Styx have endured for over five decades while staying true to their progressive rock sound and theatrical live show. Since releasing their self-titled debut in 1972, Styx have sold over 54 million records worldwide between 17 studio albums, 16 compilations and nine live recordings. Notably, the band released four consecutive RIAA-certified multi-platinum albums between 1977’s The Grand Illusion, 1978’s Pieces of Eight, 1979’s Cornerstone and 1981’s Paradise Theatre, the last of which became their first to top the Billboard 200. Across their career, Styx earned eight Top 10 singles on the Hot 100, including the chart-topping “Babe” as well as “Come Sail Away” “Mr. Roboto” and their 1990 comeback single “Show Me the Way.” Despite several hiatuses and lineup changes, Styx have become one of rock’s most consistent touring acts, hosting nearly 100 live shows every year for over two decades and netting career-best earnings on massive co-headlining tours with REO Speedwagon, Foreigner and Def Leppard. In 2021, Styx released their seventeenth studio album, Crash of the Crown.

Great energy, great song selection. Great mix. Amazing harmonies and playing. Best old guy band out there.
Styx put on an awesome show. Lawernce Gowan is such a high energy performer and Tommy Shaw still sounds the same. They played all the songs we love to listen to.
It was such an amazing concert! Styx and Heart were both so good. Styx sounded as good as they did in the 80’s. It was so impressive how great there harmonies were and I will definitely go back and see them again. Such a great night of music!!
High energy performance singing all the well known songs and hitting high notes.
The concert was very good although I did not know the original singer of Heart had left the group and though her replacement knew the songs some just did not sound the same. Styx on the other hand was amazing and a total joy to watch.
Styx still rocks! They sound exactly like the did in the 70's! Such a great show! Lots of energy from the musicians. Highly recommend seeing them.
Styx sound and vocals were as good as ever. They haven't lost a bit in all these years. The only problem is that they have so many great songs but can't play them all in one concert.
Styx put on a good old fashion concert. Played all their favourites. Replacement lead singer was crisp and sounded just like the original.
It would appear that Styx sound better today than all those years ago. Sound quality was amazing, along with amazing set list! Please come back again!
Loved the music, Tommy Shaw still has a great voice. The only thing negative was Gowan. If he would just stick to singing, he did an ok job replacing Dennis De Young. but all the jumping around was very annoying, really felt like the spotlight always had to be on him. I get it if he is singing but when he's not singing its like he still needed it to be all about him. He is a one hit wonder and should act like one.
Styx was high energy and the concert was a lot of fun. Some of the banter between songs was muddled. I can’t believe Heart didn’t play Magic Man-very disappointing
Styx still has it after all those years! Great performance & very entertaining too! Not disappointed at all!
Both bands were excellent…but Styx was still so tight musically for there ages the where vibrant and nostalgic. Fantastic night The good old days
Great show start to finish ,all their best songs and more -excellent showmanship and great classic rock voices Would like to hear a few more heart tunes like nothin at all otherwise more than your monies worth!
First class performance ! amazing their voices were still as good from 40-50 years ago. I would see them again and again !
We had a super time at the Styx concert. What a great trip back in time ... but also a visceral musical experience in the present with these accomplished musicians! The only drawback was the venue. This was our first event in the Abbotsford Arena. Given the mastery of the band ... virtuoso piano, guitars, bass and vocals coupled with great lyrics and tunes it is a shame it was somewhat dampened by the acoustics. We were on the floor so pretty close and central ... not sure if this is a common problem with that arena or if it was the sound engineering?
Nancy kicked the night off with a great opening performance! She's still GOT IT! And as for STYX.... What can I say.... FANTASTIC!! BUT!! To the show organizers. You knew we'll in advance that this show wasn't selling as expected. So your plan to move all concert goers from their upper bowl seats without notice.... That was VERY disappointing! To put everyone through the hassle of having to go to the box office to receive "re-issued" seats on the spot.... Not very impressive!
Both Nancy Wilson and Styx can still put on a great, high energy show, even after doing it for 50 years. Everything was great, except for the old munchkin sitting behind us, who was complaining and raging about people standing up. I was able to snag a set list and guitar pick from Styx, to end a great evening.
Live music is the great for the soul. Choose your seats wisely for the best sound.
Great concert and production. Unbelievable how the older genrration can perform with such vitality. My knees hurt just watching lol.
