The Cat Empire is a genre-defying ensemble that formed in Melbourne, Australia, in 1999. Blending ska, jazz, rocksteady, and hip-hop, the six-piece produces a wildly eclectic sound and live show that has toured worldwide, from major festivals like Glastonbury to making buzzworthy appearances on the Late Show with David Letterman and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The Cat Empire has produced multiple No. 1 albums in Australia, including Two Shoes (2005) and Rising with the Sun (2016). After announcing their decision to disband in 2021, a refreshed lineup was announced in July 2023 led by original members Ollie McGill and Felix Riebl with the additions of Grace Barbé on bass, Daniel Farrugia on drums, Neda Rahmani on percussion and Lazaro Numa on trumpet. On August 25, The Cat Empire released their ninth studio album, Where The Angels Fall, with a supporting world tour scheduled for the fall.

Best Cat Empire show i have seen. Dancing and party all night
The band was incredible. Their energy, musicality and visceral fan connection made for a transformative experience. When I looked around the hall every single face was sporting an ear-to-ear grin. The rakes floor while making good sight lines is killer on the knees. If DMH would only create terraced Standing room only levels you could dance all night AND see.
Just like the title says The Cat Empire are always such a fun show live. Played a lot of bangers the crowd could have been a bit more into it tho
I love it when I go to a concert and the band is way better live than on record. That's the case with the Cat Empire. All members are so talented and they look like they just love playing. Highly recommend the Cat Empire the next time they are in town.
Such a fab experience, I’m a big fan of the commodore ballroom as a venue and both the support act and Cat Empire just grinned from ear to ear from start to finish and the whole room was filled with joy. An absolute treat.
Amazing show as always!Unmatched energy from felix and the band. Great atmosphere in the crowd as usual
Cat Empire was amazing! The energy was incredible. The vibe at The Commodore is insane. What a great positive night that left me feeling refreshed in this crazy, sad world we are now living in.
The band was full of energy and talent. They know how to entertain and put on good show. Really tight musicians. It was my third time seeing the band. Great Brass and vocals
This band live is like no other. Bring your dancing feet. So much energy and fun. Great big sound. Love these guys.
Absolutely amazing concert. Danced and sang the whole night. 100% see them when they come back❤️❤️❤️❤️
