Mike Ness and the boys did not fail to deliver on this recent Thursday evening at the Warfield. The first of two sold out nights, saw Social D really stretch out some of their better known numbers with some extended soloing and powerful vocals. Their performance really showed off the chops of Johnny "Two Bags" Wickersham, and the new drummer guy, formerly with Suicidal Tendencies. I was really impressed with his prowess behind the kit and a superb replacement for the departed Atom Willard. Highlights for me included a very heart warming rendition of Bakersfield from the new album, and old fan favorites like Sick Boy.
All in all, another fine evening of SoCal rock n' roll...Unfortunately, too lambasted to stay for any of the encores...
