Styx have endured for over five decades while staying true to their progressive rock sound and theatrical live show. Since releasing their self-titled debut in 1972, Styx have sold over 54 million records worldwide between 17 studio albums, 16 compilations and nine live recordings. Notably, the band released four consecutive RIAA-certified multi-platinum albums between 1977’s The Grand Illusion, 1978’s Pieces of Eight, 1979’s Cornerstone and 1981’s Paradise Theatre, the last of which became their first to top the Billboard 200. Across their career, Styx earned eight Top 10 singles on the Hot 100, including the chart-topping “Babe” as well as “Come Sail Away” “Mr. Roboto” and their 1990 comeback single “Show Me the Way.” Despite several hiatuses and lineup changes, Styx have become one of rock’s most consistent touring acts, hosting nearly 100 live shows every year for over two decades and netting career-best earnings on massive co-headlining tours with REO Speedwagon, Foreigner and Def Leppard. In 2021, Styx released their seventeenth studio album, Crash of the Crown.

Very well put together show. They sound incredible. If you get a chance to see them it is well worth it.
This was one of the best rock outs we’ve been to. You could tell the band was having so much fun, and we were excited to be a part of it!
Nancy Wilson is a lovely and talented musician and put on a decent show for an opening act. Her backup vocalist to do the “Ann” parts is extraordinary and does a great job…but not Ann. Styx on the other hand put on a spectacular, rocking show with appropriate lights and smoke and, most importantly, the MUSIC was bang on. Larry Gowan is perhaps a better frontman and his vocals are incredible. Tommy Shaw is in peak form and JY is still rocking. Love they have Chuck on the road with them too. An amazing show with many memories stirred. Loved them!
This was our first major concert after 3 years and we couldn’t have picked a better one! Wow! It surpasses our expectations right from the opening act of Nancy Wilson’s Heart, which could be its own show! Nancy was amazing as was her “rag tag” band and her AMAZING singer. Then Styx just blew us away. Gowan was even better than we could have hoped for and is a natural front man. He kept everything going and clearly was having a great time. His voice is just 100% perfect for Styx. Incredible. Not to mention his keyboard talents. Tommy Shaw and the rest of the band were also fabulous. They all had so much energy and Tommy’s voice was also spot on. Just incredible to see how great they still sound. We’ve been listening to them for 50 years and finally heard them love. We were not disappointed. This concert was worth every cent!!
Music was as good as ever and Larry Gowan put on an exceptional performance both musically and entertaining.
I’ve seen quite a few “classic rock” acts within the last 15 years and this show was definitely one of the best. Even the songs I wasn’t as familiar were entertaining and very good. The band had such a great positive and enigmatic energy.
This concert was epic! Styx does not disappoint. And Gowan playing with them was unbelievable! He is a performer and musician of huge proportions. A definite must see!
Who can make that sound!!!! Absolutely amazing moving sounds, and melody from top of the line musicians. My heart is full ♥️ Thank you Styx
I was so happy when ticket prices went on sale at thanksgiving!! Styx is my 2nd favourite non Canadian band after the Eagles. Ticket prices have been unaffordable to me for the huge number of shows coming this year. Opening band Nancy Wilson’s Heart was great. Sound was a little off which had me worried for the main show. When Styx took the stage my worries vanished as the sound was perfect. A great sounding show. Stage show itself was their usual set up with some new lights. A simple but good stage. No giant screens. I knew every word to most of the songs. Enjoyed the new material as well. The best part for me was being able to get out to a function like this again with my oldest daughter. We all know why so won’t dwell on that. Just wish ticket prices for these shows could be more affordable so I could take in a few more.
First class show - enjoyed every minute. Lawrence Gowan is such a great front man - total talent throughout the Band. Great time
What a great time. Good show great songs. Styx rocks.
We had floor seats. I had people in front of me that were very tall which i could not see from where i was sitting or standing amd had to move towards the sound systen where I could see everyone on the stage. The band did am amazing job entertaining the crowd. The keyboard player/lead singer Lawrence Gowan gave quite the show with his moving keyboard and him playing backwards. Dancing and moving all the while. It was the first time I saw them performing live and it was something to see. Loved it.
It was a very wonderful experience to share with my dad and I'm grateful their music has been such an influence to many generations.
The show was just amazimg and we were so happy they played all there older music too...just sounded like they always sounded...loved them !!!
This show was amazing. Nancy Wilson started the show and was ao good and then Styx who put on a fantastic show. Thank you for coming to Saskatoon
Nancy Wilson's Heart opened and they were excellent. The new vocalist is so strong that on some songs: Crazy on You, and Baracuda, it was like listening to the original. STYX was amazing. We couldn't believe that after all these years they sound just like they did the first time we heard them. The show was fantastic. Their energy was infectious, and their playlist followed by three encores did not disappoint. This show was threr and one half hours but was so entertaining ig seemed lkke meer minutes. We definitely got.more than our monies worth.
Band was awesome. Venue was great and the acoustics were fantastic. Would definitely recommend and go again. Styx was awesome and still sounds like they did in the 70’s only better!
Totally did not expect this level of excellence ! I knew it was going to be Stellar , just did not know Heart and Styx were going to knock it out of the arena , blasting it thru out the Milkyway and distance galaxies. Flipping Excellent !! Thank you !
Great show! I've seen Styx 5 times now and I think this was the best one I've seen. It's obvious they've been playing together a long time and the latest effort from this version, Crash of the Clown is by far their best since Grand Illusion
Styx showed why they still tour and bring in the crowds. A great set list, musicianship and sound. A big shout out to Gowan, impeccable vocals, keyboards and showmanship. A huge addition to the band. Opening Nancy Wilson of Heart and band brought Hearts hits with Nancy’s great guitar playing and vocals and additional vocalist doing justice to Ann’s songs.
