spans to anything. The cost was reasonable for the evening. Tickets, food, and souvenirs came to $150.00. I think that is a fair price for a family of 4 at a 3 hour event. The venue (inside a tent) and the closeness of the seating to the performers really made the show. The performers interacted with crowd and had everyone cheering, clapping, and laughing all night long. That energy in the tent was half the exitement. If I had to offer criticism to one area it would be the elevation of the seating. I realize the circus is inside a tent and there may not be much that can be done but each row of seating is not elevated high enough for the next row to see over the heads of the previous row. It's ok for adults but not for kids. We realized this immediately and spent the extra $10/head to get ringside seats which was well worth it. As soon as the circus ended I had two kids come off of their adrenalin high and passed out in each arm before we got back to our car. When this happens I know my kids had a good time. Overall, we had an amazing Saturday and recommend this circus to all families.
awsome show, but the cost of everything is a little extreme for familys. People say families should do more together, but the price of everything makes it a little hard for some people
It proved to be a good and interesting event for my 4 year old. There were some really nice acts thrown in. Expect to spend more with kids if they want a shining light sword or an elephant ride though.
Too mauch selling of stuff - that is not what zi go to the circus for to be bombarded by sales of various items. Not enough animals- this is what I go for to see the tricks and the beauty of the animals. This is also what my daughter was expecting- the human talent was amazing but did not hold her interest. I also heard from a friend that she had gone and felt the same way about it all. I would be very reluctant to recommend this again.
I have to say I was a bit disappointed. I remember a lot more animals when I was a kid. there was no fire, no tight rope, trapeze, the clowns weren't that great. My 3 and 4 year old were so excited to go but yet I thought that it didn't hold their attention very well. The intermission was way longer then the second half of the show. All a big ploy to make you buy stuff, and not as much of the show that it was years ago. they maybe did half of the acts that were shown in the program. I don't think that I would bring my kids again when it is in town next year, unless the price when down or they guaranteed some better acts. When it was over, many people in our section had looks of "that is it!" on their faces, and I heard many say that it was disappointing. Although I might have had very high expectations because I remember the Shrine Circus every year when I was a kid, and it was amazing. Maybe our kids will never experience that due to animal rights activists. But there were still many other acts that could have been in the show that weren't. Sad!
I found the Shrine circus way overpriced and not very entertaining. My children were bored half way through. I was ridiculous to pay 5 bucks for cotton candy as well as everything else. For my family we will never go again and we should have kept our 150.00 bucks that the evening cost.
When I was a kid there were lots of animals. Last night the opening act was a gentleman with 3 dogs, then you had to wait until the end for 2 elephants to do a 5min act. My 3 yr old enjoyed it but that's ofcourse because she is 3. Won't spend that much on tickets again.
The Circus was fine, it was something very very nice but not so bad. Little ones do enjoy it. But everything else was so expensive there.
I took my 19 month old to this event on Mothers Day. The parking was free and well managed. Lots of clowns (all pretty old and some grumpy). The items for purchase (like any other event) were WAY over priced..but I'm hoping most goes to the Childrens Hopital. NO TIGERS, NO LIONS, NO BEAR, NO MONKEYS, Only two elephants and six white horses with wings on their backs. It was three hours long which included a 1/2 hour intermission. Overall the music was good and loud and the venue was easy to get in and out of. I'll go again when my child is older...too long for someone so young.
Very entertaining, great family event, awesome performances. Would prefer assigned sitting in the future.
i took my daughter to the circus it was the first time for both of us since i was a little girl. i thought it was completly awful!! i just looked on the website and the acts on there were not at this circus. i can believe i payed so much to see depressed animals walk around the ring for 10 minutes! i will never go back and waste my money and time.
I thought that the Circus was very well done and a great family outing. I thought that the ticket prices were reasonable, but I didn't agree with all of the other extra purchase items when you arrived. I.E. Parking-$15.00 at Rexall (it cost less for an Oiler game), $7.00 foil balloons, and $10.00 light up toys to name a few. It takes the Circus from being an affordable family evening to a very expensive family evening. The only thing worth paying for was the Elephant, Camel, and or Pony rides.
