About

Styx have endured for over five decades while staying true to their progressive rock sound and theatrical live show. Since releasing their self-titled debut in 1972, Styx have sold over 54 million records worldwide between 17 studio albums, 16 compilations and nine live recordings. Notably, the band released four consecutive RIAA-certified multi-platinum albums between 1977’s The Grand Illusion, 1978’s Pieces of Eight, 1979’s Cornerstone and 1981’s Paradise Theatre, the last of which became their first to top the Billboard 200. Across their career, Styx earned eight Top 10 singles on the Hot 100, including the chart-topping “Babe” as well as “Come Sail Away” “Mr. Roboto” and their 1990 comeback single “Show Me the Way.” Despite several hiatuses and lineup changes, Styx have become one of rock’s most consistent touring acts, hosting nearly 100 live shows every year for over two decades and netting career-best earnings on massive co-headlining tours with REO Speedwagon, Foreigner and Def Leppard. In 2021, Styx released their seventeenth studio album, Crash of the Crown.

  • Great concert!

by Stieva girl on 2025-08-16Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was fantastic! The tickets were a birthday present for my husband. He loved it! We enjoyed Don Felder playing some Eagles hits. Kevin Cronin and band did great. What a lovely gentleman! I was so excited that Styx played the Grand Illusion album. It was the first album I owned! Tommy Shaw was fire and Larry Gowan is a great showman! The whole band was tight. We so enjoyed the show!!

  • Great! Especially first 2 musicians!

by Gnk on 2025-08-16Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Don Felder and Kevin Cronin were awesome. Styx was pretty good but was my least favourite! I felt the audience was a bit less engaged too. Venue was nice and weather perfect other than a bit hot! Some fans would’ve been nice!

First time seeing Styx, they were incredible. Would definitely see them again.

  • Excellent performance and venue

by WeedFeed on 2025-08-16Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Concert went well. No major delays getting in and out. GO held a train at Exhibition for us which was great. Bands were still putting out great performances, and the big screens helped us see better from our 408 section seats

  • Amazing show! Friendly staff at Bud Stage!

    by Debs920 on 2025-08-16Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

We had an amazing time!! The concert was great and the staff at the venue were friendly & helpful!

  • Long evening, good performances.

by Mickey on 2025-08-16Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Don Felder and Styx were great. Styx was too loud, especially bass drum. Had to move back.

  • Amazing show!!

by Mr Roboto on 2025-08-16Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Styx never disappoints!! Definitely will see again!

  • Music was not balanced. Could not make out the words

by BB on 2025-08-16Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Lack of good music balance made it almost impossible to hear the lyrics and harmonies.

  • Amazing

by Scout on 2025-08-16Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Was an amazing show. Don Felder and Styx rocked the house for sure.

  • Best ever

by Timboston on 2025-08-16Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I've been to ALOT of Music festivals, Concerts etc... and this by far was one of the best I've been to. If you were looking for great music that you grew up to...most songs in C.D quality...this brotherhood of Rock and Roll had it. These great musicians put on a great show...with top notch sound. I was amazed by the sound ...I will say it...these aging artists. So glad we went.

  • It’s a must see!!!

by Brentster on 2025-08-16Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

All three acts were amazing. 4 hours of good old rock and roll. Lots of energy and lots of fun. Go see it

  • Styx in the Six

by David on 2025-08-16Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I said it before and I will say it again, when Styx performs in Toronto, I will be there. Gowan and Tommy still control the stage and can hit the notes. Good to see 2 Canadian boys performing (Lawrence Gowan and base guitarist Terry Gowan (brother of Lawrence)). JY is magical on the guitar. Styx played their Grand Illusion album from start to finish. A great concert. Looking forward to the next time they perform.

  • Classy Styx

by HAV on 2025-08-16Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Great time at Budweiser Venue in Toronto to see this classic Band still looking like in there prime. GOWAN is a showman and created that theateratrical atmosphere. You have to see them!

  • Excellent Styx

by Amazing stage show from Styx Fantastic on 2025-08-16Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

  • Styx at the Budweiser Stage

by Smokin Joe on 2025-08-16Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Styx put on a great show even played Grand Illusion in its entirety they are such polished professionals.

  • Dazzle razzle

by Hamdog on 2025-08-16Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Styx musically and visually were right on but more hits could have been like Babe and such. Don't Felder was good played lots of Eagles songs Kevin Cronin was okay good band but Styx knocked it out of the park.

  • A fabulous live experience

by WayneC on 2025-08-16Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

A great band continues to Rock from the 70s.... great energy and they played one of my favourite albums fully.... The Grand Illusion..... which is evern more relevant today than when it was first written and recorded! Both opening acts were also fabulous !!!

  • Foreigner and Waite were great - Styx not so much

by Jacy on 2024-07-04Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

I have seen Foreigner a few times and they are still great! I had only seen John Waite on YouTube and they were very good. I wasn't thrilled when Styx came on as their sound was not great - kind of a mushy 'wall of sound' , unlike Foreigner & Waite where each instrument and the vocals were quite clear. Fortunately they came on last, so we left after a couple of songs. Bud Stage was quite clean and the staff were very proficient and friendly. The food was ok but the beer very expensive!
