Squeeze, led by the songwriting duo of Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, produced some of the catchiest songs from the ‘70s British new wave scene. The band’s 1978 self-titled debut and follow-up albums Cool for Cats (1979) and Argybargy (1980) produced a number of hits in the U.K., with a few receiving airplay on U.S. college radio, including “Take Me I'm Yours,” “Up the Junction” and the bouncy “Pulling Mussels (From the Shell).” In 1981, Squeeze released their fourth studio album East Side Story, featuring “Tempted.” The song went on to become one of the band’s most famous songs. It has been featured in movies, TV shows, video games and commercials.

Squeeze has not skipped a beat in 50 years! Best part of the show was how obviously they were enjoying themselves and the energy from the crowd. I would see them again tomorrow!!!
Also, one of the best shows I have seen. Incredible musicianship all the members of Squeeze. The energy of the crowd was wild. So glad they returned to Toronto.
This was one of the best shows this year. It was a bucket list for me and it certainly didn’t disappoint. It was epic!!!
Poor dave wakely from the beat. The spotlight was on him and he asked to have it turned off so many times and Massey hall staff couldn’t figure it out. The man was clearly very upset. But he pulled the microphone back into the shaded part of the stage and carried on. Both the beat and squeeze were fabulous. Great energy.
Im of the belief bands up their game when they play The Pony (have never seen even an average show there)but Squeeze sound just as tight and timely as they did in their heyday. A great mix of classic hits combined with tuneful newer material, English charm and tremendous sound made this a must see. I only wish the tour was longer and more expansive! Take it to the bridge, throw it overboard....
