About

Built on the solid, classic rock foundation of three-part harmonies and dual guitar leads, Canada's Juno Award-winning Sheepdogs blend Southern rock, groove-based psychedelia, and bluesy barroom swagger into a modern rock & roll revival. Emerging in 2004, the band found mainstream success in 2010 with the release of their platinum-selling third LP, Learn & Burn, and continued to top the Canadian charts with efforts like The Sheepdogs (2012), Future Nostalgia (2015), Changing Colours (2018), and Outta Sight (2022).

Hailing from the Saskatchewan city of Saskatoon, the band features the talents of Ewan Currie (vocals, guitar), Ryan Gullen (bass), Sam Corbett (drums), Shamus Currie (keyboard/trombone) and Rick Paquette (guitar). From Canadian roadhouses to global music festivals, their on-stage and on-road hours are countless, underscoring their endurance in the music scene. The release of Future Nostalgia and Changing Colours further enriched their discography, leading up to the 2022 release of the jubilant hook-filled Outta Sight, solidifying their impact in the rock domain.

Most recently, their singles from Outta Sight spent a cumulative 90 weeks with at least 1 song in the top 20 at Canadian Rock radio. Prior, their hit singles "I Don't Know" and "Feeling Good" both reached Platinum certification, with "The Way It Is" achieving Gold sales. Additionally, the albums Learn & Burn and The Sheepdogs both achieved Platinum status, and to date the band has been nominated for 11 JUNO awards, winning four.

Unreal performance by the Sheepdogs. They gifted the audience with a phenomenal show, humble shout outs to their heroes and really made the whole event a great experience.

One of the best rock concerts I have ever been to. Sheepdogs are a MUST SEE live band!

  • Sheepdogs! Always A Great Time!

by BradJunior on 2018-03-05Burton Cummings Theatre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

I enjoyed the opening act to kick things off. There was about a 15 minute break in between bands which allowed for bathroom breaks and grabbing drinks. Sam Coffey and the Iron Lungs put on a mini concert (45 minutes) and I was definitely pleased with their style! This was my second time viewing the Sheepdogs live. This show was great because they just released their new album and played some of their new stuff and classic hits as well. I really like their new album "Changing Colours". If you haven't purchased it yet, I suggest getting it now. It is one of their best albums to date. I highly recommend going to a Sheepdogs concert for a great time.

  • Sheepdogs know how to Groove!

by NickTy on 2018-03-05Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The energy at this concert was unbelievable. The Sheepdogs have a nostalgic style that brings in elements of some classic musicians, but somehow end up with something that is uniquely their own! Love so many of their originals, but finishing with the Alman Brother's Ramblin Man was perfect! Massey Hall is the perfect venue for so many genres and types of shows and this was no exception. Going to miss it during its hiatus, and hope it stays much the same upon its reopening! Can't go wrong with a ticket to the sheepdogs, add to that a historical venue like Massey Hall, and voila, Magic!!

  • The Sheepdogs - Great sound, great venue

by Muscleshoals on 2018-02-27Burton Cummings Theatre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

The Sheepdogs brought their smooth, old school charm and sound to The Burt and did not disappoint. Great sound with the mix set perfectly to provide clear vocal over instrumentation. This was a struggle for the opener.

Nicely renovated venue - seating is sadly not readily available and the venue was very crowded but we tried to hold our ground and secure a post - and moved when too congested Band was awesome as usual Great show Very glad to see wonderful bands at a small venue in London

  • Sheepdogs are amazing!!

by BradJunior on 2016-03-01Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CanadaRating: 5 out of 5

Sheepdogs are amazing!! One of the best concerts I've ever been to. The opening act was great and got the crowd going. Then when Sheepdogs came out, they got into their groove right away and everyone started grooving along with them and it stayed that way all throughout their entire setlist. I had an awesome time and would definitely recommend seeing them live if you haven't already. I will be sure to see them again next time they're in Winnipeg. Tickets were very reasonably priced and The Burton Cummings Theatre has always been one of, if not my most favourite venue of all time, since it was the Walker Theatre and previously Odeon Theatre. I can't wait to see Sheepdogs there again in the future. Future Nostalgia, buy their album now! You won't be disappointed. Thanks for all your feelin' good rockin' music. Love you guys! Please come back soon.
