About
Built on the solid, classic rock foundation of three-part harmonies and dual guitar leads, Canada's Juno Award-winning Sheepdogs blend Southern rock, groove-based psychedelia, and bluesy barroom swagger into a modern rock & roll revival. Emerging in 2004, the band found mainstream success in 2010 with the release of their platinum-selling third LP, Learn & Burn, and continued to top the Canadian charts with efforts like The Sheepdogs (2012), Future Nostalgia (2015), Changing Colours (2018), and Outta Sight (2022).
Hailing from the Saskatchewan city of Saskatoon, the band features the talents of Ewan Currie (vocals, guitar), Ryan Gullen (bass), Sam Corbett (drums), Shamus Currie (keyboard/trombone) and Rick Paquette (guitar). From Canadian roadhouses to global music festivals, their on-stage and on-road hours are countless, underscoring their endurance in the music scene. The release of Future Nostalgia and Changing Colours further enriched their discography, leading up to the 2022 release of the jubilant hook-filled Outta Sight, solidifying their impact in the rock domain.
Most recently, their singles from Outta Sight spent a cumulative 90 weeks with at least 1 song in the top 20 at Canadian Rock radio. Prior, their hit singles "I Don't Know" and "Feeling Good" both reached Platinum certification, with "The Way It Is" achieving Gold sales. Additionally, the albums Learn & Burn and The Sheepdogs both achieved Platinum status, and to date the band has been nominated for 11 JUNO awards, winning four.

Best Rock Band Live in Canada!
by oldfan19 on 2016-02-11The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5From start to finish the Sheepdogs did not disappoint to the sweet sound of the guitar solos to the strumming of the bass guitar. This band has learned how to compete with the best of them. I have them on tap to one day go down with the likes of Santana, The Eagles and why not, lets toss a little ZZ Top in there. They deliver to their fans like no other Canadian rock band can since Rush!
Awesome show
by Musicfan76 on 2016-02-09The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5Amazing show. I see lots of live music and The Sheepdogs have impressed me. This band rocks.
Good but short.
by CMCC on 2016-02-08The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5I really liked the sound, performance and this venue. I was disappointed at how short their set was; I don't think they played much more than one hour.
Sheepdogs were awesome
by PetiteAgneau on 2016-02-08The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5Great performance by the Sheepdogs. Sound in this venue is also great, and I like the intimacy of the space. I especially like the sloped floor that provides everyone with a view of the stage.
Sheepdogs/Beat Cops: Danforth Music Hall
by Missty on 2016-02-08The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5Rarely does the combination of delivery both musically and the stage set up work as well as it did for botbn both bands at The Danforth Music Hall. Sheepdogs are excellent on vinyl/CD, but they exceeded these with a full on, no holds, runaway train of a set. The addition of Beat Cops from Montreal was a real bonus and their set alos delivered on every level.
Sheepdogs are even better live!
by KWNat on 2016-02-08The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5The sound was unreal! It was my first time seeing the Sheepdogs live and I've since went from liking to loving them. Awesome band!

by fraz00000000 on 2013-09-03Malkin Bowl - VancouverRating: 5 out of 53rd time seeing the sheep dogs and theyve blown me away again. Not a bad song or even a break inbetween em. Had a fantastic time only could have asked for a later curfew so we could hear more!
Fantastic!!
by VGLR on 2013-09-03Malkin Bowl - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5Amazing show! What a voice and what a sound! I didn't know these guys before buying tickets but heard great things - they did not disappoint! First act was great - the harpoonist and the axe murderer - second band just ok but the sheepdogs were fantastic! A real Canadian gem!
Sheepdogs were Awesome
by Hutchdaddy24 on 2013-09-02Malkin Bowl - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5Sitting through the terrible opening acts was definitely worth it as soon as the sheepdogs came out. The weather co operated, the gates opened on time and lines were dealt with properly. Great venue for a show.
Tight band
by bigbirdsparrow on 2013-09-02Malkin Bowl - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5The one thing that becomes very apparent is that these guys have been playing together for some time. They have done the travel, the gigs, the tours as they are very tight in their performance. This isn't a new band that has one hit and tries to entertain. These guys roll from one song to another, going through timing changes effortlessly. Pure experience. Sound was great. Vocals clear and perfect. The back and forth guitar solos between Eden Currie and Leon Hanson were spectacular, seamless and effortless. Great rock and roll reborn. Worth every penny. Who says everything has been done before. These guys took rock and re-invented it.
two words, ROCK and ROLL
by sunshinesoul on 2012-12-21Kelowna Community Theatre - KelownaRating: 4 out of 5The Sheepdogs rocked my knickers off! The sound was perfect and they had a very nice light show. You can tell that they really love their fans. Their set was over an hour long, and after their last song they came back on, and played two more songs. Now I don't know if they always do that, which would be rad if they do, but that made me feel like they really wanted it to be worth it for every one. The band Yukon blonde, who originate from Kelowna, opened for the Sheepdogs. They totally kick butt as well! I've known the singer and guitarist, not sure about the bassist or drummer, from when they were Alpha Baby, so seeing them play was nostalgic! The only thing that bummed me was that not everyone was rockin' out to these stellar tunes!!

The Sheepdogs were amazing!
by turtlegirl on 2012-12-20Kelowna Community Theatre - KelownaRating: 5 out of 5This was an awesome show in an awesome venue! I cannot wait to see what the future holds for these guys! Class Act all the way, left me wanting more. Walked out of there a very happy person and for $40 even better. I would have paid quadruple that to see them! Looking forward to another fantastic album. Way to go guys, you so deserve the fame!
Awesome show!!!!

great music, wrong venue
by JayADee on 2012-12-20Kelowna Community Theatre - KelownaRating: 2 out of 5Loved the bands, the energy of having yukon blonde playing in their hometown was amazing. We ended up leaving before the concert was over...... I felt this was the wrong venue for these bands. the younger people just wanted to dance and go crazy and the older people wanted to sit and enjoy the music. We were surrounded by fabulous kids, they were having so much fun but couldnt dance so just stood there, I can't stand so didnt see anything of the sheepdogs and even if i could stand there were 2 rows of very tall guys in front of me. I would see them again but in a different venue.
