Styx have endured for over five decades while staying true to their progressive rock sound and theatrical live show. Since releasing their self-titled debut in 1972, Styx have sold over 54 million records worldwide between 17 studio albums, 16 compilations and nine live recordings. Notably, the band released four consecutive RIAA-certified multi-platinum albums between 1977’s The Grand Illusion, 1978’s Pieces of Eight, 1979’s Cornerstone and 1981’s Paradise Theatre, the last of which became their first to top the Billboard 200. Across their career, Styx earned eight Top 10 singles on the Hot 100, including the chart-topping “Babe” as well as “Come Sail Away” “Mr. Roboto” and their 1990 comeback single “Show Me the Way.” Despite several hiatuses and lineup changes, Styx have become one of rock’s most consistent touring acts, hosting nearly 100 live shows every year for over two decades and netting career-best earnings on massive co-headlining tours with REO Speedwagon, Foreigner and Def Leppard. In 2021, Styx released their seventeenth studio album, Crash of the Crown.

Excellent performance! Brought back memories. Thanks for fantastic evening!
Really enjoyed the show, but the mics just weren't right. Wished it went a little longer with some missed songs :( Don't get me started on parking ?? And I want to point out that only speaking French for an english based band, doesn'tmakesense.... Don't forget to address the audience in English too, That's the music, That's the audience!! You're not in Habitibi or Lac St-Jean.... Seriously, it's enough!! :(
Amazing venue to see a show!! I would definitely see a show s to the Place Bell..
Bon spectacle bcp de vieux souvenirs place Bell best place pour un spectacle Gowan super 🤘
From the moment they stepped on stage I knew I was going to love it!
There is no doubt about the musicians’ talent; however, the sound is a great part of a show. Unfortunately, the show was not great because of a poor sound. There was a lack of clarity and definition with poor separation between instruments (especially in the low frequencies). The guitar solos might be great, but we could not “hear” them because of the muddiness of the sound. Likewise for the drums. Yes, sitting on the side of the stage we do not get the same clarity as in front of it. However, for such a venue, it should not be as prevalent. Perhaps dropping the volume a few DBs could help.
Styx proved again that they still can connect with their audience while rolling out an evening of their greatest hits. They have aged like a fine wine and their voices have held up beautifully. Great showmanship, musicianship and an all around good time. There is no greater feeling than singing along with 19k people.
Merci STYX
Styx was my very first concert at the tender age of 12. Now 47 years later, they didn’t disappoint!!!! Gowan is a perfect fit!! I loved every moment of it, it brought me back to my childhood. Also love the Place Bell venue, smaller version of the Bell Center, Comfy seats and the sound quality is much better being a smaller venue. Ample places to park. All in all a great concert experience!
We were by the sides of the stage and couldn't hear anything clear. Both voice and music were impossible to understand. Band was great but without a good sound our experience was reduced to some mimics and noise. Too bad.
It was an amazing show. Styx is one of my favorite bands of all time. I loved the venue.
It was a good show. I didn't know the opening act, didn't like it at all. Especially since I thought the opening act was going to be Foreigner.
Wonderful night Hits after hits Great energy and performance
Not too sure what happened to the title because the title for the concert was Styx, foreigner, and John Waite, when I bought the tickets five months ago when I got to the concert, in Montreal it was Styx and a no name opening act. But don’t get me wrong the concert was excellent. Now I’m looking for a Foreigner concert.
Great show. Played a few songs I didn't know. Could have played 'You're a strange animal"and maybe "Light up" Gowan has a great voice but found he was a little over the top with the theatrics!
A unique experience and a great all around show. The sound was very good and the lights were not too much in your face. Styx was in good form creating a synergy on stage, all members knew their roles and they mended perfectly. Great music with all the big hits played. Very good show.
Styx a offert une prestation exceptionnel et de grande qualité. Quel bonheur de pouvoir voir et entende ce band live. Un gros wow a tout le groupe !!!
Styx are still very good. Gowan is awsome but the sound at the Place Belle was bad.
One of the best concerts I've seen. Excellent sound quality and loved the bands interaction with the crowd. The only negative I experienced is the small/extremely close seating on the main floor. This type of seating is not acceptable. I shared my seat with the gentleman next to me because not everyone is petite. Otherwise great time!!
