About

The Lumineers are a Grammy-nominated indie folk band from Denver, Colorado. Led by founding members Wesley Schultz (lead vocals, guitar) and Jeremiah Fraites (drums, percussion, piano), the band is often credited for helping mainstream the Americana genre in the 2010s, the band has cultivated a following thanks to their vivid storytelling, dynamic live shows and catchy choruses. Their 2012 hit “Ho Hey,” from their self-titled debut, reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2016, they released their second studio album Cleopatra, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The Lumineers headed out on their first headlining arena tour in 2017, and opened for U2 at stadiums on the band's Joshua Tree Tour that same year. The band’s anthemic ballad “Ophelia” also went viral on TikTok in 2020–21, with help from a dancing kangaroo, and introduced the band to a new legion of fans. In January 2022, The Lumineers released their fourth studio album, BRIGHTSIDE, which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and was described by The Telegraph as “a sweet slice of Americana that will get right under your skin.”

The Lumineers were fun and entertaining! The beer/cooler garden could be improved. It was set up as a maze to enter & exit and nobody was able to see into or out of the area. At least we were able to bring our beers/coolers out of the area.

The opening acts were decent and the lumineers were amazing of course, but they played 13 or 14 songs and it was over waaaayy too soon, at 930 I think!

    Best show

by grahamcrumbs on 2013-09-23Deer Lake Park - Burnaby

I took my niece to see the Lumineers for her birthday and I'm so glad I did! The energy in the park was amazing - and the band came out and played in the audience, literally 5 feet away from us. What a highlight! Thanks for an awesome show and memorable evening!

    What a great concert!!!

by swaston17 on 2013-09-23Deer Lake Park - Burnaby

The best part was when The Lumineers walked off the stage and through the crowd to a tiny little stage set-uphalf way up the audience and played a couple of songs there!!! (about 20ft away from where we were sitting!) The sound was incredible, plus there was a full moon!! They also played alot of new songs! Can't wait for the new album!!! Couldn't get any better!!!!!!

    Lumineers - perfect night

by Shariw on 2013-09-22Deer Lake Park - Burnaby

Deer Lake Park in all its glory. Beautiful fall evening made better by the Lumineers. Loved that they came out in the audience for a couple of songs. Even an couple getting engaged to round out the evening.

They stopped the best songs for irrelevant reasons. The cool thing was that they when into the crowd and we got really close, could almost touch them. Too hyped up. I've have the album and was really excited for this concert but I was a little disappointed.

    So Much Fun!!!

by bangers on 2013-09-22Deer Lake Park - Burnaby

The Lumineers were fantastic, the venue was great, although the grass was a bit wet, we were prepared and would definitely go to Concerts in the Park again. Loved the available food, water, parking etc. The highlight, was when the band walked into the crowd and played two songs from the middle of the audience. It was a definite awesome experience.

    Lumineers kicked it up

by Dakota1955 on 2013-09-22Deer Lake Park - Burnaby

The show was terrific and encompassed everything one could want to hear from them. Of course, with only one album to their credit, it was pretty much a given we'd hear the entire thing. But there were some extras which were a nice interjection as well. Dylan's "Subterranean Homesick Blues" was nicely done, Lumineers-style. Of course, I'm probably one of the few in the crowd who recognized the song so I may have had an unfair advantage. The duo of Wesley Schultz & Neyla Pekarek delivered a duet of something new the band has come up with. And if it's any indication of what's ahead, The Lumineers won't be relegated to obscurity after one album. All in all it was a very good show. Sadly, I think the days of seeing them in smaller venues is a thing of the past.

    Crappy Concert

by Pizzabox on 2013-09-22Deer Lake Park - Burnaby

They stop on the hit song "Ho Hay" or whatever it's called and ask everyone to stop taking pictures, then they give up and start another song. Stoned and drunk out of their minds, they sing two songs in the middle of a crowd where everyone could not see them. What a joke of a band and a waste of my money. My advice to the band is to drink less and you might not be known as a one-hit wonder.

Warm performance for a chilly night

by Saturnwreck on 2013-06-08DTE Energy Music Theatre - Clarkston

The Lumineers brought an engaging and war performance to the Pine Knob stage. They performed with apparent enthusiasm and delight for the crowd. All of their songs were played plus a cool version of Dylan's Subterranean Homesick Blues. Both opening acts were good - J Roddy played solid rock with a barrelhouse piano sound and Cold War Kids' performance was solid with a unique feel. The Lumineer's performance was a bit short I felt. One hour the about 15 minute encore, but very enjoyable. '

    The Lumineers were amazing!

by Chihiro on 2013-05-30Sound Academy - Toronto

This show was fantastic! Though I do not like the venue since it's jam packed, GA, standing (which for hours starts to hurt) & extremely hot, their performance made up for it! There was quite a long wait time but the show was worth the venue & wait. Their performance was amazing, they sound exactly like they do on their album and they are a very talented group that I would suggest for anyone to go and see. It is a concert that I will never forget!

Great experience! The Lumineers were amazing to see live because they incorporated the crowd into their act and focused on getting the crowd to be there in the moment. They sounded even better live than on their album and would definitely see them again!

Better live than on the CD

Always amazing when a band sounds better live than on their CD, hard to find these days. A truly fantastic show and would go to this concert again and again!

The venue was awesome. The doors opened an hour later than advertised. Therefore the music started later than supposed to. The opening band was AWEFUL. Very talented drummer though. The time between sets was WAY TOO LONG, especially being packed in like sardines. The Lumineers were AMAZING. It was worth sitting through the screechy first band to hear them. The encore in the middle of the crowd was awesome. Only gave a 4 rating because of the first band, otherwise the Lumineers are a 6.
