About

System Of A Down are a heavy metal band from Glendale, California. Formed in 1994, the band’s lineup consists of frontman Serj Tankian, lead guitarist Daron Malakian, bassist Shavo Odadjian and drummer John Dolmayan. System Of A Down released their self-titled debut album in 1998, but their breakout hit came in 2001 when they dropped “Chop Suey!” as the lead single off their sophomore studio set Toxicity, which earned the band their first Grammy nomination and ultimately helped them notch their first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200. Further projects in the quartet’s hard-rocking discography include Steal This Album! (2002) and fellow chart-toppers Mezmerize (2005) and Hypnotize (2005). In 2020, the band unveiled the double A-side “Protect the Land” and “Genocidal Humanoidz” — their first release in 15 years — to raise awareness and more than $600,000 for the Armenia Fund amid the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War. In 2025, they embarked on a series of co-headlining stadium dates with Korn, Avenged Sevenfold and Deftones.

  • An experience. The long walk made it feel like a rock mecca.

Amazing experience. So big, so loud and could be a little more 'grand'. The ONLY issue which is no secret is the 30-45 min walk out just to find a streetlight. Instead of paying $60-80 rickshaws, there should be a closer drop off for some sort of special event bussing, Uber/Lyft, etc. I was well aware of this issue so mentally I think I was ready for anything. I flew in the day of late cuz SOAD wanted their concert held on the first day of Newfoundland kindergarten lol. Rented a car, booked myself into the airport hotel and burned it to the show about 30 min away. Then came the walk. Made it just in time to have a few $20 beers with my friends and catch the first song of the Deftones. Felt like a Rockstar myself that day 🤟 ...and still it was a 10/10 with memories to last a lifetime! JD

  • Rocking Rogers Stadium !

Fantastic show! SOAD is their own genre!. I was familiar with the all their hit singles, but after seeing them live, I've added 7 more of their tunes to my playlist ! They don't tour often so it was literally a once in a generation event. 5 stars !

  • SOAD!!!

by Cherrycola on 2025-09-12Rogers Stadium - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The venue itself wasn’t my favourite. It took an hour and 22 minutes by Uber plus half hour walk to the actual stadium!! The metal stairs and bleachers were scary! System of a Down was amazing as usual!!! They put on a great show and every song was a banger. Would go through all that again to see them.

Absolutely loved System of a Down's performance. They are electrifying!!! Great sound, great lights and screens. Wish I could go back in time and re-live the experience again.

Amazing! They can really get the crowd going. I went the first night and liked it so much that also went to the 2nd one!

  • Amazing show, great location

by Monica on 2025-09-10Rogers Stadium - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was AMAZING. it really rocked my world hehe. I went with low expectations as the band has been around for a while, not considered in their prime anymore and without many concerts in a year. But everything was spectacular. They have really mastered their craft. The most popular songs were reimagined and the less popular ones were given a place to shine. There were also fun intermissions which made me realize how experimental the band actually is. The passion for music was felt strong & the entire crowd was such a vibe. Everyone had a stelar time and was in a good mood! If you have the chance to go to one of their concerts, DO IT!
