About
The Lumineers are a Grammy-nominated indie folk band from Denver, Colorado. Led by founding members Wesley Schultz (lead vocals, guitar) and Jeremiah Fraites (drums, percussion, piano), the band is often credited for helping mainstream the Americana genre in the 2010s, the band has cultivated a following thanks to their vivid storytelling, dynamic live shows and catchy choruses. Their 2012 hit “Ho Hey,” from their self-titled debut, reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2016, they released their second studio album Cleopatra, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The Lumineers headed out on their first headlining arena tour in 2017, and opened for U2 at stadiums on the band's Joshua Tree Tour that same year. The band’s anthemic ballad “Ophelia” also went viral on TikTok in 2020–21, with help from a dancing kangaroo, and introduced the band to a new legion of fans. In January 2022, The Lumineers released their fourth studio album, BRIGHTSIDE, which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and was described by The Telegraph as “a sweet slice of Americana that will get right under your skin.”

by Wilddog on 2022-08-10Rogers Place - EdmontonMy wife and I put this in our top 5 performances for large venue arena type shows, right up there with the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty. The runway circle stage was used a lot and gave people back further in the audience a great chance to see and interact with the band performers. Having only been around about 10 years the volume of great hits and great music is amazing, and the performances were tremendous. The energy was constant and interaction with the audience was fantastic. I am hoping the Lumineers continue to evolve and provide more great music for all of us to enjoy. Wesley does such a great job on vocals, but my suggestion on the band to evolve into a truly super group would be to add another vocalist, maybe a female vocalist to round out the band and enhance the entertainment experience. Wesley is great, great, but after 2 hours it starts to become the same presentation and experience, maybe it could be even something more.
