About

Built on the solid, classic rock foundation of three-part harmonies and dual guitar leads, Canada's Juno Award-winning Sheepdogs blend Southern rock, groove-based psychedelia, and bluesy barroom swagger into a modern rock & roll revival. Emerging in 2004, the band found mainstream success in 2010 with the release of their platinum-selling third LP, Learn & Burn, and continued to top the Canadian charts with efforts like The Sheepdogs (2012), Future Nostalgia (2015), Changing Colours (2018), and Outta Sight (2022).

Hailing from the Saskatchewan city of Saskatoon, the band features the talents of Ewan Currie (vocals, guitar), Ryan Gullen (bass), Sam Corbett (drums), Shamus Currie (keyboard/trombone) and Rick Paquette (guitar). From Canadian roadhouses to global music festivals, their on-stage and on-road hours are countless, underscoring their endurance in the music scene. The release of Future Nostalgia and Changing Colours further enriched their discography, leading up to the 2022 release of the jubilant hook-filled Outta Sight, solidifying their impact in the rock domain.

Most recently, their singles from Outta Sight spent a cumulative 90 weeks with at least 1 song in the top 20 at Canadian Rock radio. Prior, their hit singles "I Don't Know" and "Feeling Good" both reached Platinum certification, with "The Way It Is" achieving Gold sales. Additionally, the albums Learn & Burn and The Sheepdogs both achieved Platinum status, and to date the band has been nominated for 11 JUNO awards, winning four.

  • Accessibility upstairs

by RockinWheel on 2022-11-21London Music Hall - LondonRating: 4 out of 5

Yes, this place is the best place in London to see a show let alone anywhere else, but it would be much better if there was a way for people in wheelchairs to go upstairs and watch the show since it’s virtually impossible to see anything on the floor if you could please look into it and making this happen for people in wheelchairs to enjoy the show upstairs would be so important for us and it also shows that you truly understand and care, and lead the way two more places being accessible for us to enjoy the show like able bodies can… Thanks keep bringing in the great acts

  • Sheepdogs NEVER dissapoint

by dunnright on 2022-11-21London Music Hall - LondonRating: 5 out of 5

Great venue but more importantly GREAT band. The Sheepdogs are always on the mark. Amazing show from front to back and the encore included a scorching cover of Neil Young's "Down By The River". If you get a chance to see these guys - make sure you do it! You won't be disapointed

by danger canadian content! on 2022-10-21Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Like you, we've seen a lot of gigs, but this one was special. Rarely do you see a band who at the very top of their game and still have a way to go! The Sheepdogs were drop dead brilliant at Massey Hall, end of. If Neil Young's gig at the same venue was iconic, then this show is right up there.

We just went to see the band in Belleville, ON Canada. The music was fantastic. The only thing Jimmy Bowskill wasn’t there. We were sad lol but great music!

This was my 3rd time seeing the Sheepdogs. This was my favourite concert. They were awesome. And their opening band Boy Golden was great.

  • Awesome as always and caught Ewans guitar pick

by Sharkbite on 2022-10-16Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

My wife and I have seen the Sheep Dogs at least 3-4 times and it was fitting that we saw them before Massey Hall was renovated and seeing them after the Reno’s. Always energetic and sounded amazing. We were sitting in the top centre balcony and during one of their songs Ewan flicked his guitar pick and I felt something hit my chest. Not knowing what it was for sure, I grabbed my cell phone and turned the light on and looked down at my feet and there was the guitar pick. I couldn’t believe it made it up to the top balcony. Had a great time and can’t wait until they come back.

by Jason on 2022-09-26MTELUS - MontrealRating: 5 out of 5

Never owned one of their records. Never even listened to them very much. Went on setlist.fm to see what songs would be played only a few days before and thought they were solid. The live performance made me love them even more. Great energy, the vibe was insane and i was locked in the entire show. A fan now and will go see them again for sure!

  • If you’ve never been to a rock concert…

    by K. S. on 2022-06-10Rating: 5 out of 5

One of the last true rock bands around. These guys are an actual band that sound the same, if not BETTER, live in concert. Worth any penny no matter the venue and a true Canadian treasure.
