Fun and entertaining the entire way through. Pretty much what you would expect from the South Park writers.

About
The New York Times calls it "the best musical of this century." The Washington Post says, "It is the kind of evening that restores your faith in musicals." And Entertainment Weekly says, "Grade A: the funniest musical of all time." Jon Stewart calls it "a crowning achievement. So good it makes me angry." It's The Book of Mormon, the nine-time Tony Award® winning Best Musical.

by Lettuce on 2018-10-03Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverSound system was off the first act. They improved it for the second act. It is hard to follow the story when the sound is distorted. Lots of energy by the troop. Some good song and dance numbers.

Rating: 5 out of 5 I believe!
by Tacotime on 2018-10-03Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverBook of Mormon was unbelievable. It was super hilarious and offside. The music and performance were great. It’s certainly not your mama’s Roger and Hammerstein musical but very worthy of its Tony awards. If you are easily offended, this may not be the show for you but if you’re into satire and making fun of organized religion with a feel good ending. Go see it!

by Zxcvas on 2018-10-03Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverI really enjoyed the production I had a bit of a problem understanding some of the lyrics, so missed some of the jokes but overall it was a hit.
Rating: 5 out of 5 So much fun!!
by DianefromVictoria on 2018-10-02Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverThis show was so much fun! I’ve been wanting to see it since it debuted in New York and I’m so happy I got the chance. The entire theatre was howling with laughter from the opening to the close. There is a parental advisory warning and it is warranted. NOT a show for kids!

Rating: 2 out of 5 A huge disappointment
by DKarli on 2018-10-01Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverAlthough it seemed that much of the audience enjoyed the show, I almost left at intermission. I had been told the show was excellent, the music was great and it really wasn’t that much about religion. I acknowledge the music and dancing was good but I found much of the show gross and crudely sexual in both word and action, and that part was not funny though I think it was intended to be. I’ll grant that there were some truly funny parts, mostly involving Elder Cunningham (Arnold). I am amazed, also, that there aren’t more Mormans who are offended with the liberties this show takes with their religion. Though there is some effort made to separate this group from traditional Mormons, there are so many references that someone unfamiliar with the religion could easily take the presentation literally. Oh yes, and the blacks in the show were stereotyped. Overall, it was a total waste of Money

Rating: 1 out of 5 Poor Humor
by dougkran on 2018-09-30Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverFound the humour in poor taste such as a “Ugandan man having sex with a child to rid himself of aids” and many other poor examples.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Should be required viewing!
by EntertainmentDiscerner on 2018-09-30Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverThis may very well be my favorite musical. While it is somewhat irreverent, it is also very insightful and has an important message. The main characters, Elder Cunningham and the young African girl were particularly appealing, in their vulnerability and "coming of age" transition. It showcased the first vs third world view of what constitutes a problem..
Rating: 2 out of 5 Meh
by Soapy12345 on 2018-09-30Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverStarted out with great promise but just didn't deliver. There were some good lines and situational gags, and the dance numbers were fun, but all three quickly became repetitive and, quite frankly, boring. The humour wasn't terribly clever which was a disapointment especially given the wealth of material Mormonism provided Parker and Stone, as well as their great success with South Park. Chalk it up to an expensive experience.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Loved it!!!!!
by Fred3 on 2018-09-30Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverGreat music, funny, fabulous sets, wonderful cast. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Laugh! Laugh! Laugh!
by Pinkbaby on 2018-09-30Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverAn excellent evening of laughter as well as learning about the Mormon church. Would definitely see it again. The only concern was that the sound was muddy and in a musical where the words are important, it was sometimes very hard to understand.
