The band was amazing, the sound was amazing…the lights were great, and the staff at the venue was also great. My friend and I had a wonderful evening!

    The best of the best

by Theodore on 2009-09-20Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

It was such an intimate show, as one could only expect from Jeremy and the boys. The new song was amazing...I had no idea they were working on new stuff!!! INSANE! I was a little dissapointed to find out beforehand that there would be no songs from How It Feels... and The Rising Tide (Faces In Disguise would have been the perfect last song to the set) otherwise it was everything I imagined and more!

    They're back!

by ozflow on 2009-09-18Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

They sounded like the first day i heard them. Flawlessly tight and powerful. Everyone looked great and happy. I didn't want it to end and neither did anyone else.....

    Dream come true

by SeanInVancouver on 2009-09-18Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

This was SDRE's first show in years, but it was like they never stopped. It was incredible! The band was all really into it, they were excited to be back. Sounded tight, exactly like their recordings, and the mix was good. Jeremy's voice was sore at the start and he still sang beautifully. Maybe the best show I've ever seen. Drummer was knocking his cymbals over with intensity, guitar player was smiling the whole time, jeremy didn't miss a single note. The jealous sound would have been better if the crowd was into them. Maybe canadians don't know them well enough, cause it was pretty dead. And the sound wasn't great for them. They're a great band though and I hope they get better response south of the border. Still, they played a decent show.

sunny day - great to have them back!!!

by hobogoblin on 2009-09-18Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

the show was great. the sound was good. the band was in fine form considering it was their first show in 10 years. jeremy's voice sounded as good as ever, and they were tight! mostly played songs from the first 2 albums, pretty heavy set. all in all it was awesome. i want to go again! the opening band was ok - the jealous sound - tight musically, but pretty much your standard emo-boy rock...not my first choice, but sunny day rocked!

Sunny Day was more than I'd hope they'd be

by sunnydayrealtor on 2009-09-18Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Overall a great performance. They played songs mostly from their first and second album and I was hoping that they would also play songs from their more recent albums. At times I found the volume overwhelming, and I've seen tons of shows at this venue that didn't feel this loud. "In Circles" was mind blowing.
