  • Social D was Crazy!!

by PipemasterT on 2012-10-25Métropolis - MontrealRating: 5 out of 5

I was in the pit from the beginning and brought my girlfriend (90 lbs.) who also had a wonderful time! I didn't have time to buy a beer the whole show because all of there set list is soo solid! I went for a beer about two songs in and open hearing Bakers' field I rushed back to the circling swirling mosh pit. The crowd was nice especially when he played a Mike Ness original. the balcony was full and the audience responsive, so much so that frontman Mike Ness gave a cool speech of the Origin of Social D and there relationship with Canada. Come back soon dudes.

  • Excellent

Sound was very good, the choice of the songs by MN, humor and communication with the spectators. The SD attitude was very positive.

  • A true rock and roll show

Sound quality was awesome. Exactly what I expected and wanted. Will see them again

This was a wonderful and very fun show! I would definitely see Social Distortion again!

  • Awesome!

The years have been good to Mike Ness and Social D and they never fail to impress.

  • Low energy

by Anonymous on 2012-10-22Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

I was really disappointed. Social D, legendary band, always loved their stuff on record, still do. But almost an hour wait after the second opener. Band walks onstage slowly, Mike Ness goes and then takes his hat off and his suit jacket. I mean, come on man, come out with your guitars on and start playing. Never mind the wardrobe after we have been waiting for an hour, then proceed to talk, then play a really lame first song. One of the most disappointing shows I've been to. I left 5 or 6 songs it it was just really low key, and the crowd responded accordingly. Love the band, but sorry, the show was really lacking.

  • Social D rocks TO

One of the best shows i have seen in years. Mike Ness and the lads were on their A game on Saturday!! Crowd was completely involved as well. Great mix of new and old. Can't wait for them to come back!!

  • Absolutely amazing!

    by Kat2009 on 2012-10-22Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Opening acts- the biters were um ok! Lindi Ortega was great, first time hearing her and Social D rocked as usual.

  • Not Impressed

    by Diesel712 on 2012-10-22Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

I was so excited to see Social D @ Sound Academy - great location, always a great crowd. The band sounded great, they are tight and played some of the songs that I was really hoping they would play. Mike Ness seemed bored and uninspired - the whole band seemed to be just going through the motions. We had more fun listening the albums on the drive home than we did at the show.

  • Story of their Lives

    by Wpggirl2 on 2012-04-28Burton Cummings Theatre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

When you go to see Social Distortion, you know what you're going to get. A show filled with Rockabilly So-Cal music, high energy, and the amazing Mike Ness. One of our group wasn't really even a Social D fan, but just seeing them live made him a convert. If they come to your town, you should go see them. Period.

  • Social Distrortion was awesome

Great concert. Sound wasnt great in that venue, but the band made up for lack of quality with quantity! They played a nice long set, with a great variety of new, old and fan faves.

Glad I got to see the legend. Sound wasn`t the greatest for the entire show, openers included. Muffled like. (Show was at Burton Cummings).

  • Social Distortion were great to see live!!!!

by Jadaaja on 2012-04-25Burton Cummings Theatre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

I loved watching each of the guys from Social D. Listening to their music live and watching them play their instruments from a simple stage was so cool, just like 20 years ago!!! Just them and their music, very cool!!!

  • Social D! Hail To The Kings!

    by FanBoy100 on 2012-04-25Burton Cummings Theatre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Social D just re-enforced why they are the greatest band on the planet. A stripped down show that did not need any of that fancy crap that the big name bands tour with, just the music and the energy that goes with it. There are to few bands like this left in the game so thank the rock and roll gods that we still have Social D. Mile Ness has never sounded better and his banter with the crowd was very surprising. The set list was beyond awesome and they played for an hour and forty minutes. I have been going to concerts for 36 years and have seen just about everyone that is worth seeing and this would rank as one of the 2 best shows I have had the privilege of attending. I could follow this band for 50 shows in a row and never get bored of the music. Performed with all the slickness of a band that is polished and just knows what the hell its doing and what is needed to make your audience sit up and take notice. This is what gives a band longevity, the ability to consistently provide a kick-ass show over and over no matter how many times you see them. this was my 8th Social Distortion show and I can only say this, LONG LIVE SOCIAL D!!!!!!!!! HAIL TO THE KINGS BABY!!!!!!!!!!

  • A+++ Sold out show !!!!!

by NowUknow on 2012-04-24The Odeon Events Centre - SaskatoonRating: 5 out of 5

LIndi Ortega opened the show with a country twang filled set. The Toadies were a no show that night, which was okay, so everyone was treated to a longer set from Social D !!!

  • Social distortion was a sweaty mess and I loved it

by Jojen on 2012-04-24The Odeon Events Centre - SaskatoonRating: 4 out of 5

So packed I could barely move. Was such a great time however the toadies didn't show up. Unfortunate that there was no one to fill the spot. Good show!

  • Yet to disappoint!!

by Dillpickle420 on 2012-04-23The Odeon Events Centre - SaskatoonRating: 5 out of 5

This was the 4th time I've seen social d live and they never leave me unsatisfied!!! The opener was again someone from a completely different genre of music but kept the attention of those on the floor! But now back to social d..... They communicated with the crowed and lipped people off in true punk fashion and performed with passion that can be hard to find in today's current music scene.

  • Social D kicked ass!

by Omegaman23 on 2012-04-23The Odeon Events Centre - SaskatoonRating: 5 out of 5

The boys really rocked the Odeon in Sasktoon on April 22nd! They went pretty much non-stop for and hour and 45 minutes and played their main hits. They finished the encore with an amazing version of "Ring of Fire" which ended the night perfectly. I was standing near the front and to have Mike Ness playing 6 feet away was incredible. I've always liked their sound however now that I've seen them in person I am now a big fan. It's a show I highly recommend; you won't regret it!

  • Great Concert!

I wasn't really sure if I'd enjoy myself as I wasn't all that familiar with Social Distortion but I absolutely loved it!!!! What a great concert - music was fantastic and the band was great.
