Show was dynamic! Well put together, smooth, professional more than we hoped for!

  • SYTYCD was very professional.

The performance was wonderful. Many of the dances were the ones choreographed for the original season 9. Simon Lythgoe was on screen as the host and the top 12 performed. The energy level was high and continuous throughout the show. The dancers must be worn out after the 2 hour workout. Watching this performance live was equal to watching it at home throughout the season. Each performer showed their personalities and evidence of why they deserved to be there. The staging was excellent from the lighting and music to the on screen background. I will definitely purchase tickets for the next season's show.

AMAZING! FANTASTIC! This was absolutely the BEST DANCE performance that I have EVER BEEN TOO (and I have been to more than few over the years...I am over 50 ha!). I would recommend if this if it ever comes to a place near you if you afford it treat yourself and don't miss it!

  • Great dancers in a second-rate setting

by BigBoy1 on 2012-11-09Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

The dancers were great as we've seen for ourselves on TV, but if Toronto's performance is any example, on the road they are showcased on the cheap. America's favourite dancers (since Bell dropped the popular show in Canada, we don't have our own favourites now) are framed with rudimentary lighting, a fog machine, and perhaps two or three props, not the lavish, go-for-broke settings of the super TV production. The crowd lived up to its reputation of behaving like the figure skate crowd, cheering inappropriately for the tricks and oblivious to the subtleties that make dance the oldest, most sophisticated art form.

  • Terrific Show.

  • Professional, polished and worth it if for fans

by Ignatz on 2012-11-09Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Slick traveling show that showcases these super talented performers. Designed for fans of the show and it was great to see these kids live. Routines were fast and none much longer than than seen on the show in summer. The video "hosting" by nigel was a little cheesy and the relentless video ads before the show and during intermission got annoying but can be forgiven since this a big, glittery commercial for the franchise...and I loved it.

Fabulous! I'll be back next year! Hopefully the event is at The Sony Centre again because it is much better than the ACC for this type of event.

  • SYTYCD - Yes they can!!

by AJM60 on 2012-11-09Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

The show was well put together and the dancers were amazing. The only wrong note for me was when they replaced Alex Wong with George --- did not work. Couldn't believe the number of young children there on a shool night - drinking cola and eating popcorn at 9pm ---- felt sorry for their teachers .....

  • Better show this year

    by Plantlady56 on 2011-10-24Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I went to the show both last year and this year. In my seats on the floor last year I could only watch the monitor. This year I had a good enough view that I could see the straps on the back on the girls' costumes. I l enjoyed seeing my favourite acts from the TV show. The only problem I had was with the concession stand. I am recovering from knee surgery, using a cane, but the stand would give me a lid for my pop, even after explaining my problem to the manager. I I ended up with some ice chips in a glass so I could swallow my dinner. I explained the problem to one of the stadium's managers and he brought me my pop, complementary. Good job! The concession stand should learn that rules can be amended for people with disabilities, to prevent discrimination.

  • Awesome Experience

After spending the entire summer watching the dancing, it was great to see the dancers perform some of my favourites on stage. My daughter loved the show. She is a big fan.

We had the VIP tickets and it was really great. We met all the dancers and all but one was very gracious so it was very nice to see and meet them.

  • SYTYCD was INCREDIBLE!!

by Patrizia on 2011-10-12Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Attended the Toronto show and loved every minute of it. Had 3rd row floor seats and experienced no problem with lighting or sound. The dancing was fantastic, the sets and transitions were a great improvement from other years and I loved how group routines and pair routines were blended. Particularly impressive were the Circus Group routine, the cane Jazz (yeah, Jess! with his HUGE stage presence), Melanie's solo, and Jess' solo. As a huge fan of Jess, loved that he danced the Broadway with Melanie (choreographer and dancer dance.) Afterwards, the dancers were extremely accomodating and hilarious. Definitely recommend this show to anyone who loves dance.

  • FABULOUS

I brought 7 friends and each of them were excited and extremely happy after watching the best dancing yet. We were all disappointed when the show was over, as it was a great high!

  • This Show was amazing --- going again next year...

by Neesha on 2011-10-11Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

It was a total of 5 of us. The show was incredible. We had such an amazing time. The dancers performance was excellent, fawless and I can't believe that they actually danced that way. I followed this show everytime it's aired and what at great time we had seeing them in person rocking that stage.

  • by Silver49 on 2011-10-11Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

I was a little disappointed in this show. It was not as good as it had been in previous years. I felt that the dancers weren't always performing to the level of their capabilities. However it was nice to see more group numbers than there has been in the past.
