About

Styx have endured for over five decades while staying true to their progressive rock sound and theatrical live show. Since releasing their self-titled debut in 1972, Styx have sold over 54 million records worldwide between 17 studio albums, 16 compilations and nine live recordings. Notably, the band released four consecutive RIAA-certified multi-platinum albums between 1977’s The Grand Illusion, 1978’s Pieces of Eight, 1979’s Cornerstone and 1981’s Paradise Theatre, the last of which became their first to top the Billboard 200. Across their career, Styx earned eight Top 10 singles on the Hot 100, including the chart-topping “Babe” as well as “Come Sail Away” “Mr. Roboto” and their 1990 comeback single “Show Me the Way.” Despite several hiatuses and lineup changes, Styx have become one of rock’s most consistent touring acts, hosting nearly 100 live shows every year for over two decades and netting career-best earnings on massive co-headlining tours with REO Speedwagon, Foreigner and Def Leppard. In 2021, Styx released their seventeenth studio album, Crash of the Crown.

  • Always a great fun show!!

by Aunty Mitch on 2024-06-24Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Styx always impresses me with how they can wind up a crowd. It was a great choice to open with John Waite and then Foreigner. I had my appendix removed a week before but was dancing for Styx’s entire show, I couldn’t sit down l, not just dancing or swaying, dancing like a crazy person! Definitely non surgeon approved 😂. I’ve seen them before and will see them again!

  • Fabulous as always

by Kimike on 2024-06-21Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve seen Styx perform half a dozen times over the years. They always put on a great show. Gowan is a fantastic addition to the band. He has a great voice and so much energy. Styx never disappoints.

  • Styx and Foreigner

What a time! A weekend we will never forget! The sound quality, the lighting and the staff were absolutely awesome!

  • the Good Old Days

    by Ole'Rocker on 2024-06-20Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

For the last 2 years I seen Styx and Foreigner Come thru headlining there own shows and now for the 3 rd year they come together, Wow what a fantastic show from Start to finish. back in my youth I have seen each of these bands separately when they were up and coming so to see once again them live was very thrilling and rewarding. My only regret as it is for others is knowing that this was the final time to see Foreigner come to Toronto. Thank you so much for all the great music you have produced and played live for all your fans to enjoy ,. You will missed truely.

  • Another phenomenal show

by Bree on 2024-06-20Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

From the first cord, to the finally, what an absolutely spectacular show. Only caught the last few songs with John Waite which were great. Foreigner as with every other concert I have seen, was like listening to their albums. Such high energy, amazing crowd interaction, and just an all out wonderful experience. STYX took the stage, and they blew every expectation, from start to finish, still one of my favorite bands.

  • Bringing me back to my youth

by Greekmanic on 2024-06-18Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Wonderful experience and wonderful memories of the music I grew up listening to daily. John Waite was a great starter, Foreigner and Styx blew the roof off. I like the short lines for beverages, (prices seem a little high for drinks but expected). That little bridge to get to the Go station was a hazard and a huge bottleneck.

  • absolutely awesome

    by Christine R on 2024-06-18Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time seeing Styx I was not disappointed, they sounded great the setlist was bang on I could have listened to them all night. Love this band grew up listening to them but had not had the opportunity to see them so this was a TREAT for me and they did not disappoint. Gowan was great although I hoped for Dennis De Young it was still awesome. There are so many venues they could fill this was a great night, weather was bang on and so was the SOUND...loved it :) Hamilton has a great theatre great acoustics ;) Christine

  • Great show!

by Naro on 2024-06-18Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Was a great show. All three performances had great sound and great performances. Didn’t have to wait long for a bathroom or drinks, but drinks were a little pricey. Transportation after the show was hard to come by and very expensive.

  • Great concert

by Audrey on 2024-06-18Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

  • Lived out my dream!

    by Susy Q on 2024-06-18Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Mind blowing fun. Just an amazing concert. Between Foreigner and The Styx it was a concert that I’ve wanted to watch since I was 16 years old. I’ve lived out that dream!

  • brought the house down

  • Emergency measures

    by RD1965 on 2024-06-17Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

The evening was great ! Other than that, it would be really great upon Budweiser Stage to alleviate the exits . Only one way out ! I'd really hate to see an emergency.

  • Memories from highschool

by Jeni on 2024-06-17Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Brought me back to high school. So much fun. Wish everyone would just put their damn phones down though

  • Foregner & Styx awesome

by Sly on 2024-06-17Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

We drove from Quebec city to see the show. First time at the budweiser stage. Awesome performance from Foreigner and Styx. What a line up

  • Styx still kixs

by Candy Pants on 2024-06-17Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Both Foreigner and Styx rocked Budweiser stage! What didn’t rock was the WAY-over priced beer!

  • A little disappointed

by Stevo on 2024-06-17Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Didn't get to hear my most favorite song "Babe". The Foreigners was more entertaining.

  • Las Vegas Show

by Molly on 2024-06-17Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Could have been a lot better. Felt like I was at a Las Vegas performance rather than a rock concert. Prices at the concessions are absolutely scandalous….9 bucks for a water! 😮

  • Great Show!

by GMM on 2024-06-17Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Styx, amazing! Lawrence Gowan also amazing. My only issue which makes me give them 4 star is they played 3 or 4 songs that were not really in their top 10-15 songs. You could see the crowd’s excitement level drop, mine included. But honestly, they sounded fantastic! Foreigner worth every penny! Fantastic concert!

  • Bands were great!

by Chuck on 2024-06-17Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Bands were great! Only complaint is the number of inconsiderate people who bring oversized lawn chairs and place them in the very front of the lawns. Also, the people who bring giant tarps and blankets, take up a huge area, for only 2 people, while others are looking for a blade of grass to squat on!
